About

Midland in Concert

Like Midland's sound itself, the band's image brings together elements from different eras of country: a little bit Conway Twitty, a little bit Eagles, a little bit George Strait. But don't let the fashion fool you. When Midland gets onstage, image doesn't matter a bit — the only important thing is the way they dig into their songs with spotless vocal harmonies, perfectly twanging guitar licks and hooks to spare. That's what won them fame and fans, and it's what powers their live shows. So whether Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy and Jess Carson are churning out electrifying versions of their hits like "Drinkin' Problem" and "Burn Out," or dipping into their bag of cover tunes, they always give a hundred and one percent at every single concert.

Midland Background

When Midland emerged in 2017, it seemed like the last thing mainstream Nashville was looking for was three guys sporting 'staches and embroidered Western wear while playing tunes that combined country-rock harmonies with an old-school outlaw sensibility. But that's exactly what the trio had to offer. And somehow, they managed to connect with country audiences in a big way (either despite or because of their trend bucking, depending on how you look at it). Their debut single, "Drinkin' Problem," went platinum and hit No. 4 on the country charts, while their first album, On the Rocks, made it all the way to No. 2. The album generated another big country hit with the track "Burn Out," proving to everyone in Nashville that the next big thing didn't have to be just like the last big thing.

    Chris Isaak Rocks It

    by Danimal on 8/8/23

Chris Isaac was amazing. Great voice & performer. Bassist was top notch. Lead guitarist delivered exceptional performance. Show was packed at Ironstone Winery. I would highly recommend to see Chris Isaac. He goes into crowd and entertains audience. Best of all is his bright flashy Elvisesque suits.

Good show but very bad seating

    by Christ on 8/8/23

Excellent show by Chris Issacs but the VIP seating at Iron Stone are very cramped. I will not attend this location again. The included buffy was also poor for the ticket price of $250. Not again.

    Not as expected

    by Susie on 8/8/23

The venue was great, hence the 3 stars otherwise it would be a 2. I was less than impressed with Midland’s performance and from the looks others I’m sure felt the same. Lots of people started leaving in the middle of the show and we joined as well. I did not feel it was worth staying. It was disappointing given we drove hours to watch them perform.

    Darn

    by Dar on 8/8/23

I was disappointed if they had sprinkled their performance with some of their hits through out the performance that would have been fun but they didn’t till very end

Venue was Great, Midland the Jury is out

    by Bic on 8/8/23

Venue is great, we sat in Section B in venue seating. i think its better to bring your own chair and sit on the lawn. Opening band was good, Chris Isaac was good. Midland music ok but the sound was bad and they perform like theatrical team not very well. great night out of the house and will continue to go to Ironstone Venue.

    Mediocre

    by Country fan on 8/8/23

A headline band must have their own material. Not redoing the music of others. This band, I will never again pay to see them. Chris Isaac however was amazing.

    Phenomenal Show!

by Reformed Former Rocker on 8/8/23

Midland was, simply put, phenomenal! Midland played its great original songs and a collection of cover tunes that showed the band's appreciation for great music and artists across multiple genres. Lead vocalist Mark Wystrach was in fine form and makes a great front man. The playing and vocals fron Jess and Cameron were amazing! This is a band on the way up. Catch them on this tour and prepare to be blown away,

They suck. Was a fan, no longer

    by Youknowthatonegurl on 8/8/23

Where they lip syncing? They where like the milli vanilli of country music. I've seen dozens and dozens of big and little concerts and they where 2nd worst band EVER I have seen. Only second to Sugarland. Yes I said it.

    Midland, Chris Isaac, CAM concert

    by Kayster on 8/8/23

The opening (CAM) and Chris Isaac (2nd) could have been reversed with Midland. People began leaving 3 songs in when Midland came on, which made traffic great to get out, but a bit of a letdown when two opening acts were so great!!!!!

    Excellent music & Venue, but…

    by Jed on 8/8/23

The venue and venue staff were excellent. The music excellent, but we could not handle the spotlights and strobe lights aimed at the audience when Midland played. Stayed for 6 songs then had to leave before the migraines began.
