MARC BROUSSARD IN CONCERT:
Whether he's incorporating funk, blues, or R&B into his soulful pop sound, Marc Broussard always stays true to his Southern roots. Known for his unique brand of "Bayou soul" the singer-songwriter is a fiery performer, imbuing his tunes with enough passion and energy to make a river jump its banks. From laid back renditions of classics like "Home" to unique live interpretations of newer material like "Only Everything," Broussard never fails to make fans feel right at home with the easy-going vibe of his intimate live shows.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born and raised in Louisiana, Marc Broussard's musical roots are closely linked to the state — his father Ted Broussard is a Louisiana Hall of Fame guitarist and former member of swamp pop group the Boogie Kings. After a stint with a Christian band in the early '00s, Broussard's solo career kicked off with several independent efforts that included 2002's Momentary Setback. In 2004, he released his major label debut Carencro on Island Records. The album, an homage to his childhood home of Carencro, produced several Top 40 hits on the US Adult Pop Songs chart, including "Where You Are." Since then Broussard has continued to release albums while touring extensively, including his participation in the 2007 Entertain the Troops tour in the Middle East. Back on the road, Broussard will treat fans to his signature good humor and extended sets of uplifting tunes on a string of upcoming tour dates.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"Marc really is an incredible talent who pours his heart into his blue-eyed soul. While it comes through on his recorded music, it's really evident when you see him live."
"He sings with such conviction and soul - that I damn near cried during a couple of songs. It is a complete privilege to see Marc play live."
"...each time he gets better and better. As usual, his brand of rock, soul and bluesy jazz killed the house. Whether he is singing a grinding rock song or a soulful ballad, the listener can feel each and every emotion."

I just adore Marc Broussard in general but this concert was so good. The Venue is incredible and Marc and his whole band was amazing. Cheers!
My husband and I this together. Marc Broussard was amazing. He has also assembled a fantastic group of musicians to accompany him. He interacted with the audience and played the songs people came to hear. Fun evening!
My wife got me into Broussard a while back and he's been heavy in my rotation ever since. I had kept an eye out for him on tour and it finally happened. We drove to Knoxville from Nashville to see him. The Tennessee Theater is an awesome little venue in Old Knoxville. Broussard was amazing. He played mostly old stuff back the band was super tight and the energy was very high. The crowd was super into it. Can't wait to catch him again next time!
Not only is the Taft an acoustically FANTASTIC venue to see live music at, Marc Broussard was phenomenal! The 20th Anniversary Tour of Carencro was AMAZING!
So cool that 20 years ago Marc was on his way home from Alabama..."Somewhere 'round mile marker 112"...and the rest is history!! Happy Anniversary Carencro!! Y'all crushed every song!!
Broussard was very good. Excellent back up band. The opener, Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers were also excellent. Nice surprise.
Highly recommend seeing Marc Broussard if you get the chance.
I've been a fan of Marc's since his first album 20 years ago and have seen him many times at many venues. This was possibly the best show yet. The band was smoking hot and their background vocals were amazing. Marc, as usual, crushed it. His voice is powerful as ever.
This was my 3rd Marc Broussard concert, and it certainly won't be my last! Marc has a great raspy, bluesy, soulful voice. He's a terrific songwriter, and his band is super tight. If you don't know what 'Cajun Soul' is, check out Marc Broussard. You'll find out soon enough. And if you are lucky enough to have this gentleman in concert near you, go. Hands down, one of the best shows you'll ever see!!!
Marc and his band were on point once again. Great setlist with all of our favorites included.
This was the second time seeing Marc at The Walker Theatre. The first time I was on a date and sat up in the balcony at the end of an aisle of chairs. It was super easy to get up to dance and we had a great time. I left feeling exuberant that the music was exceptional and the venue super intimate with lots of charm. After much consternation, I sat down on the main floor in Row G (in one of the church pews) close to the stage for this concert. It took until the 3rd song to get up out of our church pew row and dance in the large side aisle, which made it more fun. I must say it is awfully weird for me to see 99.3% of the people sitting in their seat listening to the music and have to believe it wears on the musicians some. Being on the stage is simply more energizing when the audience is engaged and dancing with you...period! All that to say, I thought the music was solid but must admit that out of the four times I've seen Marc live, this was the worst one. Moving forward, I will see Marc and the band at other venues like The Eastern (in ATL) because sitting in a church pew with the rest of the audience is simply not for me.
Marc Broussard’s concerts are always first class experiences. We loved the venue and hope to see more events there in the future. We are also very thankful for the ADA seating. The only drawback to that was the seats were directly in front of the speakers.
What an entertainer. Great musicians backing him up. They were all so talented.
We had a great time Marc Broussard and Seth Walker brought down the house. We attended both Friday and Saturday nights. Never saw so many mature people get on their feet and feel the beat. I’m 77 years old and the concert was the best.. Marc keep on rocking in the free world…🎶
Marc Broussard gave it his all in the Saturday night performance; and I love that his strong voice is distinct and never drowned out by the band. They all work together to make the Blues excellent.
This show was amazing. Both Seth Walker and Marc Broussard brought the house down. Worth the price of admission and then some. Would recommend for anyone who loved music and artists that have passion and love their craft. Wish there was a meet and greet package or something along those lines. Also wish the show was longer. If you get a chance to go you won't regret it.
Awesome artist who performed a classic 20year old album in a fantastic venue! What more needs to said?
From warm-up act Seth Walker until Marc Broussard's encore, the joint was jumping. Fantastic music and stage performance by all of the ensemble.
Marc Broussard met all my expectations at this concert. Such a great band full of incredible talent. Personal and enjoyable. The 1st band was so good I bought 2 albums. Chairs for audience are TOO tight!
