    Thumbs up and Thumbs down

by M.S. on 8/24/21Berks Jazz Fest - Reading

Marcia Ball cancelled at the last minute. No explanation was give to us. Deanna Bogert was a very funny & good musician and it was extremely nice of her to fill in on such short notice. She played a few songs alone and then with Tommy Castro. Tommy and his band were really good but I was VERY disappointed in the length of time they played (it was less than 1 hour). James Supra and Sarah Ayers Band were very entertaining. Mr. Supra was an exceptional harmonia player. I was not pleased with the spacing of the concerts, there was a huge gap of time in between the concerts. I was impressed with the Willow Glen Park venue with the tent, chairs and the large fans which made it very comfortable even though the weather was hot and humid.

    Marcia Ball-okay- Once Ballroom, eh,

by Bill on 3/1/20ONCE Ballroom - Somerville

I purchased tickets to see Marcia Ball and Sonny Landreth at the Wilbur and was notified the show was moved to the Once Ballroom in Somervile, a few weeks before the performance. Landreth played excellently from 8 PM to 9:15 PM however the songs seemed to run together and we really wanted to hear Marcia. I paid for 4 Mezzanine seats at the Wilbur and when asking for seat location at the Once we were told we could sit anywhere from the a half to a quarter way from the stage: in this carpeted floor hall. The plastic folding chairs were not what I paid for nor was the venue. During softer musical sounds of the many acoustic guitar songs played by Landreth and during a M. Ball break between songs, the bass could be heard from the louder band in the adjacent room. We stayed for only 5 of Marcia's songs. The tickets were a Christmas gift to my brother-in-law who really likes Marcia Ball. We were all very disappointed with the Once: Once is definitely too much.

    Great venue, great show!

by C. S. on 2/28/20Crystal Bay Club Casino Crown Room - Crystal Bay

Marcia Ball brought her high-energy New Orleans boogie-woogie love and Sunny Landreth displayed the fact that he is one amazing guitar virtuoso. Top 10 show.

    Marcia and Sonny

    by TomH on 3/10/19Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

Marcia was awesome and her band was incredible as well! Sonny Landreth opened and did a double show, four song acoustic set then short break and kicked it up electrically. Great Fat Tuesday night!

    amazing music

by Mister Science on 3/8/19Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

Sonny Landreth was the primary draw for me. I've been listening to his incredible guitar for decades so being able to see him perform was pure satisfaction. The two-set format was brilliant. We had excellent seats - the sight lines were superb. Audio was well-mixed too. This was my third visit to the Northern Lights Theater (previous: Pretenders, Smithereens) - all rank among my favorite concerts in Milwaukee.

by L. L. on 1/16/19Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

Loved her. Only complaint is she faced to the left and we were on the right so couldn’t see her face tho we were in the front row. Enjoyed anyway.

    Great show!

by E. W. on 1/15/19Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

Marcia and the band were fabulous! Unfortunately, they were having some technical difficulties throughout the performance that was a bit distracting (to them and the audience), but that didn't take much away from their great set. I would definitely see them again. I really enjoy the intimacy of the venue for acts like this.

    Very Enjoyable Event

by Cy212 on 5/5/18House of Blues New Orleans - New Orleans

Piano Night is always a terrific opportunity to experience a large array of musical talent in one night. The event is well run and everyone seems to really appreciate the musical talent. It should be on the bucket list of any music lover.

    Marcia never disappoints.

by Jody24 on 10/26/15Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

I have followed Marcia's career since 1970 and have purchased everything she has recorded. If she is within 3 hours driving distance I am going and I always pick her weekend to attend the New Orleans Jazz fest. She and the band were not only the main attraction but the warm-up act too. treated to a double dose 2 fav songs Louella and Louisiana 1927 would have liked to hear Power of Love but she can't do all of her songs.

    Marcia Ball

by Beauxnoel on 10/26/15Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

Marcia Ball played 2 sets because the 1st act couldn't make it. She played both sets with great energy, and enthusiasm! It was a real treat for all of us attending. Her band is exceptional! Each member very talented. After the show, she took time with each quest who wanted a photo with her, a signed CD, or just to chat for a moment. She is a rare performer who is passionate about her music, and truly cares for her fans. So happy I could be a part of this magical night!

Marcia Ball - Amazing As Always

by FanOfMarcia on 10/26/15Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

My wife and I saw Marcia Ball at the Ponte Vedra FL Concert Hall on 10/23/15, and the performance was outstanding. Her opening act canceled so Marcia's band played 2 sets. We have seen her before when she played in Atlanta and she always gives 110%. The best part of the show is when she really gets into it on the keyboards--what energy and talent! Bought her most recent CD and she autographed it & took a photo with us--we were the last in line but she was so gracious. This woman is 66 but has the energy and drive of a 20 year old--we hope she never retires!

    Marcia Ball shook the roof

by OjaiBoozoo on 10/1/15The Canyon - Agoura Hills

I discovered Marcia Ball at a Bonnie Raitt concert in New Orleans 20 years ago. Bonnie told everyone her dear friend wasn't to be missed at Jazz Fest the next day. I have been dancing to her boogie woogie key board ever since. She is the real deal. She had the entire venue on their feet dancing and grinning Sunday night. And her band was extremely talented.

    Louisiana blues at its best

by Mirek42 on 9/30/15The Canyon - Agoura Hills

Unfortunately the lunar eclipse was way outshined by the Marcia Ball star. The two events collided on the same date, but Marcia was much better.

Marcia Ball plays the keyboard like none other!

by CharGort on 9/30/15The Canyon - Agoura Hills

I have seen Marcia Ball several times and she never disappoints a crowd. She kicks butt on the keyboard and has fun tunes like The Tattoo Lady and the Alligator Man. That song is unforgettable. Her band is equally as talented. Great show!

Marcia Ball is rollicking, good-time fun

by DramaDeb on 5/17/15Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

Marcia Ball and her tight four-piece band had the audience at Atlanta's Variety Playhouse jumping, as usual. Her brand of Texas-Louisiana boogie and blues kept toes tapping and dancers swinging, and she made her rollicking piano playing look effortless. She could have played all night and no one would have left. Quite a show.

    Fabulous as always

by RueMyRue on 5/11/15Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

Marcia Ball is awesome. She plays that piano like no one else; her songs and music are fantastic. Her sax and base player added to a great concert.
