    Good show

by LaurenD on 12/26/23The Wilbur - Boston

I had seen Mike last year in Old Man in the Pool. I like that format better. I love his story telling. Christmas Parmesan felt more like a straight up stand up comedy show. I did not have tears streaming down my face like at Pool. The ending of Pool was remarkable.

    Fantastic performance.

by Charlie Ringo on 12/24/23The Wilbur - Boston

Mike was absolutely fantastic. The seats at the Wilbur were among the priciest and we needed to strain to see. Our view was of the people sitting directly in front of us.

    Crazy seating.

by Babs on 12/23/23The Wilbur - Boston

We paid top $ for seats. We were sitting next to (almost under) the stage, at a table, with our backs to center stage. The act was behind us!! Someone needs to rethink this setup.

    Love this guy!!!

by Jona on 12/23/23The Wilbur - Boston

Mike Birbiglia is the world's best story teller/comedian. His honesty and vulnerability brings me to tears everytime I see him. When he's in town - I'm there!!!

Unbelievably enjoyable, from start to finish

by Alia on 12/23/23The Wilbur - Boston

Mike has many wonderful shows, but this was my absolute favorite. Hands down. I laughed the entire time — and at once point, I was laughing so hard that I had tears streaming down my face. Do not miss this show!!

    Mike always delivers!

by Sue on 12/23/23The Wilbur - Boston

This is the third time I’ve seen Birbiglia live and I always have a great time. I don’t usually laugh out loud but his comedy always makes me laugh. A very fun evening!

    Mike is Great!

by SallyJo on 12/23/23The Wilbur - Boston

Mike Birbiglia is even better in person that he is on his TV specials! His storytelling is both funny and heartwarming. This is a show I would recommend to anyone. The Wilbur in Boston, however, is very tired. It's easy to forget about the atmosphere once the show gets started, but don't look around too closely while the lights are still on.

Very smart and observant guy. This night in particular Mike lacked a little energy. He was great, but seem a little tired

Always gonna be good…could’ve been better

    by Bitzi1 on 12/21/23The Wilbur - Boston

Sooooo it was a little disappointing but, since Birbigs is so funny, it was always gonna be good. The two openers were REALLY funny (Gary Simons and Alex Edelman) and an excellent addition. Birbiglia’s set was rather short in comparison and given that he’s the headliner. He repeated quite a few jokes (some REALLY old jokes, including the full and long version of his sleepwalk/jumping out of the window story). With the amount of repeats, even though they’re really funny, the actual new stuff was maybe 40 mins. Don’t get me wrong, this was STILL funny and a good time.

Is Mike down playing to the masses?

by Dan on 12/19/23The Wilbur - Boston

I love Mike Birbiglia. He is an amazing storyteller. That's why i go to him. However, I get the feeling like he's doing more one liners rather than telling his complex stories. I wasn't wowed by him as I usually am. Slightly disappointed and wanted his in depth and thoughtful and complex layering of comedy as his past 3+ Netflix specials have demonstrated. Will always love him but hope he's not playing to the masses with quick one-liner type of humor.

    Hysterical show!

by VickiQ on 10/24/22Center Stage Theater - Atlanta

This show was awesome. Started very promptly. Opening act was very funny. Mike came on a performed for well over an hour and a half. His show was hysterical, very put together and smart. I haven't laughed that hard and that consistently in quite awhile and we see a lot of comedians.

    Mike B. Never Disappoints

by Echo on 10/22/22Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

Mike Birbiglia is a master storyteller and a wonderful comedian. His insightful humor and gentle delivery warm my heart. I never stopped laughing during the show and I smiled for days afterward as I remembered a joke or a witty phrase from his performance. I’m eagerly anticipating more from Mike and will go see him every time he is in my area.

We Laughed, We Cried, We Loved

by Pita J on 10/17/22Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

The Taft was a great venue. Easy in, easy out, and friendly employees. The show, as is always the case with Mr. Birbiglia, was the perfect blend of humor and heart. Personal and connective, self-deprecating without pitying, every sentence loaded with laughs. Since first catching him on Premium Blend, Mr. Birbiglia has been in my top 5 list of entertainers.

the kind of funny everyone relates to

by CPOP on 10/16/22Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

We really had a great time--the venue was awesome and Mike Birbiglia delivers some great, down-to-earth funnies that we all can relate to. Well, maybe not the sleeping bag and mits, but most of the other stuff we can relate to! :) I really appreciate his clean humor too--some comedians cannot get through a joke without multiple profanities or constantly talking about sex. But Mike can deliver a 5-star show without the junk. Can't wait for him to come back through Cincinnati!

    Great Wholesome Comedy

by Eric on 10/16/22Taft Theatre - Cincinnati

This was an awesome show. It was hilarious, but wholesome at the same time. You don't have to swear to put on a funny show. The Taft Theatre was intimate and inviting. I definitely want to go to another show here.

I’ve listened to Birbiglia for years, and enjoyed his acting roles. First live show for us— thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing! He’s a master at telling great life-experience stories and making them sound spontaneous.

    9/10

by saadftb on 10/6/22The Fillmore Detroit - Detroit

We were treated to a vintage Mike Birbiglia performance of "The Old Man And The Pool" at The Fillmore in Detroit MI. The show had all the elements of an act that we've come to expect of him with Mike expertly weaving a number of seemingly unrelated stories together, leaving the audience in stitches one minute and inducing pin drop silence from the theater the next with another anecdote. Less a traditional stand-up and more a one man show similar to the likes of Chappelle/Hasan Minhaj, it was well worth the price of admission. Highly recommended.
