This was my first time seeing Marcia Ball live. The show was fantastic! Her non-stop energy and conversational style of rollicking cajun blues was just what I needed to end my week and start my weekend.

Rating: 4 out of 5 Awesome talent.
by Labrat2 on 1/24/11Saenger Theatre Mobile - MobileDon't know when I've seen so mucu musical talent on one stage. Both groups were awesome! Too loud for my taste. The spontaneous dancing blocked our view for much of the show.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Marcia Ball is a class act!!
by Amtraklady on 1/23/11Saenger Theatre Mobile - MobileWe arrived at the Saenger eagerly anticipating an evening of great music, and we definitely were not disappointed. Marcia's keyboard playing was outstanding, as well as her singing, and we thoroughly enjoyed her choices in musical selections. Most were fast paced and a few slower but all were great. I was just sorry that my youngest daughter had to work because this is her kind of music, her daddy and I enjoyed it for her! The musicians who accompanied her were outstanding as well. They all seemed to enjoy each others playing which always adds greatly to the entertainment. I look forward to seeing Marcia and her group as often as the Saenger will have them perform.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Marcia Ball never gets older - just better!
by Meme1959 on 1/23/11Saenger Theatre Mobile - MobileThe first act Michael Doucet was great and very entertaining. Marcia was all that we expected. My husband had never seen her, but he will never forget her. He did not go hunting that weekend, to attend this event. Thanks for a great night out - the Saenger was great and so was the staff.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Marcia Ball a fabulous lady
by unme on 8/25/10Bears Den At Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel - Niagara FallsMarcia is a superb vocalist and keyboarder. Able to put real heart and soul into her blues selections. Why her concerts aren't more heavily attended is a real mystery. Of course I have same feeling towards Spyogyra.

by OrganGrinder on 8/21/10Bears Den At Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel - Niagara FallsMarcia and her band are one class act. We've had the privilege of seeing her on the last Delbert Sandy Beaches Cruise. She's one of a kind. As Delbert likes to say "Music too good for radio". We'll see her again in January "on the boat".

Rating: 5 out of 5 Marcia Ball was Amazing!
by moricher on 8/21/10Bears Den At Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel - Niagara FallsMarcia Ball was incredibly high energy--the band was outstanding and the chemistry between the bandmates was evident. I thought the show was incredibly short, and then looked at the time and 2 hours had passed! She was mesmerizing. I was suprised it wasnt a sold out show. The Bears Den is always the best place to see a show because it can feel so intimate.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Fabulous show!
by Gattone on 8/21/10Bears Den At Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel - Niagara FallsI've seen Marcia once before at the Waterfront festival several years ago. I was blown away then but this time was unbelievable. From the first tune they were on fire. They were in a state of flow for the entire show. I'm on my way to the record store to load up on some CDs. Thanks Marcia! Come back soon.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Great Show as Usual
by EarlTintheD on 8/15/10The Ark - Ann ArborIt is always a great time to see Marcia and the band perform. We try to catch them every time they come to town. last night was a step up, I think they performed for 2 1/2 hours. I was worn out from dancing in my seat. It adds so much when you see them having so much fun up there. Long Tall Marcia Ball!
Rating: 5 out of 5 Marcia Ball at The Ark or anywhere....
by jerdogg on 8/15/10The Ark - Ann ArborMarcia Ball and her band played for 3 hours with her fine band. Her keyboard playing is finaminal... Her guitar player did some excellent solos. The saxaphone was great as well as the rest of the band bass and drums... She tried to honor all requests from the audience who all seemed to be big fans. For 61 years of age she is even better than years ago when I first saw her show. The only dissapointment would be that there was no dance floor. I am always used to seeing this Marcia Ball show with room for dancing.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Marcia Ball was awesome!
by A2Arborgal on 8/15/10The Ark - Ann ArborIt was an incredible concert - the band played tight, competent honky tonk and the Ark rocked! With her incredible piano playing, the lead guitarist's incredible licks, the amazing saxophonist, excellent drummer and bass guitarist, Marcia Ball gave a wonderful performance. Can't wait for her next performance here in Ann Arbor (but why do we have to wait a year?)
Rating: 5 out of 5 Marcia Ball was completely fabulous, but
by rdspdx on 5/27/10Aladdin Theater - Portlandwhat on earth was wrong with the sound board and lights. Sounded horrible at times and lights seemed out of sync with the experience - some times shining them in audience's eyes. It was all really distracting. Great to see Lloyd Jones too.
Rating: 4 out of 5by frogfan on 5/27/10Aladdin Theater - Portland Marcia Ball and her band where fantastic! She was all I remembered her to be. Vocals were a little hard to understand but her voice was in great shape. Each musician had something to contribute. The young organ player was fun to watch and hear. My only disappointment was the opening act. They had nice harmonies but they kept getting louder with each song. The music wasn't on par with Marcia Ball. I wonder how they got the gig.
