Wonderful scenery and special effects. The dancing was spectacular and the storyline was better than the movie.

my mother and i totally enjoyed this show. we are huge mary poppins fans. the scenery lights, singing-it was all incredible.

Mary Poppins has always been one of my favorite classic films. I first saw the movie around the age of 5 and still love it at age 31. The play was very well acted and the singing was terrific! I would go as far to say that this play has been one of the best I've ever seen on Broadway! First let me point out that the story line is not the same as the movie (most likely because the play was based on the books rather than the movie). Some of the 'special effects' were really fun to watch - such as Mary flying, turning the lights on and off with the snap of a finger, and pulling a 5 foot coat rack out of a luggage bag. The theater I went to was packed full and even the little kids were mesmerized by it...they were all so well behaved! Overall, I think this is a great family event full of fun and laughs, although there were a few scenes some small children under age 5 may find scary (such as the scene with Mr. Banks nanny and one of the scenes at the park).

Our family of four (daughters 21 and 17) went to see matinee on Mother's Day/ It was an outstanding event. I usually am not a fan of the touring companies and I think the talent pales to Broadway but this cast was amazing. We were impressed by how this musical incorporated the movie but yet had orginal scenes and songs as well.

A fabulous experience for everyone in my party, ranging in age from 6 to 66. We all loved it -- the quality of the production, the acting and the singing was incredible!

Very Entertaining musical for people of ALL ages! The children were incredible singers, too. Mary and Bert were wonderful!

What a wonderful evening. The adults enjoyed the performance as much as the kids who were "spellbound".

I've already told everyone I can how wonderful Mary Poppins was last night! Worth every penny!!!

I have seen hundreds of musical productions in my lifetime, but Mary Poppins is right up there at the top of my favorites list. At one point I was on the edge of my seat during the Chimney Sweep number!

I am so glad we went! I took my 80 year old mother and my 8 year old daughter, and all three of us were entranced by the performance. Although the show lasted longer than I had anticipated,(almost 2 1/2 hours), I did not realize how much time had passed and was almost sad that the show was over. That is my measure of a great show! I was afraid that the musical would not measure up to the movie I loved from my childhood, but it exceeded all expectations. I loved it!

My grandson, aged 5, enjoyed most of it, but the show was long, and it lost him in a few places. When he was into it, though, he was delighted! He clapped, hooted, and hollared after the dance numbers, especially Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! The hand motions to this song were incredible!! His favorite person in the show was Mary Poppins. When she flew out into the audince, he could barely contain his excitement. He loved the magic dots that came into the audience. His mama, aunt, and grandma enoyed it thoroughly as well!!

Loved the show, the sets, the special effects, the music. My daughter thought the "statues" were a little "disturbing". I thought George Banks was a little wimpy. I missed the songs that were in the movie but not in the show. Overall, it was a delightful experience.

We went for a mother's day weekend treat- and what a treat it was! The sets are amazing as is the dancing and transitions between. Doesn't follow the movie path, but takes you through some new creative lands and you get to meet new creative characters along the way. A MUST see. Even good for children around 5 and up (who can sit through the show- approx 2 1/2 hrs). Not a good idea to take them to a late show though. Mary Poppins is "Practely Perfect in everyway!!"

I went to the movie when it was released in 1964 (yes, I AM old)....I didn't think that there was any way the play could live up to the movie --- BUT, I was totally Amazed. The sets were wonderful, the cast unbelievable and my daughter and I totally loved every minute of it.

This was the second time I saw this play while it's been here in Atlanta. I thoroughly enjoyed it and watching my little one's faces as they watched it. The songs were amazing and the cast was fantastic!!

The sets were phenomenal. The set changes were seamless. The voices were very good, especially Mary Poppins, Mrs. Andrews, and the children.

a must see.!!!! It will bring you back to your own childhood

From the moment the curtain opened to the last note and bow, Mary Poppins was fabulous! The acting, the sets, the blocking... everything was superb! If oyu ever get the chance to see, don't pass it up.

Mary Poppins at the Fox Theatre was simply amazing! It is one of the best musicals I have ever seen. There were so many details that the director included in the production that just made it an unforgettable performance. It's a show that's perfect for all ages. If you have the opportunity to see this production, definitely go!!!

Loved the show. My favorite part was the tap dancing chimney sweeping grand finale at the end.
