Meghan Trainor is a pop artist from Nantucket, Massachusetts. She rose to fame with the breakout success of her debut single, “All About That Bass,” which became a hit in 2014. It spent eight consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned dual Grammy nominations for Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Trainor’s debut full-length album, Title, was released in 2015 and charted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, featuring follow-up singles like “Lips Are Movin,” “Dear Future Husband” and “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” featuring John Legend. In 2016, the singer took home the Grammy Award for Best New Artist and also released her sophomore LP, Thank You. Subsequent projects in Trainor’s discography include the EP The Love Train (2019), Treat Myself (2020) and A Very Trainor Christmas (2020). Her 2023 album Takin’ It Back was a return to the blue-eyed soul sound of her debut, and scored the singer her first Top 20 hit since 2016 in the form of “Made You Look.” In the fall of 2024, Trainor embarked on The Timeless Tour, her first North American headlining tour in nearly eight years.

Beautiful voice. She is beautiful and genuine inside and out! Perfect night!
Meghan trainor is a great performer and I love her message to younger girls! I enjoyed the show a lot! I'd definitely go see her again!
I loved meghans attitude and her song choices, as most of them were from her new album "Thank You". I thought she balanced perfectly the super "poppy songs", and transitioned seamlessly to the "sad" songs and the 2 songs dedicated to her parents. Towards the end, she transitioned back to pop with her finale performance of "NO". Meghan was a perfect singer and entertainer for the evening. Besides Meghan, I thought the opening acts were lacking. It felt like no one in the audience had ever heard of "The Common Kings", which played first. The vibe they gave off didn't seem to match Meghan's at all and I was bored for the entire half hour they played, I should have stayed outside to buy a t-shirt during that time. Hailee Steinfield brought a much better and more personal vibe to the concert, and I liked how she was able to connect with the audience in a better way, despite many of them not knowing more than 2 of her songs.
It was amazingly fun! My daughter and I had an epic mother daughter date!!! The wamu venue was great but the bar setup was very inconvenient! Still a great time and a great show!!
Of course, I love Meghan's music, but this event was just so fun, positive, and delightful in every way. She is so sincere and lovely, and got this concert just right. I look for more music and fun from this great artist!!
Meghan Trainor!!! What a truly awesome show. Went with my 10 year old Granddaughter and her Mom and Steomom. We had the best time. The show was amazing and fun. Ms. Trainor is a wonderful ambassador for all the girls in America who truly adore her. The show was absolutely perfect. She is so very talented and really deserves all the good that is sure to come to her. Thank you Meghan!!! P. S. My daughter in law posted a video of my Granddaughter singing her heart out at the concert on Instagram and Meghan _Trainor liked it. Oh my goodness, that was very special. That speaks volumes to her character. I am a fan forever now!
Meghan Trainor sounded great and put on a professional, high-caliber show with skilled musicians. She focused on songs from her latest album but threw in a few surprises and a couple of favorites from her "Title" album (I include the entire set list below). She performed for about an hour, although I didn't put a clock on it. Each of the opening acts performed for 30 minutes each, and they put in a 15-minute break between acts, ostensibly to give people a chance to use the restrooms or buy food or souvenirs. Trainor was in good voice (remember she canceled a previous tour because of vocal cord hemorraging). Although she has a full band playing live, she also uses a lot of pre-recorded music and vocals behind almost every song; fans want to hear something that sounds like the recorded cut, and since she multi-tracks her own voice so much on recordings, I don't fault her for using backup recordings of her own voice. She wasn't lip-synching, and she sounded amazing. The big-screen video behind her and the electric movie marquee setpiece add a lot of punch to the show. Meghan has a lot of heart, and it shows. Well worth every penny for the ticket. Almost a perfect show. The reggae group Common Kings opened the show and were good but WAY too loud, and actress Hailee Steinfeld was a disappointment as the second act; I like her music, but she relied too heavily on her recorded backup vocals, sounded out of breath trying to sing after a dance bit, and hit a couple rough notes. Still, she has promise as a pop singer.
Meghan, her brother Ryan, the hosts, the dancers, the band, the opening acts.... I just can't say enough! My daughter was counting down the days till the ev net, and now she's trying to figure out how to get to the next! Amazing and I love that the experience really did make us feel super cool!!
We really enjoyed the show! The Common Kings were a great opener and were fantastic!
She was so humble and sang great live! I would definetly see her again!
Great show for all ages. Big band feel with dancers and the amazing Meghan. She truly appreciates her fans and goes out of her way to make it special. I adore her.
In the shadow of dark events around the world, what a joy to see Meghan Trainor. Her band is great, her dancers are great, and she is on fire. As parents attending with daughter and niece, we had a blast. Many parents, many kids. The show is joyful with terrific mix of video, featuring all of her hits - and as someone who only knows her hits, I enjoyed all the tunes - yes she is an excellent song writer. Doors at 7pm, opening act on a bit before 8pm, Meghan on around 8:45 - in other words, this is NOT a concert with doors at 7pm and headliner on at 10pm; which I appreciated (especially with many kids in attendance) .
Overall the event was great! However a few things that might help in the future! 1. I know it takes a while to set the stage but 45 min to wait for 3 songs is a bit crazy... 2. I suggest putting the same genre closer together Andra Day was a buzz kill right before Meghan. Timeflies killed it and it would of been better to put them right before Meghan because they had the crowd going! 3. We had the cheaper tickets but couldn't see at all the performers. You had the screens up could you add a video of them singing on stage? So all of us can see them.
Concert was good, however, a little long. Too much time between sets
this is the first time I had been to this venue. organized, easy to access. performances were great and everyone I saw was having an awesome time.
My 13 year old daughter loves Meghan Trainor and so do I. I had been wanting to take her to one of her concerts and she finally got close enough that I could drive to it. We live in Claremore OK. I drove 3.5 hours to Independence MO and then drove another 3.5 back after the night of the concert. Meghan was great! But we were very disappointed that she didn't sing more songs! I was also a little disappointed in the performance by Lil Dicky at this concert. There were several young kids there and they did not need to see him giving Meghan a lap dance on stage. I can honestly say it wasn't worth the drive just in that regard. The venue was just ok, but I do not understand why the time was moved up to 5PM, yet we had to stand outside until almost 6.
Timeflies performed the best of all!! Megan was very good, but the line up Andra Day was a buzz kill and should not have performed between Timeflies and Trainor!!
We had to wait outside of the arena 1 & 1/2 hours before actually getting in. Then between acts they had to tear down and reset the equipment . Wait time was way to long, especially when they texted us that the show would start at 5 pm not 6 pm as was printed on the tickets.
The venue was great. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. The acts were awesome and a great variety. Being able to hear a couple songs from each, exposed us to music we may not of ever heard before. Then of course Meghan "brought it" to close the show. My only suggestion would be to have a video camera to display onto the large overhead screens. This would have made the cheaper seats enjoy the show much more. We could see no facial expressions which only helps the whole experience. We will definitely attend next year if they have it indoors again. The a/c was wonderful, especially since it was triple digits outside. Nice decision 93.3FM!
There were several acts I enjoyed - Ruth B, Meghan Trainor, Zara, Andra Day, Timeflies. I was not a fan of an artist using profanity and making sexual references when a good part of the audience were 13 year olds and younger. I also wasn't a fan of the 20 to 30 minute breaks to change the set. It took me out of the moment and made for a long night. Overall, it was a good experience. The show just lost all its momentum with the set changes.
