  • Love and Respect Miyavi

by CVesh on 4/17/17The Cambridge Room at House Of Blues - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

The whole Asia on Tour concert was outstanding. Kiha & the Faces were very entertaining. Kiha is charismatic and so funny. They got the audience involved and made us fall in love with them. Slot Machine is straight up rock. The lead singer has a classic rock voice. They were great. Miyavi. My daughter has been waiting 15 years to see him. Once I heard his music I couldn’t get enough. He did not disappoint. He was all over the stage, high energy, guitar virtuoso. My only complaint, it was too short. They really need to book him into bigger venues for longer concerts. It felt like a teaser. He has so many great songs I wanted to hear live. I have so much respect for him. He talked about his wife and children, his music, and his hopes for our world. I hope this is only the first time I get to see him perform live.

  • Brilliant!

by 123popculture on 4/12/17The Belasco Theater - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

This is my third time seeing Miyavi, and as per usual he was amazing. His talent is on another level and he knows how to put on a show. Now he brought two artists I hadn't heard of, Slot Machine and Kiha & the faces. Slot Machine was fun and packed full of energy. The lead singer, Foet, has a voice that reminds me of 80's metal bands, but better. Seriously talented. The bassist, Gak, was all over the stage, and even off of the stage. You could tell they had fun with every smile, or strum on their guitars. Kiha & the Faces reminds me of a mellow rock group with hardcore reggae influence. While that really isn't my cup of tea, they were all funny and showed how much they enjoyed playing. It felt more like a band playing in their garage, simply because they loved to play. Kiha even threw water out onto the crowd, and some ended up on stage. He ended up slipping and falling, but even then, he kept singing. Truly a professional by any means. Great show.

  • Miyavi was amazing.

This is the second time I see Miyavi live. First time was 10 years ago. He keeps getting better and better. Definitely exceeded my expectations. He's amazing.

I'm JUST now coming down off it. We're sorry, but we have encountered the following issue(s): Your review text is too short. ...srsly. Just. Now. Miyavi's the reason I hate hippie crap.

  • Spectacular Performance

by Yuetichi on 1/30/12House Of Blues Sunset Strip - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

MIYAVI was amazing as usual. I went to his last show in Club Nokia and I have to say I liked this show much more than the last. He interacted with his fans more and it was like we were having a friendly conversation with him. The music was more upbeat and I enjoyed that. I also liked that he didn't dress himself up too much. He came on stage as himself, glasses on and hair tied back. It was very refreshing. ^^

  • Nothing Less Than "Totally Awesome"

by RoadMart on 10/27/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

My first concert for a Japanese artist. Miyavi's style of hitting his guitar strings along with playing them gives his music such a unique sound and style. It was amazing to see him play -- and to see just him and his drummer make such amazing music! Miyavi himself is a really cool guy; he connects with his fans and made us laugh and cheer. (I must admit it was cool that he can speak English, too.) An amazing performance that was nothing less that five stars!

  • Fantastic show!

by Cabbagemanxp on 10/27/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Just to put things in scale for you, I was harassed by a drunk guy outside the show and it was still more than worth it! If I am to be honest, I am not a huge fan of the Showbox. I prefer seated venues. But if it's Miyavi playing (especially with his drummer, Bobo), it is totally irrelevant. There is nothing bad to say about his performance.

by Sakura8 on 10/26/11Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first " MIYAVI" concert~ I saw him perform as part of S.K.I.N. a few years back, so to experience him as just MIYAVI was magical!! I have been a fan since Due le Quartz~ Miyavi really speaks to you with his unity with his guitars~ His fingers tickle the strings and he plays as if it's no effort~ He shows his love for his fans and sends such beautiful messages through his songs^^ He gives off the "Next Michael Jackson" vibe<3

  • Best concert of my life!

by darkmoonsaturn on 7/25/11Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

It's been a little over a year since I saw Miyavi live, and remembering it still makes me giddy. It was hands-down the most amazing concert of my life. Myv brings this incredible, infectious energy to the stage. I counted 7 microphones on the stage, and he used every single one of them while bouncing around, slapping his guitar, and just generally being awesome. I will never forget this night.

  • MYV 4 EVER!!!

by VisualKeiGirl on 12/2/10House of Blues - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I absolutely love Miyavi, his concert was totally amazing, going to the concert made the day so special since I went with my boyfriend and it was our anniversary. The song Kimi negai wo literally made me cry!!! It was how I first knew of him. He sounds amazing live and is super talented and his english is not bad at all. I'll never forget that amazing experience. I would so watch him again live!! Just wish he did autograph signings.

  • Miyavi was....breathtaking.

by Takachan on 9/3/10House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This show was one of the best that I have ever seen. Granted, I expected an excellent show because of the live videos I'd seen on the internet, but Miyavi exceeded my expectations and then some. He gave a show that would many artists to shame, and I could feel the emotions that he poured into each moment, each song, throughout the entire performance. This concert is one that I would go to again and again and again, as I know that I would be able to feel the exact same thing.

  • Miyavi is AMAZING!

by NesaVessa on 7/19/10Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

Miyavis show was the first rock show i have been to! I went thinking it would be good, being at the show, i realized that he is AMAZING. No doubt about the perfect performance!!! The whole show surpassed my expectations.

  • Miyavi was great; the fans, not so much

by jaynemadison on 7/12/10Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Miyavi delivered a stunning performance that was well worth the wait. If you ever have the chance to see him perform live, take it. It's amazing to see someone play the guitar like he does. I would go to another concert of his in a heartbeat. The downside: the other fans. You can't hear half of what Miyavi says because the fan girls are constantly screaming. This also takes away from enjoying the music that is being played. And for some reason the other girls in the crowd decided that because the crowd was mostly girls there was nothing wrong with completely crushing themselves into the other fans to try to get closer. Even at metal shows I have never been so smushed. It was ridiculous, and it seriously took away from the show.

  • Miyavi in US

by scojin on 7/11/10Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome. What a great performer! Miyavi put on a killer show! He played many, many favorite jams! Definitely unforgettable. The only downside is that he had to leave. I cannot wait for his return! ^_^

  • Time of my life

no words to describe how energetic and fun it was :)

  • Miyavi was incredible

by Kemi on 7/6/10House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was by far one of the best times of my life. Miyavi really is as beautiful in person as he is in pictures. And more importantly, his singing and guitar skills are amazing. He has wonderful energy and charisma. Miyavi seemed to really care about how we were feeling as an audience. He stopped multiple times to talk to us and even apologized for his english! Everything about this concert was AWESOME! We did have to chant quite a bit to get him to come out for an encore. That was only annoying because a good 50-75% of the audience didn't join the chant!! But he came back out eventually and everything was good!

  • myv rocks!!!

by RhysH on 7/6/10House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

amazing concert! (as expected from miyavi). his including of the guitar in his performance was a welcome change. not only does it demonstrate his talent as a musician, but his willingness to give his all to his fans. i definitely would come again.
