The concert was amazing. We had a great time. I would recommend this Venue and this Group to all! Thank you for making our experience here a time worth remembering.
Massimo Raniere is more then a great singer...Great songs and very entertaining!!! The dancers... also great!!!
Massimo put on a mediocre show by Ne w York standards however that did not seem to matter as such of the audience was from the part of Italy Massimo comes from. I was impressed by his all woman band but his dancers left a lot to be desired. Their training was mediocre at best. Massimo had a wonderful connection with the audience but I did hear the crowd complain that he did not do any of the old songs. I would not consider seeing any other artist at the Manhattan Center. The seating was very disorganized. The chairs were filthy and we were crammed in like sardines with minimal air conditioning. For the price of the ticket it was not worth it. People showed up and not enough chairs were put out so they asked us to pick up our chairs and move down. For $128.00 plus service fees I expect a clean theater with some service.
I've been following Massimo's career for 43 years! He is just a wonderful performer, singer, dancer, actor. He is just amazing!! I think the Hammerstein is a great venue and enjoyed Massimo's June 2 show which was excellent as it was when he came in 2003 to the Hammerstein. He is a true talent and is surrounded by equally talented musicians, dancers, staff. I have been very lucky to have met Massimo on several occasions and he is truly a humble, kind person. A true gentleman. I hope that when he returns to the USA in the future that the Hammerstien will host him again.
The Hammerstein Ballroom turned into Italy for the night, as Massimo Ranieri put on a great show in NYC. Being a big fan since I saw him in Sicily in 2007, it was the first time I heard he was playing in the USA, and it was worth the trip. It was one of those shows where most of the crowd sang every line, and yelled Bravo afterwards. I barely heard an English word spoken all night. Hopefully Massimo makes a trip to the USA more often.
The concert was fantastic. Massimo Ranieri made a spectacular show and what a talent!
The show was great. The theater was terrible. The seating was all one level and we came out of there with a soar neck.
As a last minute ticket purchaser I was very satisfied with the will call process and the concert. Massimo performed for 2.5 hours with no break, could have sat there even longer. Wish he had sand some more of the original canzoni Napoletane, but I enjoyed it nevertheless.
The music was fabulous. Some of it brought me back to remembering my grandfather. His dancing was great and his singing was absolutely fabulous. I didn't want it to end. I had seen him before but it was not like this. I would love to see him again.
Beautiful show and performance one of the best I have ever seen.
GREAT SHOW, BUT NEVER ENOUGH!!! MASSIMO IS A TRUE SHOWMAN ENTERTAINER.
SPECTACULAR, A TRUE SHOWMAN, ENTERTAINER, ACTOR, DANCER, CHARISMATIC, A CROWD PLEASER. THE ENTIRE SHOW WAS WONDERFUL AND THE "ENCORE" WAS A DEFINITE "HIT" WITH THE NYC CROWD.. I ESPECIALLY ENJOYED THE "NEAPOLITAN" SONGS OF OLD!!!!!!! IN FACT, I SAW BOTH SHOWS, FOXWOODS ON FRIDAY AND NYC ON SATURDAY. I WAS THE ONE WITH THE ROSES!!!!!!!!!
Massimo Ranieri is of the caliber of a venue worthy of a voice, comedian and theatre performer---he was stuffed into a cabaret-like setting--we paid (overpaid) for seats where you could not see a thing, and his talent was not given its full glory in this horribly filthy venue. A disgrace and embarrassment to this master performer.
