Martin Barre Tickets

It was a Friday afternoon after a tough week. I was beat and but headed out early to avoid the traffic. The show was at the Cabot Theater in Beverly and it was a slightly warmer than normal fall evening. The leaves rustled on tree lined Cabot Street as we walked towards the theater merging with other concert goings. The anticipation was great...and Martin did not disappoint. Martin Barre and band were brilliant, rocking and leaving nothing on the stage. So many times I closed my eyes and it was once again 1975 laying in bed with massive headphones, hanging on every note. Dan Crisp is an amazing vocalist whose voice captures the essence of the Tull selections. Thanks Martin for allowing me to revisit a more innocent time of life, if only for a moment, and one that will last the rest of my days. It seems we never get enough of that and I was lucky to have the opportunity. TY John

The show was half sold out, so we bought the cheapest tickets and moved down to the third row of the balcony. I was pleased that the ushers did not hassle us about moving. The show was good, but a little slow until toward the end when they started to play Beatles and Tull songs when it really picked up. The last four songs were worth the price of admission. It was 40+ years since I last saw Barre playing with Tull and Ian Anderson. The Barre show brought back many fond memories. It was good to hear his speak from the stage. a three star show at a five star venue.

Yes, we were all very very pleased with the Martin Barre Band. Martin was perhaps even better than past years with Ian and Tull. The band played an enjoyable mix of "Tull" classics, with their own little twists,, as well as some of the lesser known "Tull" catalogue. They also mixed in some of their own music, some of which was from his new album, "Back to Steel" All very good, and the diversity of musical styles was refreshing. They performed their own awesome take of the classic "Beatles" song, "Eleanor Rigby",in a very different tone and fashion. It was GREAT !!! We were pleased to see that it was also on the new album, of which we all definitely had to have. After the show the entire band came out to meet the appreciative fans, and took extra time chatting and signing everything we had and more. As a "Tull fan, veeerrryy pleased !!!

Words can not express what a spectacular show this was! Martin Barre was out of control awesome! Dan's voice and guitar were simply killer as well as Alan and of course George. It truly was an awesome night of music ! Look forward to seeing them again when they return to the states!

I expected to see a good show by Martin Barre as Jethro Tull is one of my favorite bands. What I got was an amazing show as Martin and The Martin Barre Band were rocking Saturday night at the Blue Ocean Music Hall. Martin is very personable and an amazing guitar player. We got to hear many Tull classics in new forms and Martin's own music as well. I looked around at the close to sold out room and everyone had a big smile on their face. Everyone was having a great time. 2 great sets and they just rocked the place. They dug deep too. Songs from way back right up to the present. I'll definitely go see them again. It was great!!!

Fantastic !! Great Show! Everything was great !!! He was (as his band ) at the top of greatness !!!!

This is the 3rd time we have seen them since Feb. They just get better each time. Would recommend that you get out and see them when they are back in the states.
