The show was fairly enjoyable but the sound level was horrible. For such a small venue, it probably is not necessary to have the voices amplified at any point. I do not know why the performers have to scream instead of sing and then, on top of it, have the sound increased by amplification. The noise level made the production less than ideal.

Was very good - actors did a great job and had good voices. I didn't know the story going in which I'm not sure was a good or a bad idea.

    Excellent

Excellent show. Very strong vocal performances by all of the leads. Brought back a lot of memories and history of the Vietnam War. After seeing Miss Saigon, I can't wait to travel to Broadway in April 2014 to see the new Les Miserables. Miss Saigon is highly recommended!

Miss Saigon...good for a small venue.

by AnnMrm on 9/27/13Signature Theatre - Arlington

I had seen Miss Saigon on Broadway...twice...years ago! It was incredible! This production was good, considering the smaller cast and venue! A little disappointing was when the engineer's microphone broke during one of his numbers. :( Overall good show and ALL of the duets were fantastic!

    Incredible

The show was fabulous! It's been many years since I've seen Miss Siagon on stage. This production was fabulous. The time went by far to quickly. . . I did not want the performance to end

Backstage tour shows how it's done

by ajfsurvey on 9/25/13Signature Theatre - Arlington

This is a great idea for anyone who is interested in see how a theatrical show is produced. Two members of the cast show you a short video and then take you on stage and back stage to explain how they go about putting on the show. Sets, props, costumes, lighting, sound, all the elements of the production are explained, and they will entertain almost any question.

    Close to Broadway caliber.

by ILoveMusicalTheatre on 9/24/13Signature Theatre - Arlington

With the exception of the singing by Chris's wife, all singers were wonderful. Chris's wife needs to enunciate as we and the couple next to us could not understand many of the words of her song. Her singing was certainly loud enough, but the words were not understandable. My date and I both had tears on our cheeks during the first act and again during the second act. In my opioion, Miss Saigon is one of the 15 best musicals ever written, and I have seen over 600 plays and musicals.

    Amazing performances

by hyperzen on 9/24/13Signature Theatre - Arlington

The cast gave a Broadway caliber performance in a small and intimate venue. Personally, I was more moved by this performance than I was when I saw it on Broadway during it's debut.

    Absorbing show - well done.

by freedomman on 9/24/13Signature Theatre - Arlington

FIrst of all, a well-written show with memorable music which was almost as good as Les Miz. Male lead needed to work on his singing, but the rest of the cast was superb. The Engineer, Diana Huey and Chris Sizemore particularly were outstanding, and would do well on Broadway. The orchestra was amazing, also of a Broadway caliber. The musicians had obviously worked long and hard with the individual singers. A fine performance!

    miss saigon was great

by joysey on 9/22/13Signature Theatre - Arlington

I found the play to be better than I expected - it did seem on the evening I was there that the audience was awfully careful with their applause - it deserved more - some very good voices and a very touching reminder of some of the horrors of the war in viet nam

I've seen MISS SAIGON twice but in the Signature venue it has a remarkable, indeed unequalled impact on the audience.

    It's all about The Engineer

    by Megster2013 on 9/19/13Signature Theatre - Arlington

I've seen Miss Saigon multiple times over the years at multiple venues, and I was a little worried about how Signature Theatre would pull it off on such a small stage. I needn't have worried. They did an amazing job with the stage, and it was thrilling to be so close to the action, especially as we were in the front row. The cast was wonderful and had great chemistry. Kim had a sweet and pure voice, and her acting was heartbreaking. We were not quite as impressed with Chris' voice or acting - his emotional range was not as wide as Kim's. Ellen's voice was a bit shrill, but she did a good job with the new song composed for this run, "Maybe." We were most impressed with Thom Sensa as The Engineer. He did a great job getting you to like a repulsive character. He really seemed to be enjoying himself in this role. Give that man a Tony! The bottom line: definitely go see this show!

Good show given the complexity of staging. Horrible seats.

    Excellent production

by anamealreadytaken on 9/13/13Signature Theatre - Arlington

I had seen Miss Saigon on Broadway and in Charlotte NC. This production by far was the best, granted it's been a few years since the last time. Maybe I just don't remember how wonderful those productions were too. Anyway, the voices were clear, pitch was perfect, we had great seats … It did take us 3 hours to get to Arlington. That's the only downside, but nothing you can do anything about. Keep up the good work! I'm sure we'll be back many more times.

    Miss Saigon was very moving

    by Brunoboy921 on 9/10/13Signature Theatre - Arlington

The musical was very moving and truly tragic. The actress playing Kim was excellent as was the actor playing the Engineer. All the actors and actresses were polished in their performances. This musical brought back to this reviewer many bad memories of the Viet Nam war - a war that can never be forgotten for so many reasons

One of the best we have seen in years. The Signature Theater was a great venue and the production was outstanding. We would highly recommend this production and you cannot go wrong with the venue.
