Mega Nova Tickets

Took my mum and 2 nephews. she's a big Herbie H. Wayne S. and Santana Fan...she named her Prize winning Afgahn Hound after Santana albulm 'Abraxas'....she was thrilled to be going....I enjoyed the show it had some lull parts but most notable was how Carlos was into his wife/drummer MOUTH/Face (back turned...was he channeling Miles?) good and not to the audience....and I could hear the audience wanting to see him. Then later they didnt play a crowd favorite 'Black Magic Woman'... . MY MUM was disappointed in that aspect of his performance...but...my Favorite was Booker T! And his AWESOME VOCALIST!....(Even minus the Mg's) such FIYAH at his years I loved him.

What a cool, interesting concert! Booker T and his group with very good singers opened and it was so good to hear his songs again! My long-time jazz favorites Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter were wonderful, as usual. Marcus Miller is a bassist I really didn't know, but will now! I love his playing. The highlight for me was finally hearing Carlos Santana live. Great concert! As always, The Hollywood Bowl was a beautiful setting, and not too many audience members talking or being obnoxious. Love the Hollywood Bowl!

I wanted more from Wayne Shorter & Herbie Hancock; I supposed this is because it was the 1st show, or only show; I can think of 15 songs written by Herbie Hancock & Wayne Shorter that would have allowed the other members to perform excellent solos, while allowing Wayne & Herbie to play their compositions. Would have helped to introduce each song and talk to the audience more. However, it was still good;

This was a most enjoyable concert experience for us. Both because of the ambiance of the Hollywood Bowl on a lovely summer evening and the phenomenal level of talent (legendary musicians) on display, both the audio and visual effect of it all made for an unforgettable experience - and all at an affordable price - who could ask for more?

Second half was Carlos Santana, two drummers, Hancock, Shorter and Marcus Miller. Just a straight ahead jazz jam session quoting whatever themes Carlos suggested (A Love Supreme, In A Quiet Way, Spartacus, Time After Time). Herbie was kind of overpowered by the rhythm section, though. Great for diehard jazz fans, but the season ticket holders expecting Black Magic Woman left early, in droves.

Simply awsum collection of Jazz & Rock Giants, splendid show & hope they get in the studio & put some of this magic on disc...

I thought I was going to hear Carlos sing, play like he is usually does in concert,

An outstanding show, one of the best live jazz gigs I've seen in a long time. Everybody was in top form, especially the insanely talented Marcus Miller, who channeled Jaco magnificently on the fretless electric bass. If you get a chance to catch these cats, don't pass it up!

This was an amazing concert by 3 legends. Wayne, Herbie, and Carlos rocked the bowl. Hollywood Bowl with its magical atmosphere made our music experience an unforgettable night!!!

Music was nice but was expecting a Santana concert...was extremely disappointed!!Thought maybe I missed something but everyone I spoke to at the concert felt the same way. Not happy I went.....
