After a several-year hiatus from the stage, beloved alt-rockers Matchbox Twenty emerged stronger than ever in 2012 with their fourth studio album North, landing at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and embarking on The North Tour 2013 to the delight of fans around the world. The bands 2013 dates with the Goo Goo Dolls treated audiences to old favorites and newer hits like 2012 single "She's So Mean," cementing their status as a must-see band in 2014.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Matchbox Twenty rose to international fame during the ‘90s with classic alt-rock gems like “Push,” “3am,” and “Real World." Their 1996 debut album Yourself or Someone Like You was certified platinum in Canada, New Zealand and Australia and their 2000 follow-up Mad Season was certified 4x platinum in the United States. During a band hiatus in the 2000s, frontman Rob Thomas focused on his solo career, resulting in the phenomenally successful single "Smooth," a collaboration with Latin guitar legend Santana. Fans rejoiced when the band returned to the studio in 2010 to record what would ultimately become 2012’s North, their first album to land at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Knowing these guys must be in their forties by now (me too), I expected them to have a pretty laid back show, but they kept the energy high through a full two and a half hour show. Amazing! The music was wonderful -- and of course Rob Thomas's voice -- and they played a really good mix of new and old stuff. I've wanted to see them for a long time now (almost 20 years) and I was not disappointed.
It was amazing!! They still sound and have the energy when they first started out. I saw them back in 1998, this concert was even better. Loved it!!!!

They played most of the songs from 'North' (which is a fantastic album btw) & lots of their older hits. They added a couple of new guys to the band so Paul Doucette could play guitar...but he still got to bang on the drums a few times. Kyle was a master on lead guitar, as usual, & Rob was sounding great. One of the best male vocalists...ever. They played a long time included an extended encore. Well worth the money! The stage lighting was pretty cool as well. Out of the three times I've seen MB20 live, this was their best & my favorite performance. I liked the venue but would have rather seen them perform in Dallas. Looking forward to future MB20 tours!
Never been to Winstar for a concert, its a great venue, I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. Phillip Phillips did great as an opening act. Rob Thomas is AMAZING live! I wasn't sure what to expect because you never know when seeing a bad live for the first time, but they were awesome!! Rob and the whole band seemed like they had so much fun, they were laid back and put on a great show!!
Tight, good band. 2 hrs of excellent music/songs. Better than we expected. Highly recommend to go see this show, does not disappoint
They played all of their hits and all of their new songs. They even came out for a 3 song encore!
Matchbox Twenty put on yet another awesome performance! They reached all of the way back to 1996 and included all of their hits from throughout the years. They sounded fantastic! I love when bands sound as good, or better, live than on their record. And Matchbox Twenty does! The lighting was fantastic, also. I wish they would have had the big screens mounted on the sides of the stage so people in the audience could see a little better of what was going on onstage. Other than that, a phenomenal performance yet again!
The concert itself was great. The girl behind us who screamed out each song so loud we could barely hear Rob Thomas. People, let the artist do the singing. That's what we paid $ to hear.
Matchbox Twenty put on a great concert ! Played about 2 hrs. Extra bonus was unadvertised Phillip Phillips as a warm up.
Even after 16 years, these guys are amazing!! My third time to see them and will go again.

There is a difference between making great music and being a great performer. Any fan of Matchbox Twenty knows that they bring the goods. On stage, they are absolutely electric. Front man Rob Thomas knows how to work a crowd, getting them involved. Being aware of his surroundings. Knowing he's in one place that is next door to a major city like the Dallas / Ft. Worth area, and welcoming them as well. Some music is better listened to at home because the artist makes great music, but doesn't quite bring it on stage. Matchbox Twenty is not one of these bands. If you are even remotely a fan on their music, you MUST go see them in person. You will be in for a great show and will absolutely not regret it.
This event will never be forgotten. Like Rob Thomas said, it was "the best tonight I could possibly have." Thanks Matchbox Twenty and Phillip Phillips!
Band played for a full 2 hours - high energy, great show. Played lots of their old hits, sprinkled with their new. Highly recommend, can't wait to see them again!
Matchbox 20 rocked the house! They played for almost 3 hours with no breaks in between! Definitely get your money's worth with these guys!!
This is my third time to see Matchbox 20 and they never disappoint! They play all my fav songs! Im not a big fan of American Idol, but I am now a huge fan of Phillip Phillips! I always like seeing concerts at Winstar too :)
Matchbox 20 never lets me down! they kept the crowd on their feet for the whole concert. they never disappoint for sure. there were more light shows this near than I remember from 2011 but it made it more magical :) these guys win my vote hands down!
Best concert I have ever seen....and more then I ever expected...I one happy woman!!!!
I have seen Matchbox Twenty and Rob Thomas at a few different venues and they NEVER disappoint!!!!
