About

Mary Mary, the platinum-selling gospel duo comprised of Erica Atkins-Campbell and Trecina "Tina" Atkins-Campbell, has been a huge influence on the contemporary gospel scene in the United States, making huge strides towards helping the genre gain a mainstream following. When onstage during a concert tour, the two are known for delighting audiences with strong vocals and jubilant personalities. Frequently, ticket holders also get insight about the songs that have propelled the duo's career, thanks to stories and revelations that introduce some live renditions of popular tracks. In May 2012, Mary Mary released their most recent effort titled Go Get It. At the end of 2013, the duo announced that they were spending time in the studio to record a forthcoming album called Invincible, scheduled for release in 2014.

When the sisters signed a contract with Columbia Records in 2000, they had the distinction of being the first gospel act to record music under the label since the mid-1990s. Additionally, their debut album's first single, "Shackles (Praise You)," was a huge hit for the gospel genre. It also experienced surprising crossover success, significant chart rankings and critical acclaim. Mary Mary have won four Grammy Awards, numerous BET and Dove Awards and several other accolades throughout their impressive career. Besides their accomplishments in the music industry, the two sisters also showed an aptitude for television when they starred in a self-titled series that premiered at the end of 2012. While the sisters have excelled in music, they've displayed joyful and positive attitudes that are evident both on studio albums and during concert performances. With that outlook, it's no wonder Mary Mary are able to enjoy solid reputations in multiple entertainment arenas.

    Awesome concert

by reviewer525 on 8/3/09Arie Crown Theater - Chicago

An incredible concert experience despite an aweful sound person during KiKi's segment. I thought it was really unfair to her. She sang her heart out but you could barely hear her. The music was extremely too loud. I was already familiar with Bill Moss Jr. I had his CD. Couldn't pass it up when I saw the last name Moss. Figured he might be related to J. Moss or the Clarks. So glad I took a chance on buying this CD w/o knowing him. I'm an even bigger fan after seeing him in concert.

Artists were great. Acoustics & sound horrible

by LaSalle on 7/14/09Arie Crown Theater - Chicago

That was the worst concert experience I have ever experienced. Even Marvin Sapp was motioning for the sound people to do something while he was singing. It was so, so, so, loud in me & my husband's ears that he sat holding his ears most of concert. The artist were great but it was something going on with the sound & acoustics. Don't think I'll attend another concert @ Arie Crown. We left before Mary Mary finished. Ears were hurting.

    MaryMary Concert

by DreaRenee on 7/13/09Arie Crown Theater - Chicago

MaryMary, Marvin Sapp and KiKi Sheard were outstanding as usual, but I have to say that Bill Moss was a pleasant surprise and I have played his CD everyday since that night at the concert. I would see any of these artists again and again.

    Group were spiritual and memorable

by darius on 7/13/09Arie Crown Theater - Chicago

The concert in all was off the chain. I came there with a lot on mind, but after the concert was over I felt encouraged. The dark intimate setting of music ministered to my spirit. The price was affordable and the seating was great. My girlfriend and I both went for a nominal price. Thank you for making the event AWESOME and AFFORDABLE! GREAT JOB CHICAGO DEFENDER (SPONSORS)

    Dissapointed

by MarieMarie on 7/12/09House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic City

I love their music but I sure could have done without their judgemental attitudes towards the many people who paid to hear them sing.....One couple in the front row got called out in front of the whole audience for not standing up and praising the Lord the way Erica and Tina thought they should. Erica even rebuked them because one gentleman had been standing in the back holding a baby the whole time, so who were they to just "sit there". She told them to Get Up"....She told us that she could see that some of us "just weren't church people" because we don't act and praise the Lord like she thinks we should. The next time the House of Blues sells tickets for this please note that Mary Mary only wants Christians just like themselves, that the concert is only for certain types of worshipers.

Mary Mary was truly a blessing

by Ladytbugg on 7/12/09House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic City

The Mary Mary concert was incredible. The spirit of the Lord truly was in the House of Blues that night. All of the preceding gospel singers were amazing too. My seats were excellent. The sound and lights were on point too. We really enjoyed every minute of the concert. I believe that when two or more gather in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ Church is in session. On every account, that is what happened, we held church believe it or not at the House of Blues. It was a tremendously abundant evening!

Mary Mary- Very Very Good Good

by Kev123 on 7/12/09House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic City

The opening acts were good. Mary Mary came out about 45 mins. after start time. My girlfriend wasn't "THAT" big on them, but now, she's a big fan! They sung every song very good & was very friendly to the crowd. We would love to see them again!
