  • Transcended Experience

by Yulia Kalinka on 5/26/25The Met Presented by Highmark - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

It's truly hard to describe it in words. Max Richter is something you have to experience. In case it's not enough to convince you, just listen to how he recomposed Vivaldi's The Four Seasons - it's a masterpiece made of a masterpiece.

  • Perfection

by Dah on 5/11/25Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

Max's music is rarified beauty. It reminds me what a gift it is to be alive to hear this extraordinary work.

  • Max Richter: Maximum Richness

by FF on 5/11/25Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

To review this performance with complete openness is quite a simple task. The content of musical compositions performed was extremely well rounded. We see first hand how strong the 20 year old project measures up to the latest of offerings. The listener has a real opportunity to appreciate all of the outstanding musical endeavors Max has produced in between these outstandingly lush bookends. The musicianship was outstanding. The front of house sound was fantastic. The lighting was perfectly minimalistic. The venue is always a favorite of ours. Overall, this truly was an extremely unique concert performed by one of our most gifted composers with superb accompaniment. 5 Stars if not more…..ff

  • Definition of "cool"

by Owen on 5/8/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Max Richter is the definition of cool. His music is brilliant. My wife and I traveled to Washington DC on the 2nd to see him because it was the closest place to our house. He performed at the Kennedy Center and it was such an intimate setting for the night. He has done a ton of movies and shows including "Black Mirror"which is really popular right now. If you get a chance, do yourself a favor and go to his concert.

  • Loved his concert

by Victoria on 5/7/25The Met Presented by Highmark - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

His music was beyond my expectations hearing him play live and in person.

  • Beautiful evening

by Lola on 5/7/25The Met Presented by Highmark - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

A musical conversation between Max Richter and his five string musicians - with atmospheric soundbites (birds, footsteps... ). The Reader was a little hard to understand - would have loved to have the words on a screen behind the troupe.

  • Great show bad location

by Stephen on 10/21/19Moore Theatre - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

Max Richter was amazing! The strings with him (ACME) did a phenomenal job. I would attend another event, and recommend that anyone go. The Moore Theater is historic and pretty, sound was good but the comfort of the seats was a bit rough to take. 1 intermission 2 90 min sets, sitting almost upright and no leg room. That was an amazing but very uncomfortable time.

  • Max Richter and ACME were breathtaking!

by acmemaxfan on 10/20/18Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I came from Memphis just to experience a Max Richter concert. The evening was amazing, emotional, yet uplifting. You were drawn into the stage presence as much as you were the soul devouring music. We left feeling like we had been shown respect for being a witness to the internal workings of our mind, body, and soul. The combination of Max Richter with ACME helped you understand in sounds and silence the acceptance of seeking to find answers to things that have no answers. Absolutely amazing!

  • Max Richter one of our best living composers

    by BBNYC123 on 10/19/18Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing concert. The venue acoustics are not great, but Max Richter is incredible.

  • Poor acustics, show interruptions, overpriced

    by thUrsda6 on 10/5/18Moore Theatre - SeattleRating: 1 out of 5

Speakers distorted audio, ushers kept on seating late comers throughout the show causing bright white light to illuminate the dark theater every time, disrespectful and distracting. Max Richter is more of a studio recording artist, so live didn’t sound as good as on his recordings, but was ok. I was surprised he needed sheet music to play his own music though, it made me think he doesn’t play it often. The cost was $60, for $40 you can see a matinee at Benaroya hall which sounds much better.
