I must admit that Mary Poppins was not high on my list of musicals to see but my teenage daughter picked it - we drove 3.5 hrs. after school to get there and it was well worth it! It was simply a marvelous show in every way - the music, the dancing,m the characters and the set.......I would highly recommend this to anyone - I promise you won't be disappointed!
We took two of our grandchildren, 7 and 12, to see the show. They both thoroughly enjoyed it as did my wife and I. The cast was all very good, with Mary, Bert, and the children's roles being exceptional. The special effects were truly amazing with Bert's "ceiling dance" spellbinding.
Ashley Moore and Gavin were fabulous (Mary Poppins and Bert). The highlight of the show was the song (Steppin in Time). Gavin did an upside down dance on the ceiling over the entire stage, while leading the song. The play had a surprise theme which differed from the movie. Mr. Banks cruel nanny was responsible for his adult deviant behavior. She came back to haunt him and the children. The audience was filled with families and small children, many or whom left early crying. The music may have been too loud for them and the bad nanny's behavior made the Bank's children run away from home, which probably disturbed the little ones in the audience.
Wondered how the "magic" could be translated on stage. It WAS! Set design was incredible, creating that all important magic element. The performance by the actors was top notch, and the songs had children (and to be honest, many adults) in the audience singing along! All in all, one of the most enjoyable times at the theatre!
While the music was very good, there were about 4 major songs/dance which were fantastic. The sets and special effects almost made it worth seeing alone.
I took my 2 granddaughters age 5 & 7 last night. It may have been too long of a evening show for the 5 yr old since it didn't start until 8 pm and we didn't get out of the garage until10:45 pm. I loved it and they were mesmorized when Mary flew over the audience at the end. They were both a little bored with some of the song numbers but overall enjoyed going. We sat in the 3rd row of the lower gallery and the sound on the dialog was too low and faint at times so we could not understand what they were saying at times. They kept asking what they said!
Fantastic! One of the best musical productions I have ever attended. The sets, the costumes, and the high-tech additions were really, really great. I thought the interesting uses of color in the scenes were phenomenal. I took my daughter and two grandaughters, 6 and 8, and we all loved it. The 8 year old especially enjoyed it. She was smiling from ear to ear, squealing with delight and singing along with most if the songs. The 6 year old got tired and slept through part of it but she enjoyed what she saw. This was an experience I will treasure forever.
The music was just as uplifting as I remembered! The story still relevant to this date and time. The costumes and sets were remarkable. I can't wait until I have grandchildren that I can take to see this again!

Mary Poppins is the best play I have seen so far! The cast and set designs were outstanding!

Wow. just amazing. My girlfriend and I went and sat about thirteen rows from the front. Excellent seats! Would recommend this show to anybody!
One of the best shows I have ever seen in my life. I was 6 years old all over again. What a task to play such a monumental role and both Bert and Mary were right on the money and I loved every second of it
This was an exceptional show. I took my mother, sister, daughter and nieces. They all loved it. Terrific work by the whole cast.

I take my son to see all the children oriented Broadway Across America shows. They never dissappoint and Mary Poppins was probably the best one yet. The stage setting is absolutely amazing and they are able to transition between sets with such ease. The actors are all fantastic and add their own personal touches to the roles. We can't wait until the next show.
I took my daughter, and we had a wonderful time. Our seats were in the center gallery, third row, perfect! The performance was flawless! Even the kids did a perfect job! We were very impressed!
I just loved it! This is the second time I've seen this show (the first time was on Broadway) and it's just so well done. I would venture to say that talent wise, this show was better than the first. I felt as if the characters were real. As if Jane and Michael and Winifred and Mr. Banks would all go home as a family and come back and do it again the next day.
Loved the show. I would not recommend taking children. Little girl sititng next to us was bored to tears & keep fussing.
