Beautifully done. Better storyline than the original. Very talented cast. Better than some Broadway shows I’ve seen. GoSee it before it closes! You won’t be disappointed.
fun evening with fun songs and great performers. Nothing more to add. Sorry you ask for so much information!
After seeing the first Million Dollar Quartet, this Christmas version did not disappoint; however, my only criticism would be that the "first"Johnny Cash actor was much better than the one in Christmas. The bass voice that was so impressive in the first one just wasn't there this time. But overall, we really enjoyed the performance...We LOVED all the other actors' depiction of their characters!
Interesting story line as last year …very difficult to focus on holiday music with that bunch …Johnny Cash character had a great voice but depicting Cash style was very weak …Set was great !!!
The show is fabulous and all the actors are so talented. I particularly enjoyed Kurt Jenkins as Carl Perkins and his guitar playing skills. The whole show puts you in the Christmas spirit! Highly recommend! This is my first time at Turner Theater and it was really nice. The sound is very good and I could hear every word the actors were saying, which is not the case in some places. The theater is inside The Factory which has shops and restaurants: a destination in itself.
The musical was exceptionally performed by the cast
I didn’t know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. The performance of every episode one in the show was incredible. I loved it and would see a second time. My husband really enjoyed the show also.
The performance, music and cast were great. The VOLUME just below the threshold of pain. It could have been at half the volume and that would have made it a superb performance. It is unfortunate the the sound person had no sense of a proper sound level for the venue. Balboa Theater is a great venue with excellent seating and acoustics. if you weren't hard of hearing, going in, you were coming out. That said, the performers were great! I could hear those great singers, now preserved on records and discs. It brought back good memories of days past. The selection of songs and story line were wonderful.
Nostalgia at its best, the storyline was exceptional, the music and actors were great. Each of the actors played their roles on mark. Always enjoy going to Christmas themed plays and this was A wonderful evening.
Venue was wonderful. Had dinner before the show. Lots of choices close by. Walked from dinner to the show and felt safe the whole time. Only disappointing thing was there was no playbill for the show.
We thought there would be a better story. The woman in the show was not necessary and she tried to be in the spotlight way too much. The final few minutes of great music was the best part of the show
This is a fun show that adapts the legendary Million Dollar Quartet jam session into a Christmas show.
Amazing musicians, singing and acting! Loved every minute of this show❣️
I love music and it got in my body and I moved from the moment the program started and the memories still make me dance no matter wherever I am! The songs, characters, and stories of the program held a lot of memories for me. I LOVED every moment!
The sound was painfully loud. I had to pull my hearing aids out during the musical selections.
Million Dollar Quartet Christmas was one of the finest musical events we have ever be honored to view and listen to. The 95 minutes of nonstop musical history was astounding and far exceeded any of our expectations. Perfect voices and live music made us feel like we were in the Sun Studio back in 1956 and felling the vibrant spirit of some legends to be. The coreography and stage props were first rate. My wife, a good friend and I had nice seats in orchestra but the production was spot on even in the back since I stood there for a couple of minutes returning from a mens room visit. I would pay double to revisit this performance in a heart beat. Thank you all and expecially Sam Phillips for allowing the future of rock music to happen in this little Memphis studio.
The music and performance were great. Unfortunately, the sound system at the Balboa Theater isn't great and much of the dialogue was muffled and unintelligible.
As like the original, this is a good show, with an outstanding encore, but with a holiday theme.
