Mon Rovia Tickets

Mon RovÎa is a Liberian-born/Tennessee-based singer-songwriter who blends lyrical indie pop and folk with traditions of his native West Africa. Born Janjay, Mon RovÎa was adopted by Christian missionaries at seven years old during the Second Liberian Civil War. He was first exposed to pop music at age 13 when his foster brothers introduced him to Fleet Foxes, Radical Face and Vampire Weekend. After high school, Mon RovÎa moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee to attend university. He began posting videos on social media and developed a large following. Mon RovÎa released his debut album, Dark Continent, in 2021, exploring themes of trauma, mental health and healing. In August 2023, Mon RovÎa went viral on TikTok when Bella Hadid posted a video of herself on a mental health walk with his song “Watch the World Spin Without You” playing in the background. It garnered 1.9 million likes. In February 2024, Mon RovÎa headed out on a 31-city tour opening for Josiah and the Bonnevilles.
