I loved the concert. The DJ was a good idea, but I thought he played too long at times. I love Old School music, but I prefer it in smaller doses at a JAZZ concert! Why is Howard Hewitt on the next concert? He's not a JAZZ performer. Why not add someone like Ken Ford to keep the "Jazzy" flavor? I don't plan to attend next concert because I was at the last one Howard Hewitt "High jacked" causing the plug to be pulled on the headlining act!!!!! (Kirk Wallum).
All I can say is truly AWESOME!!! I live to hear such great sounds as this...The whole venue was just spectacular, love MABLE TON AMP, great everything...just more jazz events would come to Mableton Amp...can't wait for the next one...thank you so much, for such an AWESOME OUTTING....
Great concert, excellent program, nice venue, good atmosphere, live crowd, all-arount great time! It was well worth it.
I enjoyed my evening listening to the smooth jazz by Marion Meadows and his talented band. The location was relaxing and a nice enviroment at the Ritz Theatre in Jacksonville, FL
The Marion Meadows concert was awesome! The only downside was that it did not last long enough -- wish it could have been a full concert.
We had a great time. Music was great. The venue perfect. There is not a bad seat in the house.
Announced show time was 7 but the performance didn't start until 8 and doors opened an hour later with no one able to say what was going on. The show only lasted one hour, and each performer played only a few songs. The music was overly amplified and way too loud to be labeled a smooth jazz concert. The venue was a warehouse with cheap folding chairs. A catering group was barbecuing right outside the concert with smells permeating the room and there was also a popcorn machine set up at the back of the room. It didn't feel like a concert at all, but more like a carnival. The musicians played only from their latest CD's so there were no familiar hits. Overall it was a dismal performance.
ALL I CAN SAY IS THE THE MUSICIANS INCLUDING THE AWESOME BAND AND THE MUSIC WAS FABULOUS
I have known this artist for years. His shows are all exceptional and this one was no one of his best. The venue was amazing! I have gone to nearby restaurants for years and did not know it was here. What an amazing and pleasant surprise!
We really enjoyed this concert. The seats were great. Liked how the group interacted with the audience.
And, as always, Marion Meadows did not disappoint! Thoroughly enjoyable evening!
Oh my gosh! What an amazing show. The pianist, the drummer, the guitarist, made music like they were making love. And Marion topped it all. What a sexy performance!
Great music and great performance, I can't wait to see another one.
Marion Meadows was very personable, and extremely entertaining. Will definitely go to see him again.
The show was great, but it was re-scheduled last minute. We arrived what we thought was a half hour early, but turned out to be more than halfway into the show. So, we only saw about 45 minutes... very disappointing.
I have always wanted to see Marion Meadows live. I havebeen following him for more than 10 years. He is the most sensual, soulful jazz artist I have been so lucky to see in person. What a gift o f talent God has given him. Great show!! Please go and see!
The venue was awesome...perfectly small and sweet. Marion Medows performance was filled with heart and great talent as were his accompaning muscians and guest appearances. I truly enjoyed the whole experience. thanks Marion, June
The key thing about the entire event was how Marion shared the stage with several of his very talented guests.Totally impromptu! It was very educational and motivating. Marion expressed his desire to teach our kids on the origins of Jazz and their significance to everyday life and current music inspirations If you haven't seen this local Phoenix man and his group play...you just gotta go! A very talented group of musicians!
