METALACHI IN CONCERT:

As “the world’s first and only heavy metal mariachi band”, Metalachi offers ticket buyers a wild, over-the-top live show unlike any other. Taking the stage with the long hair, adrenaline-filled energy, and outrageous theatricality of a typical metal band, Metalachi puts a unique spin on the experience by adding the passionate emotion, danceable rhythms, and virtuosic musicianship of mariachi. Their commitment to showmanship includes outlandish costumes, audience participation, and plenty of humor between songs, and the result is an unforgettable night of heightened senses and lowered inhibitions. By using traditional mariachi instruments to cover hard-rocking classics like Judas Priest’s “Breaking the Law” and Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It”, Metalachi serve up a sound that is at once familiar and exotic. All this and more make Metalachi’s off-the-wall live shows a totally unique experience that fans of any genre will remember long after the encore is over.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Metalachi formed in Mexico in the early ‘10s and originally performed straight-up mariachi music before their love of Black Sabbath led them to start playing metal covers. Instead of using electric instruments they stuck with a traditional mariachi set-up, adding a unique Latin flair to metal and hard rock classics like “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses and “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne. Their singular sound earned them a loyal following, leading to extensive touring throughout the US. In 2012 they released their debut album Uno, and in 2013 they impressed audiences with a rowdy performance at SXSW in Austin. Since then they’ve continued to tour tirelessly, setting high hopes among fans for their highly anticipated sophomore album.

    Cool twist

by Gee Whiz on 3/9/20House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - Anaheim

The Metalachi show was very cool. They were a lot of fun, engage the audience, and had a great sound. Unfortunately the opening acts were not quite as entertaining. Something for metalachi to consider in the future.

    Most excellent show!

by K. K. on 3/9/20House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - Anaheim

Honestly I went in the show with some scepticism, but wow, was I wrong. They were excellent. The mix of metal, and mariachi is something that you just have to hear. I loved the band, the atmosphere, and of course the music!

by Jitterbug on 12/24/19The Canyon Montclair - Montclair

Not worth getting table 1 its away from the stage and there is no view. And you are expected to buy min of 25.00 a person for food That table should not be included as a concert ticket

    Metalachi at the Rose

by Tribute Fan on 12/3/19The Rose - Pasadena

Metalachi put on a very enjoyable and entertaining show, as usual. The Rose is a cool venue but could use a bit of advice from my view ar least. We always reserve a table. Not that i feel im any more special but an increase in severs could make a difference. It took more than 30 minutes to get a dinner order placed. Then the bus person had to ring our salads and utensils after our main course arrived. We were never asked if we wanted cocktails during the whole time we were there. Only on waitress for yhe whole table section. Unfortunately its not the first time we had this experience there. Props to thebus person for picking up slack. The talent is always good there. Which makes up for the lack in service. I know we will still go back because the bands we like play regularly there.

    Metalachi

by Destroyer 72 on 12/3/19The Rose - Pasadena

Metalachi is untouchable. A great time, Well rehearsed, The sound mix and volume were great. Just wish they’d get on stage quicker and request that livelier music be played while they set up. Killed my buzz a little...

    Not What I expected

by Cyndi on 12/3/19The Rose - Pasadena

The venue was great, Food was way better then expected. Music - First Group Twin Sister - Fantastic Second Group - Terrible Metalachi - My Husband saw them in Dallas Texas back in 2014. He couldn't stop raving about them. We got 3 tickets for this show. I was extremely disappointed. There was more talking then music. Very Sexual and not in a good way. Our Daughter was with us and she didn't care much for the talking. Now I will say the female violinist was fantastic - had get stage presence.

    Not what I expected

by S. S. on 5/8/19Suquamish Clearwater Casino Event Center - Suquamish

Wasn't our style. They were a talented band and I would have preferred to listen to just mariachi music. I like some heavy metal music, but this fusion wasn't for me.

    Good Show - Bring Earplugs

by A. C. on 2/4/19172 at Rio Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The band was fun and they put on a good show. The violinist was awesome. The volume was painfully loud, however and numerous people in the crowd were complaining about it. See the show for sure, just bring earplugs.

    Skilled musicians but....

by Viewer of Vegas Show on 2/4/19172 at Rio Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Saw Metalachi in Vegas and was impressed by their musicianship but didn’t think the overall show was very good due to sound issues. The horns were way too loud. I know the horns are key to the show, and by all means, keep the horns. I just think the sound mixing could be better. We left early because it was not fun. Full credit to the band who were excellent musicians. But I wouldn’t go again.

    Metalachi Rocked...venue, not so much.

by Huge Fan on 2/4/19172 at Rio Las Vegas - Las Vegas

As always 'Achi rocked it. The venue was a bit lacking. Kinda tight, sound was ...ok... We totally enjoyed the show. Kinda felt it was a tick short, but hey, any Metalachi is better than no Metalachi.

    Metalachi nation

by Trickthumb on 7/27/17OC Fair & Event Center - Costa Mesa

The sun was hot in OC but Metalachi melted faces! They never disappoint. The newest member, Kiko rocked along with the soul stealer El Cucuy, the heart stealer Queen Kyla, the woman stealer Vega, and the show stealer Paco. If you haven't experienced them live, I feel sorry for you.
