About
Mariah Carey is a singer, songwriter, actress and author from Huntington, New York. Known for her five-octave vocal range and songwriting prowess, Carey is one of the best-selling artists of all time, with a record 18 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 to her name — the most of any solo artist in music history. Carey got her start at 21 with her debut album Mariah Carey, which featured four consecutive chart-topping hits: “Vision of Love,” “Love Takes Time,” “Someday” and “I Don’t Wanna Cry.” Other albums in Carey’s early discography include Emotions (1991), Butterfly (1997), Rainbow (1999), and Charmbracelet (2002). In the mid-2000s, the singer hit the top of the charts again with her smash albums The Emancipation of Mimi (2005), E=MC2 (2008) and Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel (2009). Billboard named her single “We Belong Together” from The Emancipation of Mimi as the defining song of the decade. Also known as the “Queen of Christmas,” Carey became the first artist to score a No. 1 hit across four consecutive decades when her 1994 holiday single “All I Want for Christmas Is You” hit No. 1 for the first time in late 2019 and early 2020, a full 25 years after its initial release. Mariah’s modern holiday classic has since returned to the summit of the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive years running, spending a total of 14 weeks and counting at No. 1.

Mariah was on fire!
by JohnB2 on 1/21/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5The amazing Fox Theatre was the perfect setting for Mimi to do her thing on stage. She has an amazing voice and she's the perfect artist to see live to experience just how incredible her talent is. My boyfriend and I had balcony seats and even though we were up higher, we had a great view of the stage being only 3 rows from the edge. I certainly would say that if you want to see a true artist in concert and hear them singing live, go see Mariah! That is, unless you enjoy paying money to go watch other artists like Britney just dance around and lip-synch their songs and hearing the same CD version of the song! Mariah truly has a wonderful gift that God has blessed her with and she shares that gift with you when you go see her!
Mariah was excellent!!!
by MeganF on 1/21/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5She was totally awesome! I will go see her again! She hit all of her famously high notes & sang some of my favorite songs. I loved it!!!!
Mariah was Mariah
by Anonymous on 1/21/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5My biggest complaint is the hour and a half that we had to wait for her to come out. The concert was supposed to start @ 7:30 but she did not come out till 9pm. If you want to start at 9 then say so but dont keep people waiting like our time is not valuable, especially those of us who drove an hour and half to the concert. Other than that she was awesome, she continues to prove why she's the best, what a voice even live. This is why I am such a huge fan even though you made me wait Mariah but thats what makes you a diva!! so am I....
Mariah Carey was great!
by Bluenovel on 1/21/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5Mariah Carey's performance was great! She looked great! She sang fan favorites, remixes and new songs. The fans loved all of the songs. She sang beautifully and hit every note. Her dancers, band and back-up singers were awesome, too. I really enjoyed the show!
Mariah was amazing!!!
by Kevin85 on 1/21/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5This is a must see for any Mariah fan. She night not dance, BUT she will knock your socks off while she sings.
Voice was great, overall show was poor.
by GeorgiaGuy50 on 1/21/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5Mariah had a unknown trio open for her, which lasted about 25 minutes. Then we had to wait an additional hour before Mariah took to the stage. Tickets stated that the concert was start at 7:30, but Mariah didn't take to the stage until 9:00. Crowd was getting frustrated. Last year, I had to wait an hour before Madonna took to the stage...Mariah broke that record by making us wait 1 1/2 hours. Her performance was pretty good. She has an amazing voice, but spent time changing costumes about four times while the band played. Counting the time she changed outfits, she was on the stage for only 1 1/2 hours. Was truly disappointed that she didn't perform more of her well-known songs. She didn't even perform an encore. Guess she was tired from partying at the Golden Globe awards two days before.
Mariah: The Best Show Ever!!!
by Truegemini on 1/20/10Fox Theatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5The show was amazing from start to finish. I mean her voice was incredible. The entire audience was so hype, it was like they never stopped cheering and screaming for MIMI. I loved how the show had a elegent vibe to it. The singers sounded reaaly good too. And the dancers were awesome. I would definetely pay to see this women again, and again, and again. SHE WAS THE BEST!
Mariah so on FIYAHH!
by SIllasil on 1/20/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5My friend and I had so much fun and ABSOLUTELY enjoyed her performance. Wish I could do it all over again.
Mariah outdid herself again!
by MsFrassine on 1/20/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5Mariah really did her thing last night! This tour is for her TRUE fans. She performed songs that only her real fans would know. She took songs from CDs that were never released as singles, so you would have to have the CD to know the song. She made it personal and always made sure the audience was having a good time. She even took it back to the 90s and performed "Emotions" and "Make it Happen". The show was amazing. I've been to every Mariah concert and she always seems to out-do herself each time.

Mariah Carey the Diva!
by SweetfreakiNCheekz on 1/20/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5Mariah is a Diva!! yes! She has a cute sense of humor and great stage presence! I wanted her to hug me so bad though I was pretty far though! I really love her though. She is so beautiful and her voice was amazing song after song! :)
Save your Money
by Bikenpooh on 1/20/10Fox in Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5Opening act (if you call them that) was bad and played for 15 minutes. Left waiting for almost an 1 1/2 hours Mariah"s voice was good but the sound at The Fox wasn't that great No stage show few dancers and Mariah complaining about her hair doesn't make for a good show Can I have my money back!!!!!!!!!! Paid way to much for 1/2 concert Even divas will loss fans if this is the performance they give
Super show
by Agie123 on 1/20/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5Mariah always gives best of her. The show and just her voice is just the best.
Mariah @ MGM Foxwoods
by DawnN on 1/20/10The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - MashantucketRating: 4 out of 5Mariah was fantastic! Looked a little stiff at first. By her third song, she had loosened up, had a groove and looked like she was having a good time onstage. Unfortunately our seats were dissappointing considering the amount of money spent on them. In truth, there are no bad seats at MGM. Wish I had known this before spending $250 per ticket. Would have been just as pleased with the $90 seats.
Disapointed
by NikDisapointed on 1/20/10The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - MashantucketRating: 1 out of 5hour and half late. No annocments that concert would be late while waiting. Sat and waited, everyone booood. Once started, was not worth the large amount of money spent on this Xmas gift.
- by Anonymous on 1/20/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5
Mariah was fantastic! This was my second time seeing her and I loved it!
WHATS UP WITH THAT?
by SMUFAN on 1/20/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5AWFUL! I had always heard what a great performer Mariah was but I was very disappointed with the concert. First of all she was an hour late. Second she only played for an hour and twenty minutes. The audience was booing because of the delay and a few people even left! If I hadn't spent as much money on the tickerts I would have left too!
Mariah was tardy for her party!
by beyoncesecondtimearound on 1/20/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5Mariah Carey was quite tardy for her Atlanta concert party. She had a quite new and definitely a work in progress opening act of three young men (name not memorable yet) who only sang for 30 minutes from 7:30-8:00. This left die-hard fans waiting for an hour for Mariah to arrive on stage at 9:00 on a week day evening, This is a no-no in the ATL. Mariah finally arrived on stage and began the following set list (with my ratings/grades): "Butterfly Intro / Daydream Interlude" (B+ the sound was a little choppy for 30-45 seconds, but her coming down from the ceiling in an angelic white ballerina dress was very hot) "Shake It Off" (She did a great job A rating) "Touch My Body" (This was also sung very well!- A+) "Fly Like A Bird" (A++ She sang this just like the record and raised the roof with the final high octave squeal and call out to Jesus!) "Make it Happen" (This was good, but had the same familiar "Don't let go, Don't ever, ever let go that has been around since the 90s-B+). "Angels Cry" (AWESOME-She made a tribute to the people in Haiti; there was also a very flexible couple of male and female ceiling dancers that only made this song hotter!-A++) "Subtle Invitation" (A surprise song from Charm bracelet-A rating) ""It's Like That" (Jermaine Dupri was gone by then...so it was funny to hear his parts now-A-) "The Impossible" ( I know this song, but do not remember her singing it!) "Love Hangover / Heartbreaker" (Awesome- A+-The Dina Ross Love Hangover from Diva's live was used, but she added a little slow spin--aka Diana Ross style- A rating) "Honey" (This was good, but not really new in style B+ rating) "It's A Wrap" (The crowd was up on their feet for this!! A+) "My All" (B+ She was on a lounge chair and did not bang this one out). "Emotions" (AWESOME--A++ She hit those final squeals with perfection and nearly fainted in my opinion to get them out) "Obsessed" (A crowd pleaser- A++) "Up Out My Face" (She DID NOT do this song in Atlanta!! That would have been so hot considering how we feel about marching bands) "We Belong Together" (A+) "Hero" (A+)
Mariah in Atlanta
by mia404 on 1/20/10Fox Theatre Atlanta - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5This is my third time seeing Mariah in concert in Atlanta. I can not believe we had to wait almost 2 hours till the show began! On top of that, she really didn't put a show for us like I expected. She did not sing all her classic songs like Dreamlover or Always be My Baby. She sang pieces during songs and not the entire song. Too much of the background and pre-recorded than her actual singing. It ended within an hour and half. I feel like the show could have been better and there was no opening acts that was good nor any guest appearances that really "performed" beside JD. I am really disappointed with the show.
