About

Despite enjoying consistent success while on tour throughout 2013, the last quarter of the year was especially memorable for contemporary Christian artist Matthew West, who was nominated for and won his first American Music Award, an achievement that was voted for by fans. He is currently headlining The Story Tour, and will support TobyMac beginning spring 2014. As a live performer, West treats ticket buyers to an energetically delivered mix of old and new material, supplemented with heartfelt stories that demonstrate how he has a heart for helping others, either by inspiring them through music, or partnering with charities and encouraging fans to follow suit. His most recent album Into the Light peaked at No. 51 on the Billboard 200 and No. 4 on the Christian Albums chart.
West began his musical career with writing songs in his father's church and later felt Jesus was calling him to become a performing artist. When not captivating fans in concert venues around the nation, West occasionally stretches his acting muscles by participating in Christian television and film productions. He has been nominated for eight GMA Dove Awards, winning the Recorded Music Packaging of the Year Award in 2005 for his album Happy. In November 2013, West earned the American Music Award for Best Contemporary Inspirational Artist. West's albums, Happy, History, Something to Say, The Story of Your Life, and Into the Light have all graced the Christian Albums chart. West released his most recent album in September 2012 and used it to visit deep topics, like domestic abuse, offering forgiveness after a devastating loss and drug addiction. All those subjects, and others, were discussed in letters written by fans that kindled the creative process and helped the album become an effort that's instantly relatable and genuine.

    The Best

by Randall P on 3/31/22Jefferson Theatre - Beaumont

This may have been one of the best concerts I have ever been to. It was like an experience than a show. Mathew West is awesome as an entertainer, but even more so as a child of God. Hannah and Jordan were great also and we really enjoyed them.

    Family style

by Aunt Nette on 3/30/22Jefferson Theatre - Beaumont

I met him in 2007 on the KLOVE cruise. And he is even nicer now. He and his music have really matured. I was part of the vip blue couch group and he was so personal with the audience. I submitted a question, that wasn't chosen. Who would you like to do a duet with?

    Go West!!

by Tammi on 8/24/21Ozarks Amphitheater - Camdenton

This was my first Matthew West concert and he definitely didn't disappoint! He is a man of God. His passion is to serve Christ, not just be famous. I can clearly see that in him. Thanks Matthew West for the awesome experience. BTW, I love Ozark Amphitheater! Great concerts close by! We don't have to drive to the major cities to see Christian concerts. Keep them coming!

    What Heaven will be like....

by Roadrunner on 12/25/19Reardon Auditorium - Anderson

Beautiful setting, wonderful atmosphere and heart warming, soul filling music, laughter and peace. Praising our King with family for all of eternity is going to be all we could pray for and so much more. A must experience. Superb singers, who spread the love of Jesus in all they do. Gods blessings to K-Love and all who gave of themselves. Merry Christmas to the world, for He is born.

    Loved it!

by Sally on 12/23/19Reardon Auditorium - Anderson

The only reason I put 4 stars was that the lights were a little bright sometimes because they flashed in the eyes, we thought it would be more intimate with not so many light, but I loved the Christmas scenes, the location and the artists! It was our first time seeing all of the artists and loved all of them, Mathew West cracked us up! Thank you, K Love!

    Wonderful

by Dale on 12/23/19Reardon Auditorium - Anderson

This was the most amazing Christmas experience I have ever had. What a gift the artists gave the audience! All four of them were on top of their game. When Matthew West sang O Holy Night the auditorium was silent. It was beautiful! What a fun night, we can't wait until next year!

    Sound management was horrible

    by B. C. on 12/23/19Reardon Auditorium - Anderson

The only reason we were there was because of Matt Maher. We almost didn’t make it to see him. The sound management was a joke. Specifically the lower end and sometimes the bass. Quite a few people left because of it. I just saw The Rolling Stones a couple months ago in the pit, so yes I know what a concert is supposed to sound like. Disappointing.
