About

Megadeth are a thrash metal band from Los Angeles. Formed in 1983 by guitarist Dave Mustaine, Megadeth have sold over 50 million records worldwide across 16 studio albums, received 13 Grammy nominations with one win and have been recognized as a member of the “Big Four” bands credited with establishing the American thrash metal genre along with Anthrax, Metallica and Slayer. Following the group’s 1985 debut Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good!, Megadeth released five consecutive platinum albums including 1992’s Countdown to Extinction, which hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 behind their Hot 100-charting single “Symphony of Destruction.” The group hit their highest chart placements since 1994’s Youthanasia with 2016’s Dystopia and 2022’s The Sick, The Dying... And The Dead!, which both debuted at No. 3 while the former’s title track netted Megadeth their first Grammy for Best Metal Performance.

    Great concert!!!

by ThomasP on 10/8/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

We had a great time at Megadeth! I thought the performance was amazing as well as the sound in the GSR theater. A great band like Megadeth deserves to be heard through an amazing sound system, and it was! I look forward to seeing Megadeth again when they come to town.

    Meh performance

by Googley Googler on 10/8/23Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

With the three hired guns and Dave, it looked kike they were just getting through this last performance of the tour (as was claimed by opener Biohazard) before getting on a giant stage the very next night at Aftershock. Poor Dave looked as tired and lifeless as ever as he gutted his way through his near flawless performance. His body english however tells all, and he clearly didnt want to be there but he had a job to do. The three hired guns were all energetic and performed near flawless sets too however, body english.

    A great concert experience.

by Chief/Lemmy on 10/6/23Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior Lake

We had a great time at the Mistic Lake Casino venue. It was easy to drive to and plenty of parking. They had a good set up for merchandise sales and refreshments as we didn't have to wait much in line. The venue is big enough to get a good show but not so big that your too far away to see. the side screens are also nice for closer looks. The bonus of the night was my son had some luck on a machine enough to make his night basically free. The only thing that was we had any complaint was bathrooms are small and we waited in line each time. The staff opened another area to help with this problem, otherwise we are definitely ready for another show there. Megadeath was great once again!!!!

    Meh.

by Wilt on 10/4/23Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course - Grantville

Not one song from the first album. Whyyyy? STILL playing “tout le monde” ugh. It’s Megadeth man. I don’t want to hear ballads. Idk if it’s the venue (Hollywood Casino, PA)or what, but it’s not loud enough. Saw Volbeat there in august, and had the same complaint.

    Great But Short

by NG on 10/3/23Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior Lake

The venue was great and the music was absolutely amazing. Based on the set list from the Fargo show the night before I was expecting four or five more songs. The length of the set was about the same as most opening bands. I'm glad I went and really enjoyed the music but was left wishing it was longer and wondered if Dave was OK.

Best venue / best live show

by Yup on 10/3/23Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior Lake

Megadeth w/Biohazard ! Great show. Best concert I’ve been to ever! I’ve seen 30+ bands live and this was by far, my favorite live show. Besides the lyrical/musical/guitar genius, that is Dave Mustaine, this venue made it so much better than going to see them in a stadium. We were 40’ away from the stage. Most comfortable, sloped theatre seating too. I had plenty of room in the chair and people could actually pass in front of me without having to stand up. Place is clean and orderly. Security kept the aisles clear. Parking is a breeze. Didn’t buy drinks or gamble but I would have, if I was into that. This is my 3rd show at Mystic and I will be back!! Biohazard rocked! Megadeth blew past my expectations. Teemu fit right in with the other monsters he shared the stage with. That kid was impressive. The whole of both bands, earned every dollar and then some last night! Can’t wait til next time!

    Unbelievable!

by SimplyLiz on 10/3/23Mystic Lake Casino Hotel - Prior Lake

Wow! 5th row from the stage was a great experience. Dave and the band always succeed in delivering live performances. I loved the videos in the background. The new album songs played were on par with Megadeth's classics. Megadeth is still my favorite metal band after 31 years, and I can't wait to see them perform live again.

Checked off bucket list item, but a bit dissappointed

by Private Username on 10/2/23Scheels Arena - Fargo

Megadeth was on my bucket list of bands to go see. I love their songs. I have their greatest hits almbum and listened to it in my car for a year straight. I was born in 1992 so I wasn't old enough to listen to them at their peak. I know Dave is in his 60s but he didn't seem too excited to be there and seemed like he was in a rush to go. In fact he said something about a curfew. It was amazing having the chance to see them, but they didn't advertise well enough, not many people showed up, and they felt like they really just didn't have the energy and didn't want to be there. I couldn't help but feel a bit dissappinted and I'm legitimately kinda sad about it. I was super stoked when I found out they were in town, and can't help but feel let down. Hope everything is ok. And thanks for coming to our small town!

    Disappointing VIP Package

by Diana on 10/2/23Scheels Arena - Fargo

I consider that the quality of the items included in the Delivery the Goods VIP Package was low. Also, at the beginning I was told that the Package was going to be shipped to my place, but two days before the event, I received notification that I needed to claim it at the entrance which was really uncomfortable since I had to hold the items during the concert. I found that annoying. I do not recommend to buy this VIP packages because I feel like I’ve wasted my money.

    Awesome Show!

by herrburns on 10/2/23Scheels Arena - Fargo

Megadeth can still shred. Truly feel blessed to have seen this concert in such an intimate show. Felt like seeing underground bands back in the day, but it was Megadeth!!! Biohazard was a great opener and whipped the crowd into a mosh. Go see them!!

    Still have it

by CH on 10/2/23Scheels Arena - Fargo

Bought the VIP package for the Fargo show. Was impressed by the VIP merch as well as the Q&A with the band. It was interesting to see another side of Dave. The show was great, they haven't lost a step considering Dave has been at this for 40 years and they are playing with a relatively new lead player. Venue staff was top notch. All around a great experience.

    Excellent show

by RGD on 10/2/23Scheels Arena - Fargo

Biohazard and Megadeth. Never seen Biohazard before, but they were rocking! BH got the crowd into it and kept us movin and groovin. Then Megadeth, what can I say. Mixture of old and new songs in their set list with great visuals. Megadeth was fantastic!! Sound at Scheels Arena was excellent. Great bands, great sound and great seats!
