Maria Bamford Tickets

I went for Maria Bamford, but was pleasantly surprised by Brandi. She's got chops, and the audience loved her! The Fitz is a beautiful old theater, and apart from some posts where TV's are hung there's hardly a bad seat In the house (even in the balconies!) The Lobby is faaar too small for any theater. I didn't use the bathroom, but I can only imagine. But, there are two different counters where drinks are served. The lady that I went to was very friendly. Anyway, Maria was hilarious, and I love her platinum blonde hair! I also loved how (a few times) after she would say something, there was a sputtering of initial laughter and then it would just continue to get louder after a few more seconds. Gotta let it settle in. Looking forward to the Spring Wits!

I would highly recommend Wits to anybody looking for great comedy sketches and talented musical acts. Highly entertaining.

The whole show was awesome. Brandi was a standout.

So much talent. Maria Bamford and Brandi Carlile are both at the top of their game. The host was spot on and equally as entertaining.

It was a nice show, very personal, homey and funny. The venue and variety show theme made for a wonderful evening. The improv parts were awesome.

Have loved her on Comedy Central. Got to catch an intimate show in a small venue recently and she had my friend and I laughing so hard we had tears running down our faces. Bamford is a quirky, off kilter performer who bares her slightly-less-than-sane soul to her audience, holding nothing back. Comedians willing to reveal warts and all are always the funniest...they are like a high wire act operating without a net. I was surprised she had so much fresh material as I don't think this show was part of a new tour. If you get a chance to see this lady, grab it! (Her show is clean, but perhaps too sophisticated for kids.)
