I was expecting more props, dancing and entertainment for a pre-St. Patrick's Day show. What I got was the entire show centered around Michael Londra and his singing. It seems he was dragging the show out with dialog to make it seem longer, when it seemed there was not enough material to produce a 90 minute show.
The stage was very boring, all black, 5 members in the band which were all very talented. THere were 6 very young dancers which were also very good, but did not see too much of them, maybe 3-4 full length songs, otherwise, just popped in every now and then. No props, but there was a screen set up behind the stage which projected nothing but geometric shapes, boring!
You would think if he talked about where Michael was from, for 15 minutes, he would include a few pictures of the land and town he was from. Nothing. I think there was a better use for the screen.
As for songs, I am Irish, and only knew one songs (Danny Boy) and one dance (traditional dance song), the rest were songs that Michael had written and none were recoganizable as "irish" songs other than an irish person sang them.
Sorry, not very entertaining, expect more. The show "An Irish CHristmas" had more irish songs than this one did!
