Great and fun show. Played all the favorites from the Ramones catalog.
Second Time in this show...this Is real punk rock...you feel Energize afther this show....long live the Ramones
Marky Ramone put on an authentic Ramones show. Ramones 2.0 was quite an excellent rendition of the original. Nothing replaces Joey, Johnny and Dee Dee, but it is as close as you come to the vibe back in the day. Musically it was "spot on". Marky arranged an impressive group of musicians that are true to the original show. I saw the Ramomes front row center 45 years ago at Montezuma Hall at SDSU, and I can say that Marky is better than ever at the drums. He has not lost a beat and put on an impressive 35 song set that required a lot of stamina, especially since he is the heart of the band. I was equally astonished that they played the entire catalog of all the Ramones songs and many of the covers that Joey Ramone loved. Hats off to Marky Ramone for this pinnacle performance that leaves true fans bringing us back to the late '70's one last time.
House of Blues is an awesome venue! Marky Ramone still kills it on the drums! His band was badass tons of punk rock attitude Took my 16 yo son to see the legend we had an insane time even jumped in the pit a few times!!
Great show, must see for any Ramones fan. Go watch
My husband and I loved their show! Definitely one of the best shows in a long time. We never got to see The Ramones back in the day, and it was exciting to see atleast Marky and his band. They were awesome!
Great show -- high energy Ramones' classics played non-stop (literally). Band sounded good and interacted with the crowd nicely. Opening bands were good too, especially Kate Clover -- she was fantastic.
Awesome, awesome, awesome. Great moshing pit. Staff were nice. I love how the stage is not so high so it is easier to your neck. I would love to have a repeat of this event.
This was a nonstop onslaught of pounding punk and powerepop. Crowd was in to it big time with a whole lot of moshing going on. Very fun a bit behind the mosh pit!
For me, one of the best parts of the NYC Christmas season is Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg's annual show at Gramercy Theater. Non-stop Ramones favorites played faithfully (aside from a few Marky drumrolls) and energeticly along with a few covers (RAMONES by Motorhead, Sinatra's "NYNY"and "Wonderful World") had the audience from the first beats of "Do You Wanna Dance?"till the end of the third encore.
First time going at Gramercy theater to see Marky Ramone, the show, the staff and the environment were great ! I definitely recommend this place to see your favorite artists Keep rocking all the way Gramercy Theater NYC 🎸🤟🗽🗽!
Awesome show as always. I go every year. Almost 2 hours of awesome tunes.
This was the second time I have seen Marky's Blitzkreig, and both shows were tremendous. The three young guys in front of Marky are stylistically reminiscent of Joey, Johnny and Dee Dee, but they perform with pure punk power and an absence of kitsch. And ... its hard to believe Marky is still beating the drums like he does at age 71. His beats are strong and steady, and he uses the cymbals creatively just like he (and Tommy before him) always did with the Ramones.
Incendiary energy from the stage to the floor to the seats and back…While seeing the RAMONES is no longer an option, Markey keeps the flame burning. The lights dim and that familiar 1 2 3 4 pierces the air awakening a 6th sense as only this music can. ❤️🎸
MARKY and his band brought back a lot of memories from my past !!! They sounded great and were very much into it !!! Opening band TUG OF WAR MACHINE was awesome also !!! And the ticket process was very smooth !!!
From the moment the sticks started the opening song to the last encore, Marky Ramone delivered that fun, high energy sound I’ve been missing since the last Ramones show several years ago. All the hits including, “I Wanna be sedated” “Rockaway Beach” “Glad to see you go”led in with the frenetic “ 1 2 3 4”, and some great covers too, like “Palisades Park” Have you ever seen the rain?” “New York, New York” The band was tight and the crowd was singing and slam dancing along to every tune. Thanks for the trip down memory lane driving my car cranking these songs in the late 70’s!!
Great show from Marky as always! The closest you can get to an actual Ramones show. Damn I miss seeing them! 1 1/2 hrs of non-stop Ramones songs. I will definitely go to them next show he plays. I just wish it was more often
The show was great on every level...Marky really brought Rock & Roll back to the Apple the night of December 16th...I was so glad I went...It made my Holiday season...🌺💖💯
No frills venue for stripped down music delivered like a jackhammer in a bucket of oatmeal.
I had only ever watched Ramones concert recordings from years ago.. Marky and this band absolutely put on a total RAMONES experience…. life-changing
