The Milwaukee Ballet II performance was so far beyond my expectations, I would not know where to begin. It started with great traditional ballet but before long took so many twist and turns that even someone who didn't like ballet would be blown away. Incredible adventure, moves and characters all worked into incredible choreography.
Best Nutcracker I have seen in years. Such talented dancers, beautiful choreography and amazing music from the orchestra.
The ballet was fabulous, check in organized and professional and the music, lighting and costumes outstanding. Couldn't have been more wonderful!
From the moment i walked to my seat in the newly renovated theatre, i had fond memories of the seeing the Nutcracker with my children when they were in middle school. Now seeing it with my 2 grown children was even more enjoyable. The music is the same but the dancing was a new show. So glad that we decided to see the Nutcracker 3 days before Christmas, it just added more magic to this 2021 holiday season.
The surprise of having to show vaccinated card along with keeping mask on plus dancers having to wear masks! I feel we should’ve been notified of this needed information prior to going to ballet. Thank goodness we had our vac cards with us or we would’ve been turned away! Ballet was good - Ticketmaster let us down!
This was a fabulous ballet , dancers amazing, gorgeous costumes, beautiful sets. The venue sent out SEVERAL emails regarding getting there early and their COVID protocols. However, they failed to mention that the dancers would be wearing masks. I feel they should have shared this information. We go to the theater and ballet to forget about our reality and seeing the dancers wearing masks detracted from this experience.
Event was great, venue was was nicely organized and presented. Better info/direction for COVID requirements of the facility to be more prepared to attend.
Beautiful production! Great set colors. Costumes natural, not extravagant. Transformation of the room into the enchanted land magical in its disappearance and return.
Great seats, performance, stage, sound all superbly done
This was a Christmas gift to my adult kids. This was a first time for 2 of them seeing it. It was fun watching them enjoy the performance.
We have attended the Nutcracker for at least a decade. We started at the Joffery but changed to Milwaukee when the Joffery changed from the story's setting to the 1893 Chicago's World Fair giving up the beauty and storyline of the ballet. We have never regretted our decision. The Milwaukee ballet company is superb in its presentation of the Nutcracker.
We were so happy to see The Nutcracker in person this holiday. It has been a family tradition for almost 45 years. It was beautiful. Merry Christmas!
The only thing was the lobby. In the past there were more photo op stations for people to snap selfies. And this year, also, there were no souvenirs for the girls to bring home. But the performances were perfection!
Wonderful to be back at live theater! The new seats were fabulous! The performers were the best we have ever seen, the costumes were magnificent and of course, the orchestra was amazing.
The whole experience was fantastic. Everything was smooth and well put together. It was my first time. Most importantly it was my neices first time and her christmas present. She love it. The show was perfect.
The production was absolutely beautiful. It amazes me how the ballet dancers make every movement looks so effortless. Loved all the costumes.
My wife and I went to the Nutcracker as our firsr ballet. It was great! The only thing we wished was there was the pit orchestra. Live music would have made this a 5 star review easily!
The set design was terrific. The dancers incredible and fantastic holiday energy.
Brought our 11 year old granddaughter to the show. She was mesmerized. Thank you for helping us create a memory!
From the music to the performers to the costumes, I couldn’t wait for the next scene. Each one was magical. Beautiful performance!
