About

Meghan Trainor in Concert

Pop songstress Meghan Trainor skyrocketed to fame in 2014 thanks to her smash single "All About That Bass". The dance-friendly ode to self-confidence boasts sugary doo-wop vocals and positive declarations like "every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top". In concert Trainor continues that upbeat sentiment with feel-good, dance-worthy pop anthems, winning over crowds with her killer voice, confident stage presence, and cheeky sense of humor. Whether she's strumming the ukulele on sassy tell-offs like "Title" or busting a move to bubblegum jams like "Lips Are Movin'", Trainor makes sure ticket buyers leave her shows with smiles as sweetly infectious as her songs.

Born and raised on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts, Meghan Trainor fell in love with music as a young girl and wrote her first song at age 11. In high school she took up the guitar, ukulele, trumpet, and keyboards, but it was her songwriting that became her ticket to fame. In 2009 and 2010 she attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music's Performance Program and reached the finals of its songwriting competition. She was subsequently offered a full scholarship to the school, but turned it down and began attending songwriting expos across the country. By the time she was 18 she had self-released three albums and landed a publishing deal with Big Yellow Dog Music, which placed her songs with well-known artists including Rascal Flatts, Hunter Hayes, and Sabrina Carpenter. In 2014 she and producer Kevin Kadish penned the body-positive anthem "All About That Bass", which landed her a record deal with Epic Records. The single became one of the biggest hits of the year, reaching No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and topping charts in several countries around the world. Trainor finished 2014 on a high note by releasing the EP Title and announcing the That Bass Tour, her first-ever headlining tour.

    True Performer

by TangHamBear on 3/4/15Mercury Ballroom - Louisville

Meghan Trainor is definitely a performer. She was insanely awesome. She danced and sang her heart out. She even sounds better than the recordings. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Even if you aren't a fan of her music, you will have a marvelous time. I even had the chance to meet her. She is very nice and LOVES her fans. She wanted to know everyone's name and hugged everyone. She is by far one of the nicest people I have ever met. I look forward to her next concert in my area.

    BAD opening act!!!

by RECIT on 2/28/15House of Blues Houston - Houston

The two opening acts were very poor quality shows considering the level of caliber the HOB venue represents. The main act was a great performer and lighting and sound was on point. Her set was very short though. Like 30-45 minutes max. She payed her main single popped a confetti bomb and it was over early. Far from the best show, but not quite the worst show. Typical pop show for young girls and I was out of place.

Meghan Trainor is a must see!

by Tiffanynd on 2/28/15House of Blues Houston - Houston

Meghan's show was great! Very entertaining. She kept the crowd dancing and singing the entire show. After the show she came out and signed autographs for ever fan that was waiting in line. It was 40 degrees out but she made sure every single fan got a moment with her. Made my daughters year! This mom is a fan!

    Awesome Show

by PirateMatt on 2/19/15The Fillmore - San Francisco

Meghan is a great performer. Show was a little short, but she did not have a ton of material to work with. When she gets another album or two under her belt, she will be one of the best shows. Still had a wonderful time.

Don't go if all you care about is Meghan Trainor

by priestessmars on 11/18/14The Paramount - Huntington

All in all, this was a very put together show. All of the openers were great and it's easy to see each of these acts growing into something bigger. Bebe Rexha put on a great performance with her original "Monster Under My Bed" and "Take Me Home." Jacquie Lee is a bundle of talent with a beautiful and mature voice. The Brady Brothers and Nick Tangorra Band also both did a fantastic job keeping the crowd going. The only negative was supposed to be the highlight of the show. Meghan Trainor came onstage after what seemed like a delay and only sang three songs, for a total performance of 15 minutes. If you came to see Meghan Trainor, this was not the way to do it. With the other acts each having a 30 minute set, this shortened set was not only disappointing but frustrating. I am a fan of Meghan Trainor's music and was looking forward to hearing songs not yet on the radio, but this felt disappointing. I would hesitate buying a ticket where she is the headliner again unless I really am into the other acts.

This show was absolutely terrible. Meghan Trainer lip sync and half assed three songs. Three. Unbelievable. Not worth the $40 ticket.

It was terrible, 5 unknown acts before trainor, each did 7-8 songs , brutal, no band at this venue, they played the soundtrack and sang over track, finally after 3 hours of this torture Trainor comes out and does 3 songs, complete waste of time and money
