About

METALACHI IN CONCERT:

As “the world’s first and only heavy metal mariachi band”, Metalachi offers ticket buyers a wild, over-the-top live show unlike any other. Taking the stage with the long hair, adrenaline-filled energy, and outrageous theatricality of a typical metal band, Metalachi puts a unique spin on the experience by adding the passionate emotion, danceable rhythms, and virtuosic musicianship of mariachi. Their commitment to showmanship includes outlandish costumes, audience participation, and plenty of humor between songs, and the result is an unforgettable night of heightened senses and lowered inhibitions. By using traditional mariachi instruments to cover hard-rocking classics like Judas Priest’s “Breaking the Law” and Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It”, Metalachi serve up a sound that is at once familiar and exotic. All this and more make Metalachi’s off-the-wall live shows a totally unique experience that fans of any genre will remember long after the encore is over.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Metalachi formed in Mexico in the early ‘10s and originally performed straight-up mariachi music before their love of Black Sabbath led them to start playing metal covers. Instead of using electric instruments they stuck with a traditional mariachi set-up, adding a unique Latin flair to metal and hard rock classics like “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses and “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne. Their singular sound earned them a loyal following, leading to extensive touring throughout the US. In 2012 they released their debut album Uno, and in 2013 they impressed audiences with a rowdy performance at SXSW in Austin. Since then they’ve continued to tour tirelessly, setting high hopes among fans for their highly anticipated sophomore album.

    Metalachi was a Blast!

by LeeandJoker on 10/21/15The Wonder Bar - Asbury Park

I just got my voice back after 3 days! This band gets you singing, dancing-headbanging, laughing, and yelling for more. My friends and I had such a great time, and the alcohol consumption just added to the excitement. I'm glad they took time after the show to talk with everyone and pose for memorable pictures. Metalachi was the most fun I've had at a concert in years!! Loved every moment, the costumes, the selection of covers and the banter. The crowd ate it up--me absolutely included! I will see these guys every single time they're in town.

    Always entertaining

by SweetWillieP on 10/11/15Gramercy Theatre - New York

I have seen Metalachi 4 times and am always looking for the next show I can catch! They are funny and talented. They also never put on the same show twice. I have seen them in back-to-back nights and the second night was different from the first. They are a Must See!

These guys just keep getting better and better. We've seen them a few times now and this was definitely the best, a great concert! They are amazing musicians and great performers, and they've perfected their act. Their experience shows, and boy do they love their fans, who love them right back. I've been around a long time and seen a lot of shows and I say wholeheartedly that everyone should go see Metalachi. They are awesome live, video doesn't do them justice. Rock on dudes!
