Grammy-nominated Marvin Sapp credits the entirety of his pop culture success to his faith, a power that served as the sole inspiration behind his 2012 participation in the Kings Men tour — not to mention his best-selling 2007 release, Thirsty. After achieving success with this breakthrough album, Sapp proceeded to further spread his faith by pursuing a speaking tour, as well as a live recording of several fan favorites at churches and cathedrals across the country. Sapp’s performances has fans on their feet, swaying side to side to his slow, yet inspirational lyrics. In 2009, the gospel singer followed up his huge breakthrough album by recording "Here I Am" live at Wyoming, Michigan's Resurrection Life Church. More recently, he's followed a similar concert album route with the release of "I Win," a touching collection recorded at Evangel Cathedral near Washington, D.C.
Although largely unrecognized until his 2007 spiral to fame, Marvin Sapp's musical career hails back to 1991, when he joined gospel group Commissioned as one of the lead vocalists and participated in three major albums as well as an extensive American tour. In 1996, Sapp broke away from Commissioned in hopes of launching a solo career, thus beginning the eleven-year journey that ultimately led to 2007's Thirsty. Since that first major record success, Sapp's achievements have included BET's Best Gospel Artist in 2008 and 2010, plus multiple Grammy nominations in 2013. His late 2013 plans included taking the same faith-based approach to music responsible for his many awards, album accolades and ticket sales, infusing the traditional gospel approach with his distinctive contemporary style.

The concert was great! Marvin Sapp, Tamela Mann, and David Mann were the best…Ivtruly enjoyed them.
The artist were great but the venue's sound system was horrible. This is my second time at this venue and the sound has been the issue both times. My seats were on the left side of the stage on the second level and all we heard was echoing. We couldn't understand most of the talking. We could hear the singing but it was faint at times. Very disappointing 😞. So glad that I won the tickets from a radio station and didn't pay.
I really did enjoy the concert. My only complaints is that the musicians (especially the drummer) were louder than the singers. Second, the other concert goers just didn't stay still. I spent the whole concert up & down in my seat. Very irritating.
It was a nicely put together concert! A must see event!!
The show was awesome. Love love loved it. I really enjoy the show. Marvin Sapp, Tamela Mann, and Tye Tribibit was a good recommendation. Would go again
Excellent performance true man of the gospel. Love to listen to him preach and sing
I had a Holy Ghost blast!!!I traveled all three events. I went to Fayetteville on Friday. Saturday Hampton. Pastor wasn’t at that event but on Sunday. That Sunday the equipment wasn’t acting right. Pastor Sapp prayed . I tell you he was filled up and running into overflow. He sang so much he lost his voice. I really had a Mother’s Day blast!!! God bless the man of God.
The show was off the chain. I have a really awesome time. The spirit was in the house. All of the singers were fantastic. Great job.
Every act was great! Having David Man as the host was a great addition!
Annointed performance, good view and great sound. I thought Marvin Sapp with Tamela Mann is also a great time.
This was a great show , took a ride there traffic was good the time I arrived definitely 5 stars
This was a joyous surprise for my mother whom as not only celebrating Mother's Day but also her Birthday. The performers were awesome. However, the venue should do better with their response time to medical emergencies as well as ensure their facility is in good standing. A concert goer suffered a bad fall due to the venue having railings that were not screwed down securely.
My mother and I enjoyed the line up. It was held in the smaller/older side of the crown. Chairs were smaller and uncomfortable for the length of the program. I don’t know if the audience was taken into consideration. I saw many elderly struggle to get to their seats. The rows were hard to decipher. An entire row had to shift backwards after the concert started in the dark which was a distraction to others. The sound system had a few issues. Background mics didn’t sound right until Marvin Sapp was on stage. Despite it all, I think everyone enjoyed it.
The show was amazing from beginning to end. LOVE IT!!!!
The artists (Marvin Sapp, Jekalyn Carr, The Clark Sisters) did the best that they could. It was the arena that completely dropped the ball! Doors were to open at 6:30, but they had us standing outside awaiting for someone to unlock the area where we were to be seated. Walking in the corridor to our seats, there was popcorn and loose pieces of paper all over the floor, so apparently, it had not been cleaned before our arrival. As Legendary as the Clark Sisters are, they should've been placed on a nicely lit stage coupled with monitors so that the audience could see them clearly with a working sound system that didn't go in and out and make loud screeching noises if they got to close to something or another. On top of that, the lights in the arena stayed on during the entire show. I've never seen that to happen before, but it did on this night. I guess they kept the lights on over the crowd to make up for the light that the artist didn't have on stage. It was a mess! As expensive as tickets are and as hard as folks work for their money ... is it to much to ask for one night of excellence!?! CROWN, YOU NEED TO DO BETTER!!!!!!
The Artists of the Mothers Day Concert were excellent. It’s a shame that they had to deal with the terrible sound system. Each artist had to keep motioning to the sound system engineers to correct sound problems. It was difficult to hear the words the artists were singing due to distortion. If Fayetteville want to keep attracting big name artists you must invest in better sound equipment and engineers.
IT WAS A AWESOME SHOW I REALLY ENJOYED EVERY PERFORMANCE. MARVIN SAPP WAS MY FAVORITE!! THE ENTIRE ATSPMORE WAS WONDERFUL I'M SO HAPPY I WAS BLESSED TO TAKE MY MOM AND DAUGHTER AS WELL THEY HAD A GREAT TIME!
It took way too long to let people into the arena. Then it was hard to find seats; there were not enough ushers working for such a large event. The arena needs telethons . Although I had close seats , there were tall people in front of me which made it hard to see the artist on stage at times. But overall, it was okay and I sat next to really great people.
Amazing artists and superb vocals! I truly enjoyed how Jekalyn Carr, The Clark Sisters, Marvin Sapp, and Tasha Cobbs-Leonard were able to engage the audience with song & praise. The venue had some sound issues that we had to deal with, but overall I was very pleased with the experience.
