I had an idea of what I thought would be a great concert. One which electrifies and moves the crowd to the point of profound exhilaration. That was what Hammer did! He Gave me everything and more from what I remembered in the early days. Doing all of his hits, Hammer came with a booming system and of course a full throttle dance troupe.
I had a blast at the concert. I loved how he involved his audience the whole night. When he came down among us it was truly cool! His music everyone and anyone can dance to. Having his son "Booby" with him was amazing. He was an inspiration and I would definenlty see him the next time he is in town. GREAT NIGHT!
Great event. Hammer still is a great performer after all these years!
high energy!!!!!!!!!!!! fabulous back up dancers, including his adorable son. Can't beat that effort. Great music. Best part of the show was when he invited the first three rows of drunk people to come on stage and dance to 'Can't Touch This". What a show, if they could only have seen what we saw!! They'd never dance in public again.
Bunch of kids on the stage dancing all by themselves. Hammer had a few small moves. (Love this guy), but it was not even as good as a high school event. They all wore black and white. There were no special effects, and nothing choreographed (however spelled). Thank goodness he rapped live. He has a few extra pounds on him, but I still had a good time watching the crowd go wild. I just wish I would have not paid for VIP rates because my 3rd row was off center from the stage. Never by a seat from 10 above at Emeral Queen Casino. From the back rows, you cannot even see the stage once everyone stands up. Save your money and buy his DVD..."Best of MC Hammer" )
Hammer and his Dancers put on quite a show. He is a true entertainer. He sang his old hits and even shared a new one, which i liked. He was relevant with his comments regarding the struggles in the Gulf, being that the show was in Biloxi. Hammer was inspirational with a message of overcoming and touching with tributes to Luther and Tupac. It was truly Hammer Time!

Both of these old school groups looked and sounded so good! They sounded just like I remember and the crowd was on their feet for almost the entire show. People were doing their best "Hammer" dances, singing along and really getting into the show! Can't wait for them to come back again.
Hammer was INCREDIBLE! He still has the moves, and smells good to boot! Yes, I was onstage along with representing the Bay at it's finest. He should know that the Bay Area will always have love for him! Whodini was great as well, funky beat, funky beat! They took me waaaaay back! It took me 3 hours to wind down after the concert, to ensure I wouldn't go into cardiac arrest!
I actually ended up watching the concert at The Den in Oakland and it was AMAZING!
The show started off with a bang! Whodini had everyone partying. Hammer started off strong - voice is good- moves are still the same- but his stage show and production was amateurish. I expected more from a veteran. It should be embarassing when a opening act steals the show. Very disappointing but the over 30 crowd of Oakland know how to party! The Fox venue is excellent.
The performance was rated 3 stars compared to his 5 stars days. I gave him 3 stars because it appeared that his arrangements could have been more organized. It was as if his children planned this event all with different directions and ideas. The concert in other words was performed as they went along. jerrio
Hammer is still one one of the greatest Hip Hop entertainers of all time. I took both of my sons ages 15 and 8- I had to let them experience this. The dance routines were hot. Hammer and his dancers brought a lot of energy. You walked away feelin so good and bown away. I have never missed any of Hammers performances and I will continue to support him. Hammer gave all of him and has not changed giving his all in his performace. I also took my mother age 60, she enjoyed Hammer since I started blasted his 1st tape( wow I am telling my age). I now have the best of Hammer CD.
Whodini was great....it was good to hear all the old school songs...Hammer was great he still got all the movers... all the dancers was great it was a party from start to finish we stood up all night it we had a ball...hope they come back again would pay to see them again.....Oh and the DJ with Whodini was awesome!!
Had an absolute blast at the Fox. Amazing setting and venue. My friend and I were in the pit on the dance floor and got the up-close view. Bottom line: Old school hip hop is not dead--Whodini served it up. Hammer and the dancers took the energy to the next level and kept the party going.
Very surprised, Hammer did an excellent job and stayed up with his young dancers.
Overall very good, Hammer preached a bit too much in between songs, but it coulda been to change props and clothes so I wont hate!!
All of the performers Friday night were Amazing! They involved the crowd and put on exceptional performances. Both ToneLoc and MC Hammer invited people on stage for their final songs. I got to go up for "U Can't Touch This". Great time!!!
Coolio and Tone Loc......not so much...Hammer? He's still got it!! I loved it, but was a little upset that DTE muffled the music halfway through the last song, Cant Touch This! You just cant do that.....BOOOO DTE!
