About

Meghan Trainor in Concert

Pop songstress Meghan Trainor skyrocketed to fame in 2014 thanks to her smash single "All About That Bass". The dance-friendly ode to self-confidence boasts sugary doo-wop vocals and positive declarations like "every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top". In concert Trainor continues that upbeat sentiment with feel-good, dance-worthy pop anthems, winning over crowds with her killer voice, confident stage presence, and cheeky sense of humor. Whether she's strumming the ukulele on sassy tell-offs like "Title" or busting a move to bubblegum jams like "Lips Are Movin'", Trainor makes sure ticket buyers leave her shows with smiles as sweetly infectious as her songs.

Born and raised on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts, Meghan Trainor fell in love with music as a young girl and wrote her first song at age 11. In high school she took up the guitar, ukulele, trumpet, and keyboards, but it was her songwriting that became her ticket to fame. In 2009 and 2010 she attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music's Performance Program and reached the finals of its songwriting competition. She was subsequently offered a full scholarship to the school, but turned it down and began attending songwriting expos across the country. By the time she was 18 she had self-released three albums and landed a publishing deal with Big Yellow Dog Music, which placed her songs with well-known artists including Rascal Flatts, Hunter Hayes, and Sabrina Carpenter. In 2014 she and producer Kevin Kadish penned the body-positive anthem "All About That Bass", which landed her a record deal with Epic Records. The single became one of the biggest hits of the year, reaching No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and topping charts in several countries around the world. Trainor finished 2014 on a high note by releasing the EP Title and announcing the That Bass Tour, her first-ever headlining tour.

    Megan Trainer

by yetiii on 9/18/18The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

The event was filled with many young girls. It started at 7:30 and had 3 different singers for openers. They were all great. Megan did not come on until 9:45, which was a little late. After each opener there was an intermission. Megan was on for only 45 minutes . After she went off everyone was hoping for an encore but there was none. She was great but a little disappointed in the shore show from her.

    M trainor

by dancemom87 on 9/18/18The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

My daughter had fun, but was exhausted once M trainor actually came on. Almost 40 minutes between the 3rd opener and her. Way too much down time, especially when over half of the audience was kids. We were also a bit disappointed in the fact that her set was so short, seemed rush, and she seemed very tired. Overall it was fun, but I was not impressed.

    AMAZING, FANTASTIC MEGHAN TRAINOR

by Avalynn19 on 9/18/18The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Brynn Elliot warmed up the crowd with her hit "Might Not Like Me!" Followed by George Ezra's "Budapest." But the crowd saved their raucous cheers and applause for Meghan Trainor who is "All About That Bass!" She wooed the crowd, stole our hearts, filled our soul, and moved us to dance. No one stood still. She rocked our world!

Awesome show from all 4 acts. Meghan Trainor was so fun, had us out of our seats dancing, and her songs are a good message for young girls.

    Too many acts

by Wrigleytwo on 9/18/18The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

It took way too long to get to Meghan Trainor. 2.5 hours after the show started until she takes the stage.considering that a third of the audience was under 12 years old, this long wait was inconsiderate and unpleasant. We were there by 7pm and out at 11pm but Meghan played less than an hour. Totally unacceptable. The opening performance should be just one act.

    Disappointed

by WorkingMomTryingToHaveFun on 9/18/18The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

I surprised my 9, soon to be 10 year old daughter with tickets as this was her first concert- one she wouldn’t forget. Disappointed! After a 2 hour wait for the other performances, Meghan took the stage for only 45 minutes. By her third song, my daughter was sitting in her seat playing a video game on her phone. SHE asked to leave. Waste of $200+ #MomFail

    Whole Night of Amazing

by RizzRobertson on 9/18/18The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Brynn Elliott was okay, I wouldnt go search for her music though. George Ezra was good but very short. X-Ambassadors was amazing...I'd love to see them again. Meghan was amazing but short, only 45 minutes but she played all her well known classic ones, and a few new ones. Overall would go again, especially with the extra presentors.

    Meghan is Fantastic

by PamelaFromSouthCarolina on 10/6/16Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

What a great concert! She has an amazing voice live and is very entertaining. My husband and I like her 1st album and were sad that she only played a few from it. But we understand she is promoting the new album. Either way, her whole production is well worth seeing.

Meghan Trainor was awesome!! A true entertainer!

by Mtrainfan on 9/28/16Blue Hills Bank Pavilion - Boston

We went to 3 of her concerts in 4 days. Everything from the sound checks to the meet and greets to the concerts was outstanding. Couldn't have asked for a better experience for an M-Train fan. Meghan was great with the individual attention at the sound checks and meet and greets, and her concerts were phenomenal.

    Meghan Trainor

by skoticks on 9/28/16Blue Hills Bank Pavilion - Boston

My bad... I didn't realize this was a teeni bobper concert. The opening acts were for little tween girls. Once we finally got to hear MT, She was fantastic. I know she's only 22, But so isn't Adele. She doesn't need to do tours like this anymore. MT.. your voice is as good if not better than Adele.

Meghan Trainor puts on a great concert! It was so nice to be able to bring my 10 year old and not worry about foul language. She was beautifully dressed and interactive with the audience. Great show. Great venue. Thank you!!

    Meghan Trainor is incredibly talented!

by KatsMommy on 9/26/16CFE Arena - Orlando

I would have given the concert 5 stars if not for the opening acts who were not very impressive. Meghan Trainor made up for them in so many ways! Her voice is quite impressive - she sounds just as good live as she does on the radio. She comes across as being a genuinely sweet and loving person and she kept her performance clean and appropriate which I greatly appreciated since I had my 13 year old daughter and her friend with me. It's rare that we can attend a concert of a popular singer and not experience a raunchy evening. I love that she sets a good example for young girls with her actions and her lyrics. Such a talent!

I'd be fine missing this show

by Charlize18 on 9/25/16Radio City Music Hall - New York

Ehh this show was alright. Don't get me wrong, Meghan had an incredible stage presence. She really knew how to deliver. The audience was really dead though; you didn't feel the energy. Meghan was giving her all but the crowd didn't. Also there wasn't much diversity in the crowd; that made me feel really uncomfortable. I was surprised to see so many kids there; I didn't think they would listen to her music. I felt pretty old being there. Hailee Steinfield was so good as the opening act. Common kings really rocked out. I love Meghan Trainor, but I'm never going to see her again.

She put on a really good show, better than I expected! My son really likes her, I do too! Very energetic. She's very loving to her fans, and makes it known throughout the show without her fans and her family she wouldn't be where she is, very down to earth!

Meaghan's Trainor is a true performer!!!

by Brienko on 9/25/16Mohegan Sun Arena - Uncasville

Seeing a Meaghan Trainor was an experience. She is an amazing performer and a truly beautiful person. She never once came off as cocky. Is always thankful for her fans and her success. She felt like such a true blue person. Not like she was on stage performing but like she was having an intimate conversation with you at a party. Just amazing!!! Hailee Steinfeld was a good performer as well although I am honestly not a huge fan of some of her songs as they have direct sexual content that is played around children. Common Kings were AMAZING!!! They blew Hailee Steinfeld out of the water honestly. Great music, stellar performers and they really got the crowd going.

    Great Show - Blinding lights!

by meekoatcelebration on 9/24/16CFE Arena - Orlando

Great entertainers. Great seats - next to stage. BUT the show had spot lights on the floor, so when they were on, it shined into the seats, blinding us! I had friends on the other side and they had the same effect.
