Midland in Concert
Like Midland's sound itself, the band's image brings together elements from different eras of country: a little bit Conway Twitty, a little bit Eagles, a little bit George Strait. But don't let the fashion fool you. When Midland gets onstage, image doesn't matter a bit — the only important thing is the way they dig into their songs with spotless vocal harmonies, perfectly twanging guitar licks and hooks to spare. That's what won them fame and fans, and it's what powers their live shows. So whether Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy and Jess Carson are churning out electrifying versions of their hits like "Drinkin' Problem" and "Burn Out," or dipping into their bag of cover tunes, they always give a hundred and one percent at every single concert.
Midland Background
When Midland emerged in 2017, it seemed like the last thing mainstream Nashville was looking for was three guys sporting 'staches and embroidered Western wear while playing tunes that combined country-rock harmonies with an old-school outlaw sensibility. But that's exactly what the trio had to offer. And somehow, they managed to connect with country audiences in a big way (either despite or because of their trend bucking, depending on how you look at it). Their debut single, "Drinkin' Problem," went platinum and hit No. 4 on the country charts, while their first album, On the Rocks, made it all the way to No. 2. The album generated another big country hit with the track "Burn Out," proving to everyone in Nashville that the next big thing didn't have to be just like the last big thing.

Where they lip syncing? They where like the milli vanilli of country music. I've seen dozens and dozens of big and little concerts and they where 2nd worst band EVER I have seen. Only second to Sugarland. Yes I said it.
The opening (CAM) and Chris Isaac (2nd) could have been reversed with Midland. People began leaving 3 songs in when Midland came on, which made traffic great to get out, but a bit of a letdown when two opening acts were so great!!!!!
The venue and venue staff were excellent. The music excellent, but we could not handle the spotlights and strobe lights aimed at the audience when Midland played. Stayed for 6 songs then had to leave before the migraines began.
I'm a big fan of Midland. I love the venue there at the Pacific Amphitheater. An added bonus is all concert tickets allow you into the OC Fairgrounds which was happening the same day as the show. For some reason the music did not seem to be as loud as past shows at this amphitheater. I'm all for bands playing cover songs but not four or five of them. I came to hear Midland not Chris Issacs "Wicked Game"(which they played). I witnessed the crowd turn their backs from the stage and enter into conversations while these songs were being played. They played for two hours which is awesome. Would I see them again? Probably. Hopefully they well have a different set list.
Purchased my tickets last minute. Everything was great. I was able to down load them into my Apple wallet. No issues at the Fair.
A great time, enthusiastic fans and they worked the crowd. they've come a long ways from the 1st time we seen them a few years ago at the Honda center!
The sound wasn't clear. Band talk too much. Only songs good were cheating songs and 14 gears. Newer album sucks. Not country anymore. Just like the rest. Sad for country music. Long live George.
Midland is absolutely worth every penny. They are phenomenal live, this is my second time seeing them!
This is my second midland concert I’ve been to and they don’t disappoint. They’re very friendly and love to involve the crowd. They played all their greatest hits and made it worth our while.
Great concert. Easy access and good acoustics. We had a great time.
Great band, excellent seats. Sound quality near section 1 speakers needed improvement, speaker sounded a little blown.
Awesome! Couldn’t have asked for better seats. The evening was perfect.
Great Show Great People….Great ticket prices. Midland is one of the best country bands out. The only issue with me was that I couldn’t find any Whisky for sale….other than that..Fantastic Show!
After enjoying a great day at the fair, I was looking forward to enjoying my Ticketmaster paid for seat, sitting down, relaxing and enjoying the band. It was ruined as everyone stood up, and I couldn’t see anything. Not sure why these event centers allow people to stand up as it ruins the seats that patrons pay for. Having a standing up section would be swell. Was a terrible experience.
Excited but not all in yet. Really only had one hit song and a lot of fill in gaps w other artists musics? Could be a great tribute band? Had that feel of a lounge act. Hopefully they can come up with other original music and more hit songs?
Great group! Very enthusiastic and entertaining! Can't wait to see them again!
Loved the performance they put on it was amazing from beginning to start cant wait to go see them again!
Overall, the concert was decent. The opener was great. Midland's songs are on the slower side so the crowd doesn't get too hyped up - lower energy. Would recommend if you like their music.
Honestly Midland was AMAZING! They really put on such a great show and showed so much appreciation to the fans. Hands down one of my favorite concerts
