Mary J EXCELLENT (however should have only had 1 opening act)

It was a great concert! I enjoyed all the artists. Mary J threw down as usual. Can't wait for the next concert.

First time seeing Mary live. Was overly impressed.

Seeing MJB is always a treat. She gives 100% to the audience while belting out her soulful, heartfelt music and hip hop jams. We thoroughly enjoyed her performance. However, the timing of the show was poorly paced and Mary didn't hit the stage until 3-1/2 hours after concert started. We learned it was because D'Angelo was late arriving to the arena due to an emergency. But once he hit the stage, he was just as awesome. It would have been nice if they had video screens for those who were not sitting close to the stage. While we had pretty good seats, it was disappointing not to see the performers up close on video screens.

Mary J. was incredible; a soulful show that I would gladly see again. D'Angelo was great but his performance was too short. My two critiques: there was no acknowledgement of a delay until Mary J. apologized to the audience (to no fault of her own). Second, I realize that it must fuel the performer when the audience knows all of the words to most of their songs but I paid to see and hear Mary J. sing, not the audience. However, when she was singing, she was fantastic.

mary J did an excellent job! I love her in concert.... and she looked nice. Go Mary... you still the bomb after two decades!

The show was well worth the money paid, Deangelo was late, but when he did sho up he deffinatly showed out the music and band we excellant he sounded just like his C.D.'S great, and of course Ms. Mary took us through her life like no other, she was excellant.

MJB is an absolute star!. D'Angelo was nearly an hour late and Never apologized. Shortchanged the crowd by singing only half of his marquee songs and about 10 minutes on a random song from his second album. What a waste of time :(! Mary apologized on his behalf which shows she is a true professional. Her lighting, stage performance was phenomenal. She had great energy and brings the real when she performs! She really doesn't need any opening acts and she should dump D'Angelo. They were okay but the main attraction is MJB.

Event started late - 7:45 pm. Opening act was ok. Melanie Fiona was good. D'Angelo came on even later (9:15 pm) and played a much too short set (20-30 minutes). When Mary J. finally came on (after 10 pm), she apologized for late start and stated D'Angelo had an emergency. She made up for tardiness by putting on an AWESOME show. She sang hit, after hit, after hit and was on until midnight. The girll is BAD!!!! I would definitely pay to see her again and I hope the next time she comes to Chicago, she is by herself.

it was nice,it was delayed but ended up being very nice

Went to the concert with my wife and another couple. Mistake! I should have allowed my wife to attend the concert with her girls. I felt like I was at a Women's Empowerment Conference. Mary J. Blige did her thing though. She owned the stage and rocked the crowd. The problem was everyone was singing her damn songs. I paid to hear Mary J. Blige, not her fans. I digress. D'Angelo could have done less screaming and shouting and performed more songs. Nonetheless, the dude still has it. Melanie Fiona is fine as wine. She only performed for a few minutes but them legs was all I needed to see. In closing fellas let your lady roll with her girls on this one. Peace,

I wish everything was on time and wish d'angelo played longer

D'Angelo had Some emergency that made him late and pushed the entire concert back, his performance was short as well. Melanie Fiona was great!

First of all Mary did her thang but there were no big screens so that everyone could see her. If you are gonna give a concert in an arena, then you must have projector screens so that every one can see you. Otherwise, we could have watched you on TV and had a better view. DeAngelo was horrible. He was late (2 hours) and only sang three songs. I couldn't understand a word he was saying in the first song. Is he trying to be the new James Brown or what? All I could think is that I needed some of what he had so that I could try to vibe with him. As Mary said "I am gonna pray for that brother. " Melanie Fiona was good. I did not realize how many songs she had that I liked. Overall the concert was not good because it seemed poorly planned with all the long intermission between each person.

The concert was lovely!! We enjoyed the show DeAngelo gave but Mary blew my socks off. The venue was excellent outside of not properly dressing for the weather. I enjoyed how Mary took us through the tracks of all her music over the years.. I give this two thumbs up and 10 STARS!!

This was my first time seeing Mary J. Blige in concert. Wow! Well worth it. She really put on a GREAT show. I must say I was disappointed that D'Angelo was tardy...and did not apologize to the audience. Melanie Fiona was great as well. I have a new appreciation for her music.
