About

Midland in Concert

Like Midland's sound itself, the band's image brings together elements from different eras of country: a little bit Conway Twitty, a little bit Eagles, a little bit George Strait. But don't let the fashion fool you. When Midland gets onstage, image doesn't matter a bit — the only important thing is the way they dig into their songs with spotless vocal harmonies, perfectly twanging guitar licks and hooks to spare. That's what won them fame and fans, and it's what powers their live shows. So whether Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy and Jess Carson are churning out electrifying versions of their hits like "Drinkin' Problem" and "Burn Out," or dipping into their bag of cover tunes, they always give a hundred and one percent at every single concert.

Midland Background

When Midland emerged in 2017, it seemed like the last thing mainstream Nashville was looking for was three guys sporting 'staches and embroidered Western wear while playing tunes that combined country-rock harmonies with an old-school outlaw sensibility. But that's exactly what the trio had to offer. And somehow, they managed to connect with country audiences in a big way (either despite or because of their trend bucking, depending on how you look at it). Their debut single, "Drinkin' Problem," went platinum and hit No. 4 on the country charts, while their first album, On the Rocks, made it all the way to No. 2. The album generated another big country hit with the track "Burn Out," proving to everyone in Nashville that the next big thing didn't have to be just like the last big thing.

  • Had a great first time experience!

I didn't know much about MIDLAND except that they are a country band. I thought their harmonizing was spot on. They didn't waste time talking about "stuff"that most concert goers really aren't interested in. We are there for the music! I have already recommended them to friends. My only negative is that I felt the stage was too dark for a good view of them.

  • Mediocre

by SB on 11/10/25IP Casino Resort and Spa - BiloxiRating: 3 out of 5

My complaint is with the lighting. There were bright lights underneath the drummer shining directly into the crowd which were blinding. Then there were times that there were strobe lights that were blinding also. There were no spotlights on the singers at all so you couldn’t even see them. Not even on the screens. We did not really enjoy this show because of this issue.

Midland was awesome as usual. Saw them 7 times. This was my least favorite venue.

What a wonderful and intimate concert. It was a small venue but that made it great!

  • What a treat

by CP on 9/29/25Hobbs Grove - SangerRating: 5 out of 5

Midland never disappoints! I'm not sure why they aren't played on the radio more. Such a refreshing vibe and sound !!!!! I would not pay extra for Hobb's Grove VIP. 1. The section was on the side of the stage and went back narrow. They should have made it a lot wider. 2. For twice the cost of regular tickets They could have gotten a nice port a potty. Other than that it was fun to see Midland at a small venue in the country.

  • Great time, Show was fast

by Michelle on 9/29/25Hobbs Grove - SangerRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was great however went by really quick since there was no openers. The 21+ drinks line was overcrowded and slow. Overall though Midland was great!!!

  • Midland in Sanger, CA

    by Stephanie A. on 9/29/25Hobbs Grove - SangerRating: 4 out of 5

Getting into the venue was a little challenging and paying for parking is always a bummer. The show itself was great, both the opener Pug Johnson and headliner Midland sounded great! The size of the venue made it easy to see the show. I (30F) went with a friend (30F) and my parents (57F/58M) and my parents sat in the chairs we brought in towards the back but people were standing all around making it difficult to see. The bar was backed up and the staff was not very friendly. We enjoyed the food trucks and the restaurant situation was less than ideal but over all a nice evening close to home! This event was advertised to me on Spotify but other than that I saw no promotion of the event.

A very talented, entertaining group of musicians. Very engaging with the crowd, super humble and friendly group of guys. Lots of fun covers throughout the show. Would definitely see them again

  • Rules not followed

by Disappointed on 9/29/25Hobbs Grove - SangerRating: 1 out of 5

I received an email (the day before the event) stating the rules for chair height. Sand chairs only. Couldn’t be over 32 inches high. I didn’t have sand chairs so I rushed all over town looking. Summer is over so nobody had any. Finally found two. Off to Hobb’s Grove for the concert. What a joke. Their website said the chair rule would be strictly enforced. What another joke. We put our chairs in a spot we liked and walked away to look around. Upon returning our chairs had be moved only to put giant camping chairs right in front of our tiny chairs. This was the case everywhere. Giant chairs everywhere. People with compliant chairs were complaining all over the place. Now you can’t even see the stage. No screen to view the band either. Complained to event staff and all I got was “SORRY “. I’m sorry too. My first time at Hobb’s Grove and my last. Entry was slow and tedious. My advice Don’t Go!
