An absolute blast. The closest this generation will get to experiencing the Ramones. If Marky Ramone's band happens to be passing through your city, don't miss out!
The last of the Ramones⦠Marky is an icon⦠amazing show. Played all the hits nonstop. Band was energetic and great musicians.
Marky Ramone hits all the beats like it was 1979 all over again! His band rocked the tunes and jammed!!
Felt like i was a teenager again. Marky still has it! D.I. was badass too! Hopefully they come back soon!
Great show at HOB. Caught one of his drum sticks after the show.
Anyone that didnāt get the opportunity to see the Ramonās. And for those who have. This is as close to the original as there is.
You're crazy if you think I'm giving this show less than 5 stars, I'd give it a million if possible. I was bouncing, jumping, dancing, and shaking my ass song after song 1..2..3..4! It's the legend himself Marky Ramone providing the backbeat and the rest of the band hailing down a Blitzkrieg. The original Ramones may have passed, but Marky and the Blitzkrieg proudly carry on the spirit of The Ramones. Hey Ho! Buy a ticket you won't be disappointed.
Hey, ho, let's got! A really great show, super good atmosphere!
It was an incredible show full of energy! Live nation or whoever handles the tickets had a huge disaster people couldnāt get in. My tickets werenāt even working but the show was phenomenal!
Would go again for a second part and third to hear a lot more songs they didnāt play!
Venue is very nice. Bands started playing at 8. Headliner went on at about 10.
It was my first time at the stone pony for anything, and how lucky was I to see a a Ramone perform! The two opening acts were fun, the dj playing music in the background did a great job, but the Blitzkrieg???? So much FUN!!! There were people of all ages dancing and singing to the classics. Marky, Andrew WK and the rest didn't skip a beat and kept us entertained. After the show, the band took time out to say hi to us fans, and I swear I cried tears of joy.... I MET A RAMONE!!!
While it was cool seeing Marky Ramone and see him playing drums, that was it. Sorry to say it was no better, or worse, than seeing any other band cover Ramones songs. Other than Marky being there, it's not the Ramones.
NEMHF 2009 was the last time I left a concert exhausted from awesomeness. The Ramones are my favorite band but they broke up when I was a child so I never got to see them. After that show I don't feel so bad about it anymore. It felt like being at one of those concerts I've watched on my DVDs. Andrew WK put so much party energy into it the place was electric. I can't say enough about it. If you are in an upcoming city drop everything and go.
I've seen Marky many times during & since his Ramones days, and I gotta say the guy just keeps getting BETTER! Could have watched him drum for another 2 hours. He was clearly the star of the show, and his drumming is AMAZING! He is without a doubt the most incredibly talented drummer of our day. The book is great, too! Highly recommend it, it has lots of nostalgia, new information and insights, and is a thoroughly enjoyable read.
Awesome show. Andrew WK has a ton of energy, as always!
Ramones songs from start to finish , nonstop awesome show , i saw the ramones 20 years ago and this show was just as good if not better... Let's put it this way , my old ass was in the pit the whole time... Great show Marky & Andrew W K ...
Maybe the best show I've ever seen. Closest anyone can get to seeing the Ramones.
I am a Ramones lover since the mid 70's. Their shows were one of a kind events, the memories of which I will always cherish. This show was as close to theirs as is humanly possible. 1-2-3-4! 35-40 songs in a row, no time to catch your breath in between. Every hit or good song you can remember. Andrew WK was perfect. Sounded like Joey sometimes but using his own style he paid homage to the history of this iconic band.
