This way an awesome, toe tapping show. Disney and and Cameron Mackintosh did an excellent job bringing this timeless movie to life. I am still humming the music. It was a show that kept you wanting more...not a moment of it was boring. Again, job well done!!
It was wonderful from start to finish! Gavin Lee steals the show as Burt. Liked the girl who played Mary better on tour than in NY, but Burt outshines! Was stunned when we got in the car and it was 11 p.m. Great night!
The exact word to describe this play is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, at first I was worried b/c it started at little slow but then each scene just got better and better and better, it was great that the actors created their own version of the characters instead of trying to be copies and I loved every second of it, this play is pure example of why I love theatre shows so much... Everyone MUST go see this show!
Mary Poppins was one of my favorite movies growing up, so I was skeptical about how such a great movie with such fine actors would translate to live theater. Well all my fears were banished in the first few minutes and the show was awesome. I was especially impressed by the people with smaller roles that really stepped up and made whatever parts they had so special ... 'feed the birds' was incredible. The choreography was exceptional. All the voices were amazing. The entire production was extremely well done. It was amazine.
It was an amazing show. The actors and actressess, music, and set design was awesome.
I never thought I would enjoy another play as much as I love Phantom Of The Opera but it has now tied for first place with Mary Poppins. I would definitely, go see it again.
This show was fantastic! I saw it in London a few years ago, and this surpassed that production by miles! Bert's walk up and down the walls and across the ceiling was really great and Mary flying off across the crowd was awesome! Go and take the kids, everyone will enjoy this one. I at 70, my 91 year old mother, an 18 and 21 year old and a 9 year old. Wonderfullll
I really enjoyed the spectacle of this show as well as the fantastic lighting. I am not a Disney fan and only saw this because it was recommended by a friend. I am glad I listened just for the wow factor or the choreography and lights. SEE IT
Saw the musical at the Fox Theater in Atlanta and it was amazing!! The whole ensemble was tremendous but,Caroline Sheen's Mary, Ellen Harvey's Miss Andrew and especially Gavin Lee's Bert were exceptional. Would see it again.
It was a great show! I was surprised at the changes in the storyline, but it was still wonderful!
We took our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter to see Mary Poppins last night; her first time at the Fox (she has never even been to a movie theater). She was absolutely mesmerized and sat still through nearly the whole show with her tiny feet tapping to the music. If you ask her what Mary Poppins did, she will tell you, "She flyed!" The show was absolutely magical - the sets, the music, the performers, everything. It was enjoyed just as much by me and my 80-year-old parents! I woke up singing the songs this a.m.!
Mary Poppins was truly "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious'!!! I went with some good friends (ages 20-50ish) and we all absolutely loved it!!! The music and dancing was very awesome.
Wonderful Production! The cast was amazing. The set was awesome. I enjoyed the show and would highly recommend it. One of the best!
I went to this show with my husband (and no children) and we knew we'd enjoy it, but had no idea how truly magical it would be. We both were smiling from ear to ear the entire time and were the first to jump up and give a standing ovation. The scenery, the set, the transitions, the cast, the storyline, and the songs were perfect, and we were enthralled. Thank you for an absolutely brilliant evening for adults!!
fantastic...kept my 4 year old engaged on a weeknight...she loved it...the sets were amazing and Mary Poppins flying was awesome for the kids. We sat on the 5th row so what was there not to like???
This was a beautiful production. I don't know what was expecting, but everything certainly went above and beyond those standards. The singing was fantastic, as was the acting. Every actor and actress shined, even the more minor characters. The sets were beautiful and unique, and the songs (even the ones that they altered slightly to fit the production) were all well sung, fun and familiar. If you're taking kids, rather do so for a matinee or earlier production, as the show lasts about three hours. I highly recommend this to everyone! Great for the family, friends, or a date night!
I took my 12 yr old daughter as a surprise girl's night out. She had a blast! We both absolutely loved it! The only thing lacking was the carousel horses and dancing penguins, but they made up for it with dancing statues and some very inpressive tap dancing.
Caroline Sheen & Gavin Lee were both great. The "tour edition" of the set is not as impressive as the Broadway version. It looked silly small in Atlanta on the big Fox Theatre stage. The sound engineering had some issues with the Michael Banks character. A new song “Playing the Game” has replaced the frightening “Temper Temper” - a change that I feel was awkward. The "Playing the Game" song would not even survive one minute in my iTunes account. So if you do not have the comparison to Broadway, it was probably a fun evening.
Is a great experience for me and my friend, the dances the song the performance is amazing
