  • Jackpot Nevada Molly Hatchet Concert

by dave on 10/18/21Cactus Petes Resort Casino Gala Showroom - JackpotRating: 5 out of 5

The Casino was busy, the crowd was ready to rock and Molly Hatchet brought it. Venue was good. There was one restaurant in the Casino open, although it looked like there use to be a steak house in the Casino. Bars were good and I got drinks quickly. Molly Hatchet put on a great show!!!

  • Great show! Every seat in the house is a good one.

  • Great show--glad to be attending live events again

As always these guys give 1000% to the audience. Doesn't matter if it's a stadium or a smaller venue like this you get the same power and enthusiasm from these guys! Don't tell me they aren't the original members, blah blah blah. Bobby Ingram and John Galvin have both been in the band longer than any of the original members were. I will be one of the first to admit I miss Phil on vocals but Jimmy Elkins did a great job as a replacement. As usual Shawn Beamer and Timmy Lindsey held the bottom end down great on drums and bass. If I had any complaints it would be about the volume. Sometimes the volume overwhelmed the music and vocals. BUT overall a GREAT show. (Just wish it was a little longer). Keep the Hatchet swinging guys!

  • Great concert!

  • Best venue: Penn's Peak

Looking forward to seeing Molly Hatchet since we got the tickets. We never saw them back in the day. They were excellent! The energy of the band certainly transferred to the audience. It was the most interaction between the band and the crowd that I've ever seen! I'll go see them again because I know it's going to be great! Great job, guys!! Thanks for coming to our neck of the woods!!

  • Mediocre

    by G. B. on 3/14/19Space Coast Daily Park - VieraRating: 3 out of 5

Band was good lead singer was off key, was late getting to the concert, so much so the band started without him; he showed up 2 songs in and an hour late.... good memories though from the 70’s just disappointing....

  • The seats were well worth the cost of the show.

The opening act The Electric Frog was great and worth seeing again. Molly Hatchett was great also but the sound man should have caught they were so loud everybody near the front that I spoke with said too loud the words were tough to hear and I know their songs but the bass was heart pounding because of the volume. Great show though and they played all their hits! Well worth the 2 hour drive to see. Just as solid as when I saw them with Blackfoot in the 70's in Jacksonville.

Molly Hatchet was better than expected for being around 40 years!!!

  • MollyHatchet was Awful

by HunterStar on 8/5/18Macon City Auditorium - MaconRating: 1 out of 5

Lead guitarist player was way to loud drowning out the vocals. Lead singer screaming trying to be heard over the loud lead guitariest player. They are fake,,, nothing like the late 70’s and early 80’s.

  • Great White and Molly Hatchet

    by GSUfan40 on 7/24/18Macon City Auditorium - MaconRating: 5 out of 5

I decided to go to this show at the last minute. I had never attended a concert at this particular venue before. It was a great setting for a concert. Good acoustics, great architecture, and excellent staff and volunteers. Great White was in fine form and really brought the energy. Molly Hatchet was solid and reliable with their performance. I was slightly disappointed that Brian Howe wasn't there, but they had Mickie James there and she looked great and sounded pretty good too. I can't say enough good things about the venue and the people there.

  • Bad Company a NO SHOW!

by PlantMamma on 7/24/18Macon City Auditorium - MaconRating: 1 out of 5

It is bad when the WWE woman is better than the bands you PAID to see. Bad Company was a no show. Great White at least tried and was OK. The road crew for Molly Hatchet was an absolute disaster, from not being able to get the equipment set up properly to two guys coming almost to blows with one walking out twice. When Molly Hatchet finally got on stage the music was so loud that you could not tell what songs he was attempting to sing. Finally left after three songs. This was the worst concert(I use this word lightly) I have attended in my life. To top it off the bartenders tried to rip us off. First drinks $8.00 second drinks(same drinks as the first) $15.00 finally settled for $10.00. The venue was trying to save money by not running the A/C and scrimping on paper towels in the bathrooms probably because there were only about 200-250 people there in the first place. Way less than that when Molly Hatchet started playing! HORRIBLE!!!!!!

  • Outlaws stole the show!!!

    by Goose731 on 11/2/17Toyota Oakdale Theatre - WallingfordRating: 4 out of 5

Event: Rocktoberfest feat. Molly Hatchet, Outlaws and Black Oak Arkansas. Black Oak Arkansas: Not very impressive at all; female band member seemed out of place with the show and distracting. Outlaws: Should have been the headliner! Show was tight and Henry Paul was GREAT! So too, Chris Anderson and Monte Yoho. Steve Grisham, Dave Robbins and Randy Threet were outstanding in their own right. The whole band put on a great performance from begining to end. Wish I could have heard them play longer!!! In fact, would have been happy seeing them as the only band playing the show. Molly Hatchet: A major disappointment. Sounded more like a cover band than the real thing! Phil McCormack did, however, give a stirring tribute to our current and past service members and for that gets my accolades here!

  • Should be called Molly "wanna be " Hatchet

by TheHump on 11/1/17Penn's Peak - Jim ThorpeRating: 5 out of 5

Now I have seen this band quite a few times in the past, but to pass yourself off as Molly Hatchet is a joke...#1) only one guitar player #2) singer was trying to be someone he's not #3) sound was way way to loud to the point it was distortion.... very unimpressed to say the least. Now the band that opened for them "Black Oak Arkansas" was way better, Jim Dandy sounded like he hasn't missed a beat, vocal was right on...wished they played longer than we wouldn't have had to leave early during Molly "wanna be" Hatchet. To those that think your gonna enjoy the tunes of your youth with M H, don't waste you money...

  • The Outlaws stole the show!!

    by Mickster1949 on 10/31/17Toyota Oakdale Theatre - WallingfordRating: 4 out of 5

In order of appearance...never heard of Black Oak Arkansas, but i have to say they were pretty darn good southern rockers! The Outlaws were spectacular...great songs, great jamming, lots of personality!! The crowd went crazy when they did their thing...would see them again in a heartbeat!!! After the Outlaws were done, many left...we did not realize it would be indicative of the final act, Molly Hatchet. They were stale, no great tunes and it seemed as if they pleaded with the crowd to cheer them. They may have been good once, but no more...
