About

MercyMe has been releasing hits in the Christian rock genre since 2001, when "I Can Only Imagine" caught the attention of the public and became the most requested song on a mainstream station in Texas. Despite the band's success on conventional radio stations, the majority of ticket buyers expect MercyMe's concert tours to be religion oriented, and they are not disappointed. Fans who attended the Rock & Worship Roadshow in 2013 described the tour as uplifting and filled with spiritual hits that included "Word of God Speak,” “All of Creation” and "You Don’t Care At All." The latter song is from the 2012 album The Hurt & the Healer, which reached No. 1 on the Christian Albums Billboard chart.

Millard formed MercyMe with Jim Bryson and Mike Scheuchzer in Oklahoma, and after releasing independently, MercyMe signed with INO Records in 2001. Their first album earned the 2x Platinum certification from the RIAA after "I Can Only Imagine" won two Dove Awards. On 2002's Spoken For, which peaked at No. 2 on the Christian Albums chart, the title track was the most successful. 2004's Undone brought with it hits like "Here with Me," "Homesick" and "In the Blink of an Eye." 2006's Coming Up to Breathe was nominated for a Grammy, due to hit singles like "Bring the Rain," "So Long Self" and "Hold Fast." All That Is Within Me was released in 2007, with "God With Us" reaching No. 1 on the Christian Songs Billboard chart. 2010 saw the release of The Generous Mr. Lovewell, while 2012's The Hurt & The Healer featured "You Are I Am" and the title track as the most popular songs. MercyMe has plans to continue its tour for The Hurt & the Healer album in 2014.

    Wonderful worship by all!!!!!

by RickMMFan on 8/13/09Hoosier Lottery Grandstand - Indianapolis

Jeremy Camp provided a beautiful set, opening with a Bible reading, then giving the crowd a treat of lyrics and music. He mixed personal stories with the songs to allow us to feel more a part of the show. MercyMe then headlined with truly awesome music. Opening with prayer, moving all of the crowd beautifully by transitioning into song immediately, allowing us to feel the power behind the music. Integrating worship into the performance masterfully, it was truly a blessing to be a part of the crowd.

Absolutely uplifting and thought provoking in their message and music. Enjoyed all of the concert but the bass could have been less intrusive.

Mercy Me & Jeremy Camp were amazing!!

by matt050601 on 8/13/09Hoosier Lottery Grandstand - Indianapolis

Jeremy played a complete set, shared his life experience, and was charismatic!! He really rocked and was transparent and genuine. Mercy Me played an awesome set and was very entertaining. They were very open and shared their hurt over the tragedy with the driver that hit their bus. Their theme was a loving, caring God. Simply one of the best concerts f an genre I've ever seen.

    MercyMe! What a Blessing!

by Winnie368 on 8/13/09Hoosier Lottery Grandstand - Indianapolis

What an awesome concert. My husband and I are the new youth directors for our church and this was our first planned event, and what a kick-off! I know that the band has had a very difficult week, but they played their hearts out and ministered to us. I would absolutely see them again. Also, Jeremy Camp was great-what a message this young man has to tell.

    Jeremy Camp and Mercy Me

by sdeds1 on 8/13/09Hoosier Lottery Grandstand - Indianapolis

Beautiful weather, near perfect and a crowd that was there to worship and have fun. In light of all the things that have happened recently to Mercy Me it was refreshing to to see them still enjoy playing praise and worship music. The mood was light but there were a few moments when I thought Bart Miller migh choke up. All in all it was a great show with the energy from the bands and the energy from the crowd and the near perfect weather making this show, to me, a five star show.

    This was an awesome show!!!

by Rainybow on 8/13/09Hoosier Lottery Grandstand - Indianapolis

This was my second time seeing Jeremy Camp playing with Mercy Me. This happened to be an outdoor venue which made it a totally different experience when compared to the first. As usual Jeremy was awesome and had just the right things to say at the right time. Considering that Mercy Me's bus had just been involved in a deadly accident days earlier, the show went on with a hitch. When they performed When I Finally Make It Home there was note hardly a sound from the audience of thousands because of the story that Bart told beforehand. If you want to know what he said...Go to a show...You'll understand then.

    Fantastic Worship and Praise!

by GrayHare on 8/13/09Hoosier Lottery Grandstand - Indianapolis

The concert was absolutely fantastic! A sea of people, young and old, converged for a few short hours into a single worshipping body of believers. The music was uplifting and inspiring, especially in light of the tragic accident just a few days earlier.

Jeremy Camp and Mercy Me WOW!!

by SeeDog on 8/13/09Hoosier Lottery Grandstand - Indianapolis

The entire evening was amazing!! Both artists did a great job blending in their testimonies and desire to grow closer to God. They both kept drawing the focus back to God and how big and wonderful He is. It was a time that you could freely worship God through music as much as you desired. It was very clear that MM was very genuine in their feelings for the tradjety that happend over the weekend. The emotion could be felt in the stands but once again the focus stand on God. Amazing Night. It was so wonderfult o see people of all ages sharing in this time together and yet in a way it seemed like no one else was there. A public scene yet moments of a private feeling came into play.

    Mercy Me Concert

by iupui1299 on 8/13/09Hoosier Lottery Grandstand - Indianapolis

It was a good concert. I wish Mercy Me had played a bit longer. It seemed like there pat was over way too fast. I was dissappointed in that. I was hoping they would sing Homesick but they didn't. When they were out there they were great,

It is amazing to go to a Christain concert where everyone sings out together and has a great time. Even though it was hot and we were sitting shoulder to shoulder, I think that everyone had a good time.

by smurfington on 8/13/09Hoosier Lottery Grandstand - Indianapolis

I thought last night's concert was AWESOME!!!!! I thought the bass was turned up a little too loud because at some points I couldn't understand the words that were being sung, but other than that it was GREAT!!!! It was great worshipping God with other believers!

by pooksmom on 8/13/09Hoosier Lottery Grandstand - Indianapolis

What an awesome night!!!! We jumped up and down, we swayed, we laughed, we cried, and we worshipped as the body of Christ. My friend, the only thing that could be better is when we see our savior face to face.
