Marianas Trench in Concert
Multi-Platinum selling progressive pop band Marianas Trench has been big news in Canada for years, and they caught on with US audiences in a major way following their acclaimed 2015 album Astoria, a slick collection of larger-than-life pop masterpieces that showcased their playful lyrical sensibility and knack for anthemic choruses. In concert, Marianas Trench is a whirlwind of emotion and attitude, rocking the stage with adrenaline-filled performances that put their tight musicianship front and center. Frontman Josh Ramsay is a born performer, and his energy is completely infectious as he sings his heart out on upbeat jams like "This Means War" and "Celebrity Status." The rest of the band keeps pace with lively performances that always leave fans thoroughly rocked and ready for more.
Marianas Trench Background
Marianas Trench was formed in Vancouver in 2001 by Josh Ramsay, a singer-songwriter and guitarist who previously fronted the group Ramsay Fiction. He joined forces with Matt Webb (lead guitar), Mike Ayley (bass), and Ian Casselman (drums), and Marianas Trench made their debut in 2002 with a self-titled EP. In 2006, the band released their full-length debut album Fix Me on 604 Records, which they supported with extensive touring across Canada. The album went gold in Canada, but its success paled in comparison to the band's 2009 sophomore LP Masterpiece Theatre, a Top 5 hit on the Canadian Albums Chart that established them as pop royalty virtually overnight. Their third album Ever After was equally well-received, cracking the Top 10 and earning a prestigious Juno Award nomination for Album of the Year, and earning the band the title of Juno Award winners for Group of the Year in 2013. Their fourth album Astoria earned them a 2016 Juno nomination for Group of the Year and unleashed the power ballad Who Do You Love. It also opened up Marianas Trench to the European market where the band toured twice in support of Astoria. Currently in the studio, Marianas Trench is hard at work putting the finishing touches on their 5th album set for release in early 2019.
All of the artists were really good. I was very pleasantly surprised by the opening acts. Merch was good and it was so awesome to see that artists (even the headliner!!) out after the show to sign autographs and take pictures. I had an awesome time and wish I could do it again!!
Marianas Trench was phenomenal! THE BEST SHOW I'VE EVER BEEN TO!! They were flawless. Their vocals and harmonies were perfect. I got goosebumps listening to them. They were full of energy!!

What a great concert, I went to see GHOST TOWN & Marianas Trench. They both had great stage presence. After, I got to meet some of the band members super nice a chill people. If they ever come around the area again they should come back to HOB
Best concert I've ever seen, hands down. Mariana's trench was fantastic, the crowd was wild and the music was as good if not better than it sounds on your iPod.

Best convert I've seen in a long time. It was a true performance and the lead singer was extremely charismatic. It was an intimate yet exciting concert, and Marianas Trench was fabulous :)
I am still not over this concert. All of the acts were so good! Mariana's Trench was so amazing. They were perfectly on pitch the entire time and their charisma really kept the show going. I love this band so much and I promise if you listen to they're albums you'll know why. I wish I could go back and see them again!!
The sound for the first two bands was horrible, but it was awesome when MT came on stage. Great show... can't wait to do the next one.
I could have done without the three opening bands... I suppose maybe they're just not my style,but I think three acts is a bit too much. Marianas Trench was definitely worth the wait though. They blew the roof off the place, proving they sound just as good live as they do on their records! The harmonies were killer, the sound and songs were fantastic, and they showed the audience some unknown talents! Very amazing experience.

All the bands were awesome! The DJ was on when we got there and was the bizzniss!! Too bad the crowd was a bunch of teens/twenties that couldn't appreciate some different music! The LA Guys reminded me of red hot chili peppers a little and DGD ! all in all enjoyable and of course the piece de resistance Mariana's Trench ... That Josh Ramsay can work a crowd ! I can't see how these guys didn't fill that place up! He said they are going to stick around and I hope so! I'd go again for sure! 2 thumbs way up for all the bands!!! Great job!!

When I hear Marianas Trench was olaying in Texas I was STOKED!!! I wasnt that stoked to hear that three other bands were going to be playung before them :( but when I got to listening to the other bands at the event I was very impressed :) I'm glad that the opening bands were enjoyable. I had an amazing time and I found some new songs to listen to :)

Saw Marianas Trench at Bamboozle 2012. Lots of energy! Josh has an amazing voice live. If you love this band you don't want to miss out on seeing them live!

Beyond doubt one of the most amazing shows I've seen. There was a backstory and the theme was dark but still whimsical and true to Trench's humorous nature. Would definitely see them again.
