    Acoustics

by Patrick on 2/3/20Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

My wife and I had difficulty understanding most of the Actors. I had a friend see it the following night and the first thing he told me after seeing it was it was difficult to understand the actors. Love the play and love the theater but it would be a better experience with sound management.

    FYI - Not Family Friendly

    by N. on 2/3/20Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

The quality of the acting and singing was very good. Story was interesting and drew you in. I was not familiar with the plot at all so I enjoyed watching the story unfold on stage. The first scene was pretty pornographic with many performers acting out sexual acts. More followed in later scenes. There was a time when art and theatre allowed us to use our imagination and I think we were better off for it. Excessive profanity turned me off. I often bring my daughter to the theatre and was glad I didn't bring her to this one.

    Great play, but

    by K. S. on 2/2/20Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

Story is great. Scenes and props were great. Sound in the first act was impossible to understand. Everyone around us complained during intermission. After the play, others in different areas of theatre had the same problem. Act II was better but still it wasn’t possible to understand everything.

    Powerful story

Tennessee theater is an awesome venue. The Miss Siagon story is powerful in the unconditional love for a child and the hardships endured to survive..love to see Broadway locally!

    Awesome show, bad acoustics

by Mike L on 2/2/20Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

I have had the privilege of attending many shows/events at the Tennessee Theater, however, this show was extremely difficult to hear and understand the dialogue and individual singing. We sat in the same seats/area we always sit in. I know there can be varying factors in acoustics but it has never been this bad. From a performance perspective, the show was absolutely amazing!

    Beautiful, Heartwrenching Story

    by R. B. on 2/1/20Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

The Tennessee Theater was the perfect venue for Miss Saigon. The historic theater is incredible with the comfortable seats and historic touches. The play itself was amazing. The performers were some of the best I have seen in Knoxville. The quality of their voices and the dancing was fantastic.

    Not for children

by Nathan on 2/1/20Tennessee Theatre - Knoxville

The main story is fantastic but the scenes surrounding The Engineer were literally the filthiest scenes I’ve ever watched in the theater. It was embarrassing for my company. There should be thorough warnings for this show. In addition, several scenes featured conduct that was not fit for general audiences.

    1st play, amazing experience

    by Hoot9992 on 1/7/14Fisher Theatre - Detroit

This was my first play I went to. I wanted to surprise my mom by taking her to see this at the fisher theatre. I was so happy to see her cry from happiness when we pulled up. I never seen a broadway play and I never really wanted to but I was doing it for her, not me. I went to the play with an open mind. After seeing the play, I would love to go to another one!! My mom and I absolutely loved this play. The acting, singing, everything was perfect. The story of Miss Saigon was incredible. I'm not into shows or movies with a lot singing in them but watching this play was an experience I will never forget.

Miss Saigon at the Fisher Theatre was fantastic!

by ChuckWT on 10/21/13Fisher Theatre - Detroit

I had seen the New York performance back when Miss Saigon first appeared on Broadway and found it amazing! I knew that the Detroit, Fisher Theatre version was going to be scaled down from what I had seen in New York and figured I might not be quite as satisfied, but I was taking a friend of mine to see the production for her first time, and loved the story and music so much myself that I was willing to overlook the scaled down version for myself just so my friend could see the production. It was every bit as amazing and satisfying as when I saw it in New York in spite of the down scale of the production. All the principal singers and chorus vocals were amazing, the orchestra was great, the story and set changes flowed. The lighting worked. I thought I might be disappointed in the fall of Saigon / helicopter scene BUT WASN'T! Everything came together beautifully! I would recommend this touring production to anyone who might have the opportunity to see it.

    Miss Saigon-Fisher Theater, Detroit

by Dpesh on 10/9/13Fisher Theatre - Detroit

At a friends recommendation I saw Miss Saigon. I enjoyed the talent level of every cast member very much. The story may be hard to follow at first if you hadn't read the program but it was still great. You laugh and cry! The interesting part is compared to other shows, the stage effects and prop usage is minimal. But the show doesn't suffer because of it.
