REALLY WOULD NOT HAVE GONE TO MC SHOW IF I HAD KNOWN SHE WAS GOING TO MAKE US WAIT TILL 11 PM TO PERFORM. PEOPLE WERE STARTRING TO BOO AND CHANT "LETS GO". MC PERFORMACE WAS A BIT OFF AT FIRST THEN SHE BECAME "MIMI". I WANT YOU TO KNOW I LOVE MC AND HAVE SEEN HER PERFORM AWESOME SHOWS MANY TIMES BUT AS A FAN I FEEL SHE DUPED ME WITH THIS ONE!
I have never head of either of the opening acts..and I don't I'll be running out soon to buy their albums....However as a long time fan of Mariah Carey I was more than happy with her preformance....There was a good mix of songs new and old and her voice was in top form...It was a great evening and I'm glad I got to spend it seeing Mariah
She sang so good and looked so good it wasamazing. When she sang all I want for Christmas I was so happy
The Show was good, but I think she could have came out earlier and performed for more time instead of coming out at 11pm meanwhile the doors opened at 8pm, show ended at 12:30 so she technically performed for an 1hr and a half.
What a night!!! Mariah was vocally astounding as usual and belted out the song emotions. It was like hearing her for the first time again. The whole experience was magical and I loved that Mariah made it a party focusing on uptempo music. Job Well Done MC!!! :)
After waiting a long time from the last Mariah concert, she finally appeared in NYC for another concert at MSG. Her last concert was spectacular, but this one was short in actual quantity delivered in performance and long in delays, microphone blunders and other stage errors. She lost a lot of the audience with the long delays, but we still love her. A real longtime fan of Mariah for a number of years, it does not appear that as much real preptime went into this show. The staging was fair, the delays were over an hour, and the DJ's ability to keep pumping up the audience started lacking after the first 1/2 hour. I expect better from Mariah next time. She really is a DIVA and great singer and performer. The actual singing set was maybe one to 1/2 hours at best, and the songlist should have been enhanced. I loved her getting together with Nick, some of the better moments.
She seemed sick or perhaps she's pregnant. didn't move around on stage much, which wasn't the biggest problem. Her crew on stage seemed out of place, premature and the songs weren't her best ones. Aside from that there was too much of a lul between acts, particularly after the DJ. He ramped up the crowd and when he was done, it was at least 1/2 hour before Mariah came on. Disappointing at best. Nonetheless, Mariah is a wonderful singer. Hands down.
I was somewhat dissapointed by mariah. Trey song opened which was o.k . After trey songs performed we had to wait for more than an hour to hear mariah come out. She just sang a few songs, but few from her old albums. I think I would have been better off going to times square for free.
The concert was awesome. Mariah Carey looked and sounded amazing. I just wish she had started to perform earlier than almost 11 pm at night. Plus, the DJ was really great playing a wide variety of new and old school music.
The opening act was good, Trey Songz was great! Dj sus one played for about half and hour all the old school joints I felt like I was in the club! But then we waited and waited and waited , finally an hour later we got to hear MC perform. She was terrific, even though the show felt rushed and she clearly ran out of time and couldn't do an encore. The event needs to be better planned so people are not just sitting there waiting so long. But her performance was really good. More people were on their feet at her august 2006 show because it was more organized and she sang for like 2 and a half hours. Last night she sang from 11:00 to 12:27am so I felt cheated. Overall any Mariah show is worth seeing if your a true fan!
Her performance was average. She did not sing many songs and overall production was disorganized.
The concert was good. I loved the way she came out on the sleigh and the balloons, fireworks, and confetti @ 12. I wish she would have sang some more older songs. I also wish that she would have showed the Time Square ball drop @ midnight since we were in NYC
I loved this show it was so glamorous and fun and Mariah sang better than she has in years.Mariah has such a cute wit and made the Newyear so festive.
This New Year`s Eve Party at Madison Square Garden with Mariah Carey was the best New Year`s Eve that I have passed.

Too long to come on then short performance. Opening acts bad.
First off she did not come out until 11pm and just stumbled through the whole set. This show was on New Year's Eve so everything stopped in the middle for the countdown. All of Mariah's friends and crew seemed to come on the stage to celebrate including her Hubby. This would have been fine if they ever left but they remained on the stage for the rest of the show. It was even more downhill from there with no encore or proper ending. A waste of time and money.
She was terrific on stage but she left too soon after midnight.. For new years eve!!!!!!!!!! She didn't come on stage until 11 pm
I don't know if it was because of New Years Eve, but even though there were 3 seperate artists performing there were long gaps in between shows. Trey Songz only performed like 5 songs in 30 minutes ending around 10pm. Then there was a DJ from 105.1 who was great, but only performed for 30 minutes. This is great if Mariah came right after. Instead there was another 30 minute delay with background music which left you wondering when MC would begin. She finally started at 11pm and performed great. I think they were timing the performance to go past New Years. The count down was great - lots of balloons and confetti. Mariah sang for around 2 hours with songs from various albums. She did have 3 wardrobe changes. Overall, a good time. I would go again.
trey songz was a amazing!! he will be headling a show pretty soon. He was so proffesional and his siging was on point! Mimi well lets just say she is a diva. she did not hit the stage untill 11pm and trey finished at 10pm. She did no choreography. but on the other hand when she did sing it was perefction. the problem was getting her to put down the glass of champagne and sing. All and all i had a good time cause i love MIMI and i was not shocked by her behaivior on new years eve i just wish she would have sang more than 10 short songs with such an extensive catolog to her credit.
