Miami HEAT History

Founded in 1988 as an expansion franchise, the Miami HEAT are one of the NBA's premier organizations, laying claim to 16 Southeast Division titles, seven Eastern Conference titles, and three NBA Championships. After hiring renowned NBA coach Pat Riley in 1995, the team won its first Championship in 2006, led by Hall of Famers Shaquille O'Neal, Dwyane Wade, Alonzo Mourning, and Gary Payton. Miami then captured back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013 with their “Big Three” consisting of Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh.

In the summer of 2019, much of the team's current core began to take shape, as the HEAT drafted guard Tyler Herro, then acquired All-Star guard Jimmy Butler to round out a roster that already featured promising big Bam Adebayo. In their current form, the team has reached the Finals twice (in 2020 and 2023).

    Not visible from section 312

For a price of 120 plus tax, the seats we got is very far from the playing court. I wish we could try moving closer but the budget is not enough for me, my wife, and our 2 young daughters.

I love the HEAT...they are still my boys and all, however, this had to be one of the WORSE games ever! Turn up the fire, let them FEEL THE HEAT!!!! (I gave 5 stars because, win or lose, I LOVE watching the HEAT live; always makes for a great outing.)

Celtics at Miami Heat in American Airlines Arena

by CeltsFanJupiterFL on 11/30/09American Airlines Arena - Miami

Very good staduim for Basketball. Very enjoyable overall. Had a wonderful time with my son. We enjoyed the game very much. The entire experience was wonderful. I will go again. Some suggestions for the Arena. Reduce the price of hot dogs and food in general. $6.00 hot dogs is a bit outrageous. The food consessions is making so taking advantage of the crowd in Miaimi. Soon it will be $10.00 hot dogs. When will it end?????? More importantly. The parking. I think the stadium should buy out the local parking lots and clean them up. They are located in a trash ridden and just scary neighborhood. The police presence after the game was good but not enough.

    Boston @ Miami

by Marceia on 11/30/09American Airlines Arena - Miami

The seats were incredible. We had really good seats and I was really pleased with them. For the price of the tickets, we got to see an incredible game up close and personal. I would recommend anyone attend a Miami game if they can.

    Nice night out.

by Javdj2fan on 11/29/09American Airlines Arena - Miami

This was a nice night out. The thing about being in Miami is that after the game you can always head to South Beach to enjoy the night life. I was a little disappointed with the seats but but all in all it was a fun evening.

Great atmosphere, great crowd, shame about the result; also game itself was very average, the wizards were better at everything, the heat players seemed to have had a little bit too much at thanksgiving the day before.

    The Heat were sooooo bad

by carsten316 on 11/20/09American Airlines Arena - Miami

There was just no fun in this game. They gave the top floor seated people courtside seats so the TV programm would look better. And the Heat played just as bad. It's not that they lost, it's how they lost. For me this was my first ever live NBA game - a recommandation this was certainly not. I left in the 3rd Quarter!!!

THRILLING WOW 3 POINT GAME WINNER

by RFR10 on 11/16/09American Airlines Arena - Miami

IT WAS A CLOSE MOSTLY DEFENSIVE GAME. IT KEPT US FOCUSED AND AT THE EDGE OF OUR SEATS. WE LED THE WHOLE GAME AND WITH 24 SECONDS TO GO THE NETS TOOK THE LEAD AND WE HAD 4.1 SECONDS. DWAYNE WADE MADE THE 3 POINT SHOT FOR THE WIN. THE WHOLE PLACE BURST WITH ENTHUSIASM

I would recommed it but it sucked

by MandyyBabyy on 11/16/09American Airlines Arena - Miami

When we got there our seats were all the way to the top. It was an "ok" view. Then the people who sat next to us were annoying! As if things couldnt get any worse, the Heat was not really "trying". We left the game about 10 minutes earlier. It was a waste of money. I've been to better games & the experience this time was just horrible.
