This year's event had so many great clinicians, vendors and activities. I can't wait until next year when the new barns will be available, making it even easier to view the amazing animals that come year after year.
Lots of exhibits & clincs. Even more shopping with a huge variety of vendors. Went all 3 days & was able to do and see different activities & exhibits.
The bronco riding and roping was very good. The clowns were very talented.
Very disappointed!!! Too few contestants....boyfirends first rodeo experience and going to horsefair...he was not impressed......hope saturdays performance was better.
Love horses, Love this event! It is a must for anyone wanting to learn about anything horses! Training, tack, grooming, breeds etc...
This rodeo was much more than just the usual rodeo. Between each event like the Bareback Bronc rides and the next rodeo event, there was a demonstration or presentation done by one of the talented horse clinicians there for the weekend. One of them was Dan James who demonstrated his talents as well as several others. We really enjoyed the whole show and would recommend it to any horses lover!
We had such a great time! The only disappointment for both my friend and I was that there wasn't more English/Dressage type items for sale.

The rodeo this year was about 30 minutes shorter than last year, and it wasn't as exciting. I felt like 60-70% of the rodeo was either calf roping or steer wresting, with bronc riding, bull riding, and barrel racing being just lightly scattered in.
There is a lot going on at the Midwest Horse Fair. From what people had said though, I guess I expected more? It seemed like half the clinics were very basic. I would have expected more big names. I wanted to be more impressed than I was. But I guess for $15 it's not bad at all, to see more than one big name person give a clinic (that is if you get there early enough to find a seat or standing room where you can see!!) It was super busy on Saturday. It's pretty disappointing when you get to a demonstration on time, but you can't see the person because there's no more room. Friday was much slower though, only about half the people, and just as good clinics so I enjoyed Sunday more. Best part of the whole thing: DAN JAMES!!!!! He is AMAZING!!!! Hands down best person there. I wish he'd led every single clinic. That man knows his stuff, and it SHOWS. Not only that, he's entertaining and approachable. Does NOT have his nose stuck in the air and is NOT intimidating like others who aren't even as good as he is. Effective and wholesome training that shines. and a presentation that is fun to watch.
Clinics were good. Shopping was also good. Rodeo seemed short but what you had was awesome. Loved the clown. What you need is more big names for clinics.
Very well organized event!! We go every year and it never gets old!!
I would recommend the Midwest Horse Fair to anyone who loves horses. I have attended the last 3 years and it is AWESOME! Plenty of shopping, learning, and entertainment. I will attend for years to come! Also a great place to reunite with many horse friends.

Very Fun and better weather this year!!! Spent a lot of money and it was worth every cent The horses were beyond description. This would be fun for riders as well as people that just love to see the beauty of the horse!
A very good mix of events. It kept it very interesting.
My first time there and loved they way parking was handled, as we had handicap and there was an entire lot allowed for Handicap parking. I wish this was done at other vents that are hosted everywhere. Wish there had been a little more food variety for breakfast (we got there real early and was hungry)!! Had fun visiting the horses that had come even with the EHV1 outbreak. Also, loved the stallions. only 2 that I wanted to see weren't there, but I understand why they kept them home. Maybe next year Also enjoyed the Barrel Demo we went to, learned a few pointers thanks to Sharon Camarillo
I have never been to a live rodeo before and it was definitely an unforgettable experience. Much more then I expected with different acts to keep you interested in between the rodeo
This was a fantastic rodeo, with all of the standard events plus some wonderful entertainers between events. The thing that made this rodeo stand out was the clown, who was extremely funny while remaining appropriate for all ages. The producers did a superb job keeping things moving without seeming rushed. Sadly, the producer had hired a local band, "Madison Rising," to perform the national anthem. They were truly awful. They were so bad that if they hadn't been playing the national anthem, I would have booed and walked out.
I had a great time again at this rodeo. Loved the announcer and the prayer to keep everyone safe. The clown was really entertaining too! Would recommend. Everyone did very well in all the events! God Bless all the Cowboys and cowgirls! :) Thanks for all you do.
