GloRilla on Tour
Self-described as "crunk and dominant," GloRilla is unmistakable in her style, sound and current trajectory to rap domination.
Her breakout 2022 hit, the Hitkidd-produced "F.N.F. (Let's Go)," rocketed GloRilla to rap fame. The song went from a viral TikTok sensation to over 32 million streams on Spotify and No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, No. 11 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hip songs chart, and No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In less than seven months, the newcomer's hit single was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards and Best Rap Performance at the 2023 Grammy Awards. GloRilla was also nominated for Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist at the 2022 American Music Awards. She won the Best Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist award at the 2022 BET Awards.
"F.N.F. (Let's Go)" made the rounds on the year-end 100 best songs of 2022 lists, ranking No. 1 on NPR, No. 3 on Pitchfork and No. 35 on the Los Angeles Times. On Time's 10 Best Songs of 2022 list, it ranked No. 4.
She followed up "F.N.F. (Let's Go)" with another hit single, "Tomorrow 2," a remix featuring Cardi B. The song reached No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 3 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
GloRilla released her first EP, Anyways, Life's Great..., in November 2022.
As XXL Magazine said, "Sleeping on GloRilla is a bad idea." So is sleeping on buying tickets to see her live. Get tickets to see GloRilla when she comes to a city near you.
GloRilla Live in Concert
Gloria Hallelujah Woods, known professionally as GloRilla, was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on July 28, 1999. She and her nine siblings were homeschooled until she was in the fifth grade. She grew up in the Frayser neighborhood of Memphis, singing solos in the church choir. Inspired by Memphis predecessors like Three 6 Mafia and Yo Gotti, and her then-favorite rapper Chief Keef, Woods began rapping when she was about 16 years old.
She initially went by Big Glo until her cousin Rambo said she should go by GloRilla.
She met the producer Hitkidd at a local rap showcase -- an encounter that proved life-changing. In an interview with Fly Guy DC on YouTube, GloRilla says she was about to go to a lash appointment when Hitkidd sent her the backing track for "F.N.F." The song was finished in a two-hour recording session, and they shot the video the same day.
She signed with Yo Gotti's label CMG in July of 2022, becoming the second female rapper with CMG.
GloRilla is a devout hometown girl, returning to Memphis in 2022 to donate $25,000 to her high school.
When Atlanta radio host Audley "Fly Guy DC" Feemster Jr. asked Glorilla to describe herself in three words, she said, "Young, wealthy and ratchet."
