About

A star of stage and screen, Matthew Morrison has been nominated for Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe awards.
Morrison currently stars in "Glee," Fox's hit musical comedy series from Ryan Murphy.  In the show, Morrison stars as Will Schuester, an optimistic high school teacher who tries to refuel his own passion while reinventing the high school's glee club and challenging a group of outcasts to realize their star potential.
Morrison will next be releasing his debut solo album with Mercury Records on May 10, 2011.
Morrison studied musical theater, vocal performance and dance at New York University's renowned Tisch School of the Arts.  His big Broadway break came when he was cast as heartthrob Link Larkin in the hit "Hairspray." Morrison was later nominated for a Tony Award for his role in "The Light in the Piazza," and received a Drama Desk Nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Musical for "10 Million Miles." He also starred in the Tony Winning revival of "South Pacific" at Lincoln Center Theater in New York.
A California native, Morrison divides his time between Los Angeles and New York.

Matthew Morrison was AMAZING!!!! Definitely worth waiting the extra month since the show was originally supposed to be on July 1. He is such a talented artist and performer! My seats were amazing as well, 6 rows from the stage!

Matthew Morrison is one of the most well-rounded performers I have ever seen! He performed music from the last five decades, made it his own, entertained teenagers and baby boomers alike! The back-up singers genuinely appeared to enjoy themselves. Even the sound guy rocked out during several songs. I would definitely recommend seeing Matthew Morrison, even if you aren't a fan of "Glee." He is just a fantastic performer!

    Matthew Morrison was AMAZING

by JRose17 on 8/3/11Beacon Theatre - New York

Any Glee fans or just plain old music fans would enjoy his show. He kept the audience entertained with his upbeat music, killer dance moves and his adorable personality. His original songs were awesome and he supplemented those by covering songs that everyone enjoys. He really knows how to put on a show and looked very much at home on the stage. I didn't want it to end!

    A Triple threat indeed!!!!!!

by eddie2870 on 8/3/11Beacon Theatre - New York

Matthew Morrison is a great showman and class act. The show was fantastic and at the end had us standing on our feet and begging for more. It was actually a treat to see someone who sang live and was not auto tuned. His dance skills are also amazing and he makes very hard technical moves seem effortless. Anyone should go see him live if they get the chance – a real treat. On a side note – he is also very easy on the eyes. The band and back up singers were impressive as well. You could tell they all enjoyed working together and the two women were Sassy!!!! My only complaint would be the lighting on/from the set. There were spotlights in each corner that at kept scanning the audience and were set right in the eye line of the audience. It was unbearable at times and a lot of people resorted to putting on sunglasses. The three people next to me left because of it. This is a definite hindrance to a great performer.

I have no words to describe how Classic Matthew Morrison was. I wish the show did not end. He transported you to the old days, yet mixed it up with some new generation styles. Amazing Singer, Dancer and all around performer.

    A excellent show!

by nkotbsb4ever2011 on 8/1/11Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

Wow. He put on a excellent show. He did some remakes of songs and did a few of his own handwritten songs. That man can not only sing but he can dance! He did a tribute to Patrick Swayze, Michael Jackson and Fred Astaire. His dancers and band were also incredible. Matthew was very personable with the audience and made eye contact with us numerous times. He was a great opening act for NKOTBSB. I saw him two times this summer and enjoyed every moment. I would definitely enjoy seeing him for a full concert show in the future. I would recommend this show to everyone!

Excellent show, but way too short!

by RickRR on 7/27/11Conseco Fieldhouse - Indianapolis

Matthew Morrison's opening for the NKOTBSB concert was 45 minutes of pure enjoyment. He not only showed off his tremendous singing and dancing skills, but engaged the audience delightfully and delivered a truly entertaining show. His set consisted of some of his own songs, some covers of some songs he did on Glee, and a few tribute songs to artists who were his inspirations. He also delivered excellent ukulele performances, and was backed up by a talented band and three dynamite backup singers who danced as well as sang. I think he could hold his own with the Michael Buble crowd, just as readily as with the young fans who admire him on Glee; his role on Glee should NOT define his career, as he's the whole package and was truly entertaining. My only complaint was that it was too short; I admit that while NKOTBSB was a pretty amazing concert, I personally would have enjoyed hearing his whole concert as originally planned. Looking forward to a future solo tour- we'll be there!
