Melanie Martinez on Tour
Melanie Martinez's first major performance was no small gig. As a teenager, she sang, played guitar and tapped a tambourine with her feet to a crowd of over 12 million on national television, where she impressed three of four judges on NBC's The Voice. Since that momentous day in 2012, the singer-songwriter with the two-toned hair has quickly grown into a full-fledged pop star with a quirky alter ego (Cry Baby) to boot. Onstage, Martinez plays with a colorful, childlike whimsy with striking visuals to match. She first took her show on the road in 2014 for the Dollhouse tour, followed by the Cry Baby world tour to support her 2015 debut album. In between, she landed support slots alongside Lindsey Stirling and Adam Lambert. In 2019, to coincide with her sophomore album and first feature film, K-12, Martinez announced her next world tour.

Melanie Martinez's surreal alt-pop draws from an array of influences, from The Beatles to 2Pac to Britney Spears, the latter who would help bring the young singer-songwriter to TV screens across the U.S. The Queens-born, Long Island–raised Martinez started writing poetry in kindergarten and taught herself how to play guitar by the time she reached high school. In 2012, during her junior year, she landed a televised audition on NBC's The Voice, where she sang Spears' "Toxic." The performance earned her a spot on Adam Levine's team. She made it to the top six before being eliminated. Keeping up the momentum of her newfound fame, Martinez started working on original music. In 2014, she released her debut single "Dollhouse." Soon after, she signed to Atlantic Records and unveiled her debut EP, also called Dollhouse. The following year, she began teasing music from her debut album, including lead single "Pity Party," a dark, dance-y spin on Lesley Gore's classic 1963 track "It's My Party." In August 2015, she released Cry Baby — a reference to her being called "cry baby" as a kid. The album debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart. To support the album, Martinez took on the role of filmmaker, directing some of her own music videos. She'd continue pursuing those ambitions for her second album, 2019's K-12, which is accompanied by its own fanciful full-length feature film, written and directed by Martinez herself.

by Bradd on 5/13/24Climate Pledge Arena - SeattleThe show was amazing. We only knew songs off of “Crybaby” but she played those first out of the three albums. The stage show was creepy and intense and the music was awesome. I bought the tickets for my wife as a present but now I’m actually a fan too after seeing her live. The food and drinks at Climate Pledge Arena were OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE. Also, their no bar policy is ridiculous. Do they not have drinking water fountains there? Great performance. Expensive but cool venue experience.

I was very sad Melanie left the stage so fast if she waited a bit I would get an autograph from my favorite singer but it’s ok the workers there collected the heart ballon’s and I asked if I can have one and they gave me one they were so kind.

Me and my little sister are super excited to go see her in person and we just wanna say thank you Melanie for giving us this opportunity we are front row and will see you on may 10th seattle :)

by Rea on 4/18/24I went to her portals tour last year, it was my first time going to one of her concerts and It felt so unreal, especially from the confetti music and well great performance from her, band and her dancers. i’m going to her trilogy tour on the 15th and I cannot wait for the day of the trilogy tour as it will be my first time listening to her crybaby and k-12 songs live!! I love melanie martinez so much 💕💘💞🫶

by lia on 2/17/24I went with my friend in Hollywood fl and it was like the best thing that ever happened to me. after likeee 5-6 years I’ve been listening to her music i finally saw her live🤭 but overall everything was great. Melanie performed great, getting into the concert, and also js getting the tickets.

by Kay on 2/4/24i went to her portals tour on july 11, 2023 and i was so so so happy i have no words to describe it. I went with my best friend and we were sobbing because we’ve been crybaby’s for years. We dressed inspired from one of her songs. I was fairy soirée, and she was spider web, and it was so fun!!! we had the time of our lives. She made the whole experience magical and it truly was. Every once in a while i look back at the videos and pictures i took because i really wanna relive that hour and a half. I DEFINITELY RECCOMEND GOING IF YOU ARE A CRYBABY!!!!

by Santi on 1/28/24Her portals tour last year was FANTASTIC AND MAGICAL to me, when I went to the portals tour. I WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING TO HER TRILOGY TOUR THIS YEAR! I have been wanting to hear her other albums live. The songs I'm mostly exited to hear are Mrs. Potato head, the principal AND High School sweethearts. IF ANYONES THINKING ABOUT GOING TO HER CONCERT THIS YEAR I TOTALLY RECOMMEND YOU TO GO AND HAVE FUN!
