She was on point excellent show. the only downside was the sound stage managers penchant for blowing us out of our seats with sound. Great music does not have to also turn you deaf. Many folks were putting fingers in ther ears paper etc. comon sound folks get a clue.
Maysa is so down to earth. She sings from her heart and with so much emotion. I will continue to support her concerts. What an outstanding performance.
I enjoyed Maysa beyond words! She is a gift from God! One of the most amazing vocalists entertaining today. I cannot wait until she is back int he area.

I agree with other folks comments. She really performs and her passion for her music comes accross in her performance. I've been a fan of hers for a very long time but it was the first time I've seen her perform live. It was worth the wait. Plan to see her again when she is near. Daniel D was off the chain as well.
We all had such a wondeful time. Maysa's band was great.
Great venue as always, Maysa was up close and very responsive to audience. Great set to complete her live album. A true artist, talking, laughing and singing with the audience.
I thought that she was amazing. She gave us such a great show. I wanted her to go on forever. The venue was also very nice and the food was great. Just a great time.
Maysa, is one of the best jazz artist that I have heard in many years, I wish I had the money ( green backs)to back her. My daugther and I had travelled for over six hours to see her. When I shared this with Maysa's manager she said wait ,after the show I will make sure that you meet her before you leave. Maysa was extremerly warm,kind and caring. She and I took a photo together. Yes I have proof that I actually met her. I look forward to seeing her in Connecticut in October.
Maysa did it again, I am never dissapointed when I attend her shows. I really enjoyed the whole experience. She was taping her live cd and she did a dam thing, I can't wait for the cd. Every time she comes to the Birchmere I will be in attendance. Thanks for a well spent evening.
Maysa was great as usual! Every chance we get to see her we make sure we attend! We especially love the atmosphere of the Birchmere, nice and cozy!!
Maysa was excellent. she was very entertaining. her band and background singers were very talented. I would see her again and again. Overall wonderfully awesome.
Maysa delivered such a smoooooth show, I felt like I was the only person at the venue. I would go again and again. The price of ticket was great and to be able to eat and drink was fantastic............can't wait till the next show and the Live CD was a unexpected bonus!!!!!!!
In true Maysa form, she sang and conquered us all. Maysa was at her peak. She could not have been better and then she left us yearning for more and more.......................I guess, we won't be thrilled again until next year.

My girl Maysa did it again! As always, she delivers! I attended the live recording of her upcoming album "Live at the Birchmere" on Saturday night and boy was it a show! She brought tears to my eyes. Maysa and the band was on fire!!!
Maysa sounded fantastic but I was expecting some of her more popular recordings. Because most of the songs were of ballad nature it becaming a bit boring. She needed to do more upbeat songs whether old or new or someone elses hit. Most of the songs and dialogue was about her bad relationships with men, thats old. At one point the audience appeared to get a little antsy, waiting for something upbeat.
I've seen and appreciated a lot of concerts and capable and talented voices at the Birchmere, but when Maysa had the band stop playing, got rid of the mic, and went straight accapella for 10 minutes, that is when you know you have just been in the presence of true god given talent. Her voice filled the room WITHOUT technical assistance and NO MUSIC, and her voice was flawless. There are VERY FEW folks that can do this. I have always been a Maysa fan from her days with Incognito, with that performance at the Birch on Sat, Aug. 14th, I will make a point to try and never miss a Maysa concert. A true musical talent.
From beginning to end Maysa had us laughing, crying and feeling like falling in love all over again.....Her performance touched our souls and made us remember why we all want love and want to be in love again and again.
