Teenage actress Miranda Cosgrove launched her music career in 2007, when she scored a hit with the theme song to her own TV show. Born in Los Angeles on May 14, 1993, she began her acting career at a young age, appearing in several commercials as well as the pilot episode of Smallville. Her breakthrough role came in 2002, when she played the role of Summer Hathaway in the film School of Rock, a comedy hit starring Jack Black. In the wake of School of Rock's success, she was cast in a supporting role on the children's television sitcom Drake & Josh (as Drake and Josh's kid sister, Megan Parker), which was broadcast by Nickelodeon from 2004 to 2008.
As Drake & Josh drew to a close, Cosgrove landed the lead role in iCarly, another popular Nickelodeon sitcom. Cosgrove also performed the show's theme song, which was commercially released in 2007 and became a hit soon after, driven in large part by YouTube views and iTunes downloads. iCarly: Music from and Inspired by the Hit TV Show appeared one year later, featuring four performances by Cosgrove and additional music by the likes of Sean Kingston, Menudo, and the Naked Brothers Band. By the end of that year, Cosgrove had also released a holiday single, “Christmas Wrapping” (a cover version of the Waitresses track), and started to work on a full-length album. Her song "Raining Sunshine" landed on the soundtrack to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in 2009, and she released her debut album, Sparks Fly, one year later. ~ Jason Birchmeier & Andrew Leahey, Rovi
My 7 yr old & 5 yr old daughters absolutely loved it!
It was a very fun show that me and my daughter enjoyed very much. It was her 1st concert at age 7 and she enjoyed every minute of it. The Fraze is such a wonderful venue.
Miranda was great the Fraze Pavillion was awesome. We had a blast.
The girls enjoyed the show despite the rude adults!
Miranda Cosgrove and Greyson Chance are adorable. This was a great first concert for my 7 yr old daughter and her 12 yr cousin, Maddie. The girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I've been to better but I wasn't there for myself.
This was my 11 year old grandson's reaction to her concert. In addition to an outstanding concert, the weather was perfect. Thanks to Fraze for bringing her to us!
My 7 year old daughter's first concert and I cannot be happier!!
Miranda was great. Very appropriate for younger than teen fans. Great role model for my daughter.
Miranda's performance was nothing to remember. It was alright. Overall, greyson did better than miranda.
Bad seats, ok show. We really enjoyed the sound system and teh weather.
This concert was a first for my two nieces! They had so much fun! Both are great performers!
The venue was really great- I cannot say enough about Fraze Pavillion- what a great place for a concert- 1st time there. The concert was great the opener Grayson Chance was really great- never heard him before. My 7 year old LOVED MIranda!
It was a great show for my 7 and 10 year olds! Not too technical, not too racy, just an all around good experience!!
It was a wonderful show, My 8 yr old granddaughter loved it. Greyson stuck around long after the show ended and signed autographs, took pictures with the kids. Miranda put on a great show, dancing and very energetic.
My daughter fell in love with Greyson Chance as soon as he walked out on the stage. She sand along with all of Miranda's songs. Overall, a great experience for my daughter's first concert!
She came out with the theme song to iCarly first thing, setting the energy for the night. She was a ball of energy. I didn't know all the songs she sang but my 10 year old knew every word. She hasn't stopped talking about it!
Great show, great all around. Miranda was awesome, my daughter loved it for her birthday surprise.
I bought tickets at the last minute to take my 12 & 13 year old daughters. They had watched ICarly a lot when they were younger so I knew that they really liked her. We hadn't heard a lot of music by Greyson, but knew of him. We were so glad that we went. We all had a lot of fun and enjoyed both Miranda and Greyson very much!
My 9 year old daughter had a blast. It was her first concert ever and Miranda was great! Loved that she really seems to know that she has a younger audience and that it is alot of dance music. Fraze Pavilion was a wonderful location. Would come back and see her again.
I'm terribly sorry and terribly disappointed. I spent $100 on these tickets and Miranda Cosgrove, unfortunately, cannot sing. Luckily, the adults around me were the only ones who noticed. The kids get caught up in the excitement. We love iCarly (me included), and so there's higher expectation for her to be a great performer. Concert was very short...maybe because, uhm, she can't sing?
