Mary Mary, the platinum-selling gospel duo comprised of Erica Atkins-Campbell and Trecina "Tina" Atkins-Campbell, has been a huge influence on the contemporary gospel scene in the United States, making huge strides towards helping the genre gain a mainstream following. When onstage during a concert tour, the two are known for delighting audiences with strong vocals and jubilant personalities. Frequently, ticket holders also get insight about the songs that have propelled the duo's career, thanks to stories and revelations that introduce some live renditions of popular tracks. In May 2012, Mary Mary released their most recent effort titled Go Get It. At the end of 2013, the duo announced that they were spending time in the studio to record a forthcoming album called Invincible, scheduled for release in 2014.
When the sisters signed a contract with Columbia Records in 2000, they had the distinction of being the first gospel act to record music under the label since the mid-1990s. Additionally, their debut album's first single, "Shackles (Praise You)," was a huge hit for the gospel genre. It also experienced surprising crossover success, significant chart rankings and critical acclaim. Mary Mary have won four Grammy Awards, numerous BET and Dove Awards and several other accolades throughout their impressive career. Besides their accomplishments in the music industry, the two sisters also showed an aptitude for television when they starred in a self-titled series that premiered at the end of 2012. While the sisters have excelled in music, they've displayed joyful and positive attitudes that are evident both on studio albums and during concert performances. With that outlook, it's no wonder Mary Mary are able to enjoy solid reputations in multiple entertainment arenas.
I really enjoyed the show & so did my daughter. We really enjoyed the personal effect both of them had with the audience. They both were very down to earth spiritual women.
Mary Mary was wonderful!! I have a 4 year old son who loves them and he was so thrilled with the concert. I appreciated their approachable nature. They both shook his had and said they loved him. That meant the world!! Next time more advertisement!!!!! That concert should have been sold out!!
I truly loved this concert. Tina and Erica were phenomenal!! They are EXTREMELY down to earth GOD fearing women and we need a lot of women such as these in our lives. I wish Erica the best on her pregnancy and may GOD bless, sanctify and keep them HOLY!!
My wife and I attended the show at the Keswick Theater in Glenside, Pa. and we were not dissapointed. Great energy and man, what talent! These ladies can truly sing. Two beautiful sisters who really live for Jesus. Don't miss them when they come to your town.
Outstanding Show - from start to finish! Wish they would have given us an encore!
This concert was incredible. Mary Mary did their classic songs and included all of the new hits and were really funny as they shared their testimonies on the stage. It was spiritual and fun and I can't imagine that anyone in the audience could have asked for more. If you are looking for a great time in the Lord, you definitely want to catch this concert on tour.
I love Mary Mary!!! They really blessed us! Awesome show!
An amazing evening of praise and worship! These ladies can sing to the heavens!
The show was wonderful. Pastor Waller should have been on longer. Only problem, the intermission was too long.
I enjoyed the Mary Mary show at the Keswick Theatre on November 10, 2011. Their performance was wonderful. They are beautiful sisters. You can feel the sisterly love between them. I would recommend their show.
Seeing Mary Mary live in concert for the 1st time was an incredible experience. They have so much talent, performs with passion, compliments each other so well, and seems to genuinely love to perform.
I really enjoyed the concert. Mary, Mary (Tina, Erica) were wonderful!
My bottom line: Mary Mary was FANTASTIC! I really enjoyed the energy that they brought and I felt like they brought their best! The flow was great and I went home excited that I had seen Mary Mary! And Sinclair from Living Single was an awesome host! My other bottom line: What is the deal with having 5 opening acts with 2-3 selections apiece, a 30 minute intermission, and what happened to the rewards ceremony!! Mary Mary only came out for 40 minutes!! I would have felt like I got my money's worth if Mary Mary had performed longer than seeing a bunch of other acts. The 10 year old was cute but I would have preferred that time spent with Mary Mary. And after one of the singers came out with 4 of the most non-professional background singers I've ever seen, I was ready to leave! My next bottom line: the eq on the mics for all the background acts was awful...period. When the group of 12 came out I could only hear one mic well. It overpowered the rest and it took away from the enjoyment experience. Last bottom line: Mary Mary gets 5 stars. The opening acts get 3.5 stars. The fact that the openings were an hour and a half: ZERO STARS!!!
The local performers were great but I can see them anytime. I expected a little more from them. Don't get me wrong the singing was great but the performers attire on stage let me down. I can get the round the way girl look just steppin out my door. I don't have to pay for it.
MaryMary are truly amazing performers. Needing only a spotlight, a microphone, and a band they rocked the house 5/6/11.The only problem with the show was it wasn't an official MM show, and their set only lasted about an hour. As a big fan I would have like to hear more songs by them. The show consisted of an 1 hour and a 1/2 of birmingham native performers, but the final hour was all MaryMary. One of my biggest fears is seeing an incredible singer hold back because they show isn't televised. Vocally, the ladies were exceptional as always belting, riffing, and even rapping. The both displayed amazing range with their powerhouse vocals. Only at a MM show can you sing, dance, cry, shout, and praise God. I commended the ladies for encouring us after our state had recently been hit by a tornado. I can definetly see ministry in these ladies future. I SPENT THEIR ENTIRE SET ON MY FEET.
Great time, amazing performance. Mary Mary looked amazing! The music was a bit loud at time, that was my only complaint.
Mary, Mary was Fantastic, magnificent, enjoyable!!!
My family really enjoyed the entertainment. At first I thought we were going to be disappointed because we where informed that this was not a "concert" but an awards program. But my mom and and Aunt LOVED IT! I got there just in time for MARY MARY and they were awesome, but my mom and Aunt had a blast during the entire event. It was worth my money to see those ladies smiling.
I enjoyed the tribute by Joycelyn Whatley. Could have listened to two or more songs by her. Several of the artist took up time and space such as big prophet. The music was too loud! The new aspiring gospel artist had too much time allocated to her performance. Even though the young 10 year old was cute, he had too much time allocated to his performance. By the time Mary Mary came on stage I was ready to go home. Their presentation was fabulous even though the music was EXTREMELY Loud! Would not like to go to another concert that takes 2 and a half hours before the main attraction starts.
The show was awesome. They really sang there songs. The show began on time!
